My Beatlemania memory involves me and my sister in 1964 (I was 13 she was 12) standing in front of our fireplace mirror and pretending we were the Beatles. I was Paul because I could play lefthanded air bass, and my sister was John. we had all the moves! I had at one time all the Beatles albums from Meet the Beatles to Let it Be and Abby Road. Alas they’ve all disappeared over the many years.

Thanks for the shout out Jax! Yah it’s gonna be a little subdued but we are getting together with friends for a pool party today. Yesterday was my birthday (1951 do the math). My dad always said I was almost a firecracker! Alas I was just a dud! Thanks to our British friends for letting us colonists go!

More on the vintage phone talk. I remember when if you got a long distance phone call (anyone remember them?) late at night it meant someone in the family died! Also if you were making a long distance call you would wait till after 7pm (because the rates were lower then) and write down what you wanted to say so you wouldn’t go over 3 minutes! Ah the good old days(?)
