• A white New Year?

A warm spell just before Christmas melted what little snow we had, resulting in a green Christmas here in NW Illinois. Just blew and shoveled about a foot of new snow that fell overnight before heading to work.  Had a GREAT Christmas, despite covid, white or green regardless. Guess it’s gonna be a white New Year, instead. Blessings to all!

    Hi Jeffery

A few weeks ago we got 15″ where I am in N.Y. but it’s all gone now thankfully. They got 40″ way upstate though!  We used to get tons of snow when I was a kid decades ago but not as much now a days. That’s O.K. with me! No white new year for me and that’s just fine by me.

Have a happy one Jeffery and the rest of you reading this!

Hi Jeffry, here in the Canadian pacific northwest we had a sudden snowfall a few days before Christmas that lasted through Christmas Eve and into very early Christmas morning giving us a white Christmas probably for the first time in over 10 years.  It all melted away Christmas day though as it rained.  Hope you have a beautiful white New Years.  🙂

Thomas, I can’t imagine what 40 inches of snow must be like.  Growing up a foot or more of snow was not very uncommon here, but lately in the last 20 years or so, we average maybe 3 or 4 inches at most each winter, that only hangs around for a week at the most.   Have a great  New Year.
