Brand New Key
While roller skating as kids, or even later as young ladies, did you ever sing Melanie’s “Brand New Key”? I had a pair of old-school clamp-on skates as a kid that actually attached to my shoes using a key. I think my Mom got ’em at a rummage sale. I honestly sang what lyrics I knew at the time of Melanie’s song as I cruised the sidewalks on my block! Good times!

We wish we did that! But we didn’t know of Melanie’s song yet during our short-lived roller-skating career from the age of ~ 6-10 ;-D
We only got into her music later down the line but “Brand New Key” is definitely one of our favourites by her now ♥
