Shooting “Once Upon A Time” In Lanzarote – Photos

To go along with the Early Access release of our video for “Once Upon A Time” we want to show you some of the photos taken during the video shoots on the Canary Islands!

Lanzarote’s scenery is one of a kind, and while we set out to mainly write songs during our stay, we just couldn’t let this opportunity go to waste. After all, we can write songs back home, too, but we can’t take the volcanoes with us, can we?

Thinking ahead of what videos we could possibly film there, we brought at least one suitcase full of props and extra clothes. Leave it to Michaela to make use of every square millimeter in a suitcase without exceeding baggage weight allowances.

This gallery will give you a glimpse “behind-the-scenes” which, considering it’s vast and open landscapes, is quite a paradox in Lanzarote. Also, as you might have figured out by now, behind-the-scenes is not uncommonly in-front-of-the-scenes with the Wagner family.

  1. Love the photos! Beautiful place, beautiful girls and a great looking guy. The video is amazing. I think it will soon be the most viewed video. I am excited to see what happens. Thanks for sharing the pictures.Love y’all. ???❤

  2. As always, a great collection of photos. Thank you. It seems you never stop working even when you’re relaxing! But how could you not take advantage of this landscape? The bleak, volcanic beauty of Lanzarote is completely unique. A great backdrop for a music video.

  3. What a great location to expand your conscience and “blow your mind “. I can smell the crisp ocean air. The only thing that could come close to rival the exquisite natural beauty of the place is the two of you very colorful girls. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thank you for sharing these “behind-the-scenes” glimpses from Lanzarote. It is special treats like this that make being a member of the MLT Club so worthwhile. Keep them coming!

  5. Awesome photos! Thanks for sharing these. All that volcanic activity on the island, probably not very long ago in geologic time, certainly gives Lanzarote an amazingly unique and prehistoric kind of landscape I’m sure you can’t find anywhere else on the planet. If you factored away the little vegetation, and dimmed the lighting way down the scenery could pass as the “dark side of the moon”. The only thing truly more magnificent in these pictures than the landscape are both your wonderful smiles that eclipse everything else here! Really enjoyed these behind the scenes photos of Once Upon a Time.

  7. Breathtaking! What a beautiful place!. Very easy to see why you stayed there, and why you picked the location for Once Upon A Time. Everyone looked like they had so much fun too.
Kudos to Michaela for getting all the Costumes in the bag and underweight. Every one that took a picture that was shared. The scenery is exquisite, and heart stopping at the same time. Thanks Everyone.
Question…. Did I see Rudi’s phone (with the controls) in one of the photos directing the Drone?

    1. Rick. As Maxwell Smart would say, that is the ‘good ole shoe phone in the drone controller trick”. I love that little green helicopter pad to land the Mavic safely. 🙂
