Beatle Week 2014 – Photos
‘International Beatle Week’ is a always a huge deal in Liverpool, when literally thousands of tourists are flooding the city, all of them humming Beatles songs as they leave their hotel rooms in the morning until they return to retire for a short night.
Every year during the festival there are countless live shows and events taking place each day in about a dozen different venues. Everything from talks by contemporaries of the “Beatles world” to full-on rock’n’roll cover shows at the Cavern Club, to memorabilia markets and also shows by bands like us – who would integrate a lot of Beatles material in their usual sets to please the festival crowds.
It’s a hoot for every Beatles/music fan. It certainly was for us, when we performed there during our first year living in the UK. We played several shows a day, all across Liverpool and met fans and other bands from literally all around the globe.
We had visited the festival a couple of years prior as “just fans” (the same year when we did our Strawberry Fields recording) and we still remember us standing in the audience back then, wondering if “we could do that, too, one day”. Turns out we could! 🙂
This photo archive album is from 2014 when we were part of the line-up for the very first time, and everything has still been brand new to us.

Loved seeing these wonderful photos of my favorites as fearless teenagers conquering Liverpool musically!
Some extremely nice photos here ladies. I’m sure it would have been a very exciting time for you. Oh, how wonderful it must have been to be one of your fans in the audience in these very intimate venues!
Absolutely luv all the pix from this archive and indeed by the photos, it is a truly festive and Beatles vibe very much so going on all over and I even spot a few folks I recognize in some of the pix … The photo of you both beside the ladies on stilts, I just got more self conscious about just how short I am, even next to you both, I’d still be somewhat dwarfed upon…lol….Certainly can sense the enthusiasm, vibe, excitement, lively atmosphere, etc that all makes up for what International Beatles Week is about and why it’s world renowned amongst all time music festivals that exist and if one can, to by all means, make the trip and enjoy all the goodies this week has to offer up….A fine collection of photos , Thankyou for sharing, it’s like we are all there alongside with you all , enjoying and embracing the sights and sounds, rock n roll Liverpool style !!!!
Wow, what awesome up close stage shots. Some of the pictures here give really good perspective of how compact the Cavern club really is. Can almost feel the vibrations off those amplifier speakers and the exciting vibrant atmosphere of the small crowd in front of the stage. I can see how the Cavern Club can be an incredible little place to experience the music. I can almost hear the music! Thanks for sharing all these moments.
In one of the photos, I couldn’t help but notice all those “Orange” stickers all around the stage, like a prophetic image of a future album in your destiny.
