Ich verstehe nicht
I am not bilingual although I am taking a course in German ( ich sauce daran). Ich finde dich hubsch und entzuckend. Do you find yourself listening in one language and trying to translate it to the other or can you “think” in both German and English?

Hi Tim, hats off for giving German a go. You certainly didn’t pick the easiest language to learn from scratch 😉
There isn’t much of an internal “translation” going on when we speak either language, I would say. At least I am not conscious of that extra “step”. We still mainly “think” German but when we’re around and talking to people in English, especially for a longer period of time, our “internal” voice also switches to English.
