I lived
Posted by Tim Johnston on 18/01/2024 at 21:19I just got over the cold that I blame Mona gave to me.🤧
I still love her🥰.
If I ever actually met Mona or Lisa and they gave me the plague, I would not complain.
I hope all of you are feeling well and staying warm. It hit 30 degrees here today, I also drove around with the window open. Snow tonight and highs in the teens this weekend.

I had that crud between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was rough going for a while and had to sleep in my recliner to stay elevated. But, all is well now except for the weather.
Tuesday Dec. 9th and Wednesday Dec. 10th we got Ice and snow. I saw videos of 18 wheelers on I-65,here in central Alabama, crashing into each other and off the side of the interstate. Yesterday morning the Dec. 18th, at 6AM it was 8deg. F and for tonight and tomorrow night they say 14deg. F or -10deg C. with daytime temps below freezing. Too cold🏂🥶 for the south! -
I probably shouldn’t even say this but….everyone around me is or has been sick in the last few weeks but somehow I have managed to escape what ever it is that is going around. DC/Maryland hasn’t seen any snow accumulation is 2 years but now we have about 6-8 inches of a really nice light fluffy snow. Mushu (our Shetland Sheepdog) absolutely loves playing soccer with me and my wife in the back yard with all this snow. He also thinks that snow shovels are evil things that must be barked at non-stop!!
As for Mona giving you that nasty cough, I’m glad you lived!

I spent 4 days together with 2 dozen of my family around New Years and only 2 cases of Covid. None of the rest of us got sick at all. My 2 older sisters got it, or had it, but they’re both ok.
Glad you guys are ok too.

Other than my bout of COVID in October, I haven’t really had much to complain about in 4-5 years. Lots to be said for caution in public and social distancing I guess. Some of my friends joked (I hope) that they’ve been trying to distance themselves from me for some time…🤣
Of late though, there has been an outbreak of RSV in our local healthcare facility so I haven’t gone in to visit my ailing family member since last Tuesday. I haven’t dropped the coin on the inoculation for it though. Hopefully I don’t regret that move, I hear from some that have suffered it and it’s very nasty. I will mask up and go in today though regardless.-
My wife, who is somewhat prone to verbal typos, said recently that she was thinking about getting the “RSVP shot”. I thought (but didn’t dare say), “Don’t you have to receive an invitation for that?”

Wise move on your part. Comments like that will get you the ol STINK EYE, or worse.
We have all been there.🤣
