venue size
Saw in a recent interview the Twins are open to a U.S. tour. I am in the Seattle area and am wondering what would be a proper size venue for the Twins? Paramount Northwest, maybe The Fifth Avenue, maybe a bit south in Tacoma or north in Everett. With covid this isnt anything that is going to happen tomorrow which means lots of time to plan, hope, find promoters sponsors etc. I am 73 years old and have slept in my car many times so any where within a days drive would be good in my mind. Maybe a summer outdoor concert at Husky Stadium!!!

i believe that sizing a venue properly is sort of a chicken & egg problem.
It’s probably better to think small and turn people away than to play to empty seats.
Maybe play at a club all weekend.I wonder how big the cavern club is.

Hi Will, for sound quality I think the 5th Avenue theater (similar to the Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver) would be ideal, large (2130 capacity), and with great acoustics for us most ardent fans, but they deserve to fill up a 60,000 seat football stadium one day!

When I lived in Rhode Island I saw several concerts at the Warwick Musical Theatre, which had a theatre-in-the-round design. The stage was in the center and mounted on a slowly rotating platform: one full rotation every 15 minutes. The seating capacity was around 3000, but the worst seat was only about 100 feet from the stage.
It was a great venue for mid-sized shows, and might have worked well as a site for a northeastern U.S. stop on an MLT tour. Unfortunately it was torn down about 20 years ago and replaced with a home improvement store.

Great Post, In Pittsburgh Pa I think Heinz Hall would be a perfect fit for the twins. I am guessing close to 600? Not 100% sure but would be great if they did a two or three day show there. Our Pittsburgh Sympathy Orchestra play there so the sound is awesome and to me? That would be a dream come true for me, and Jung, I agree maybe our Football Stadium where our Pittsburgh Steelers play, Heinz Field would be so cool. 68,000 Plus. I saw the Rolling Stones there back in 2015 and it was a great show and the sound again is awesome. I can just hear the Mona Lisa twins now with Drive My Car as the opener…Go Mona and Lisa ……!!!!!

would it be ok to see them in a small club once before they move up to a football stadium?I would hate to see them invest in a sound system like the Rolling Stones or the Grateful Dead until
they had one successful trip over here.

Excellant point about sound system etc. Also point has been made that until the Twins are better known in the U.S. smaller venue such as a club would be better – weekend in jammed club better than a half empty area or concert hall. That is an area local promoters, booking agents etc would be best involved with. And a LOT of pre event word of mouth spreading of the word.

My two cents. I would say a maximum venue of 400 seats would likely work. There are several to choose from across NA. If two or three shows per location is needed, then it could work out. MIke.
