    Hello Lisa,

Becoming sick of you seems very unlikely. Though 15 times a week, Gee !  it’s really a lot. Should have been a  kind of an experience. I understand your concern about focusing on your own music. As you said « there is a time to stay behind and there’s a time to walk ahead ». I support you and encourage you totally in this way.

I used your recommendations carefully and already had contact with Jackie Spencer, unfortunatly she is on a week off till the 22nd. It’s a pity but I’ll check the website you’ve  indicated and make my way through the various activity they propose. I can not wait to be there.

If I do like England and really enjoyed Liverpool, Chambery is not bad either. Here is a picture taken during my daily walk.

Thank you again for time and your kind answer and take care of yourself, the four of you.

Hello Jacky, Thank you for your comment. Actually, I only did a little tuning of an existing guitar but I’m pretty happy with the result very inspiring for me.

About posting a photo; Indeed, Michaela took some pictures of us but the only interesting and attractive part for you “participants” (MLT fans) on these photos are the twin sisters. In addition, I’m not sure it’s a good idea to post photos of Mona and Lisa without their permission on their site. Finally, I’m rather shy and I’m not used to showing pictures of me. However, if a dedicated space would be created, I might change my mind.

All I can say about this meeting is that all four members of the Wagner family are really very kind people and that it was too short because they are very solicited. It will remain for me a wonderful memory.

    And here’s the result: # 2 of 2 …
If with that I can not play properly, I’ll never succeed!
Thanks again for all the information and for your kindness.

She could have chosen to simply copy George Harrison’s guitar wich is equipped with a Bigsby® B3C tailpiece with an offset strap button on the bottom end.

You’re welkome, here is what you need if you chose the easy (whise) way : Gretsch/Bigsby Chrome Standard 8″ Guitar Tremolo/Vibrato Arm/Handle 006-1702-000  just search on ebay.com it’s for sale at 48,5 USD.

When you change your strings,  pull the circlip ( you’ll need a circlip plier for that) retaining the axe of the bigsby then take the axe out and change the lever..

    Hello Roger,

You say” I just purchased a Cliff Gallup Gretsch jet duo which is basically the same as the DSV model….with that fixed Bigsby. “. Basically yes but I do not know if the internal structure of the DSV is the same as that of Cliff Gallup. That of George Harrison (the real one) is different and the Dusenberg would not fit perfectly on it. It is necessary, indeed, to drill three holes of which two on the soundboard (the front face) which will remain visible. In addition, the screws must hold well because they work in traction when using the tremolo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN5ahJ95gt4

On a new guitar you have to think twice about it. Here is the copy of the inquiry I made at Dusenberg. It’s in German but googletranslate is quite effective.

    « Hallo,

    Christian »

That said, it is much easier to change only the arm of the tremolo and replace it with a movable arm (see photo). In this way the guitar remains unaltered (and its value too …).

But if you really like Dusenberg, go ahead. It’s up to you, try the experience, it should work.

    Regards
