Our Grandparents Visited Us In The UK For The First Time – Photos

As unplanned and spontaneous as the move to Liverpool in 2014 was for us, it must have come as an even bigger surprise to our grandparents Ilse & Franz (Michaela’s parents). Never did they expect that our little musical excursion to Ireland would result in their daughter + son in law + grandchildren moving to Liverpool. In a matter of two weeks and for what have become more than 5 years now.

Mixed with the happiness and excitement of starting this new adventure was, of course, the fact that we were going to miss our family and friends back in Austria. Having Franz and Ilse make the 1500 km (930 miles) trip to see us in our new home for the first time, reuniting this little family unit, felt comforting.

We were so proud to show them our new life “Up North” and share the beauty of Merseyside with them. Franz is an avid photographer, who captured our time together and the wonder of this place beautifully. Most of the pictures below are by him, of their very first visit to Liverpool in August 2014. To this day we never got tired of visiting the Beatles capital, and through his eyes Liddypool is even more charming.

  1. Awesome and stunning photography…. These photography skills are definitely worthy of praise, and quality family time is precious regardless of where one lives, miles separating, Heart of Family never goes far, stays in the heart, but to get the opportunity to “Come Together” and enjoy and embrace face to face, it just offers that of a sweeter bonus, I’m ecstatic that the Grandparents came to visit and to spend the precious moments, see the sights and sounds of Liverpool, to show them at the time, your new chapter of life, Liverpool Living… Luv All The photos, captures the essences of the Spirit, Soul, Heart of you all!! ?
