Hi Tómas, your “Les Paul” looks cool with his Duesenberg. The tremolo is much more discreet and it respects better the aspect of the “Les Paul” which in 99% of the cases is always naked, without any tremolo. But what do I see behind your Les Paul??, a G6122-62 and a Tele GH edition? Would you be a George Harrison fan too?

To be more in the subject of the post, here is how I experience my MLT joy today.

with that little baby that’s just arrived, I can work on the covering of “wainting for the waiter”. Plenty of work… but plenty of joy.

Hi Howard, Hi John,
Hello John and Howard,
That’s a nice cover of those Aussie twins of yours. Better for me than the original of Donny Osmond (to mellow I’d even say sugary if that make sens). Cover by the MLTs It would be perfect for next Christmas.
I would quote John as he said “I love the twins original music, but I keep remembering it was the cover songs that led me here. Not just that, but they are so good when Mona and Lisa put their magic to them. I read a few comments on their videos last night, and like me, it seems many people love their covers, because of their respect for the original and yet their special touch that adds a special beauty. My favorite comment was that “So much talent couldn’t be contained in one person so there had to be twins.”
and also when he said ” Just watched “Yesterday” tonight. Excellent and funny film. I couldn’t help but relate. I am so grateful to Mona and Lisa getting me reacquainted with The Beatles again. I literally had kind of forgotten how much I loved their music and they brought it back to my world and made it brighter like in the film. They made it live again and introduced me to a number of songs I either had never heard or had overlooked. A few of The Beatles songs that were not high on my list have become favorites due to the beauty, joy and excitement that the twins put into them. Starman is another example. I was never much of a Bowie fan and probably wouldn’t have listened to his version a second time if I had heard it. Now I love the song – the MLT version.”
I totally agree with John. So let’s wish the MLTs work on their own music but continue to make covers and let us re discover the music that is part of our forgotten cultural heritage.

Ah, Ah, exellent joke David. Are you french? Playing that way with words is typical for french peaople.
Jung said “I have to say I’ve been spoiled. I saw a Beatles show last night on the cruise ship. After MLT Beatles covers, everything else pales in comparison, unless they build a time machine and you can transport back to the 60s to see John, Paul, George, and Ringo play in person.”
Well, as much I admire the MLTs, I must admit that there are a bunch of very good bands out there doing exellent covers of the Beatles. You should go at the Beatle Week once and you will see. Big tal blond guys from Holland who are exellent and even short dark air guys from Argentina who are exellent. When ther are playing you ear only the Beatles and that’s the magic. Of course MLTs have a little something more. As in the song of France Gall (https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2umohm)
She, she has it
I dont know what this is
That others do not have
That brings us in a funny state
She, she has it
She, this strange voice
She, this strange joy
This gift from heaven that makes it beautiful
She, she has it, She, she has it
She, she has it
She, she has it
She has that little extra soul
That indefinable charm

Happy birthday Richard.
The Beatles, young at the time, spoke of 64 as if one were old at that age. It may have been true at the time but it is no longer true. Life begins at 64, it’s time for retirement. Plainty of time to listen to the Beatles again, MLT perhaps, chat on the forum and play and sing. At 64 , you still have about 10 years before even initiating becoming old. Enjoy!

Yes indeed, when I saw that they were playing at Epstein Theater in Liverpool, I jumped on the first plane and that evening I was in the front row to admire our young idols. Naturally, having only the Channel to cross (1h 30 flight time) it’s much easier for me than for you. I’ve been dreaming of California and New Zealand for years and have not been there yet. To see the MLT in flesh and bone, it was the last call because apparently the MLT do not want to do concerts anymore. At least for a while and I am very sad about that.

Nice question!
Fortunately Lisa was there to draw a beautiful little swan. Imagine what it could have done without her …

Hi Thomas, with the long list of great artists that use the Dusenberg (which unfortunately does not include the most beloved of all, if you see who I’m talking about)
https://duesenberg.de/en/guitars/starplayer-tv
personnaly I woul have gone for this:

-
Jung Roe said “There is something special about being in the presence of a legend”
and that’s true.

Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures.
-
Tomás said “Has anyone had that experience?”
Yes I did.

Help yourself, your welkome.

Hello Lisa and Roger,
Off course you can forward it. It’s all yours but there are mistakes in it that I have corrected on the original document. I think that now with the recent informations you gave me I’ve got almost all listed. Yet I’m missing only one information and it’s the exact type of Shaded Martin guitar that Mona used during Radio apearence playing “Wake up little Susie”.
It’s a Martin Shaded but the back is in 3 pieces wich shouldn’t be the case with a GPCPA4 Shaded, so it’s a mystery?
I just send you with https://www.grosfichiers.com/bm6vQuaprBX
the big file with the latest corrections.
With my best regards

Here is the surprise of the Weekend at Liverpool. John Lennon reborn, better than in the film “Yesterday”. I am rather a Macca Fan than a Lennon’s one but this one was really bluffing and give us a really good time.

Hi Tomás,
Tank you for that question and for Mona’s answer.
I found one EM425C/12 on Ebay a short while ago but the seller refused to send it abroad…? I was desapointed.
Now that I know that’s it has “a chunky neck” wich do not hold his shape” etc.. It softens my regrets.
Do you intent to buy you one?
Personally, I decided for the Breedlove Atlas Studio 12. So beautiful. to be seen on “Morning has broken” cover.

I’m sorry Tomás, I’m a french speaking guy and I do not understand what you mean by “My problem seems to be that I don’t let go of them!” I understand the words but not the meaning of your sentence.
Actually I didn’t mean really to raise a question, the answer is so obvious.. I just wanted to point out the wonders the MLTs do with such basic instruments. Just to inspire some of us. I could paraphrase a famous Prime Minister saying “Never was so much owed by so many to so few doing so much with so little.”
