If my memory serves me (always a tricky assumption) it was Paul who was singing on the broadcast. John might have joined in. At least that’s how I remember it. Of course the first thing to go when you get old is……

I agree you’re as young as you feel. Unfortunately I feel like I’m about 90 right now! Maybe when this stuff all ends I’ll feel like a 50ish year old kid again!

I also remember way back in 67 or 68 there was a live show from all around the world to show off the new tv satellites and the one from England was the Beatles recording the last part of All You Need is Love with dozens of their friends (including Mick Jagger!) It was epic!

Don’t forget Georges Concert for Bangladesh. Great lineup George, Ringo, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, and so many others. Love the live version of Wah Wah!

Thank you for your thoughtful and kind reply. Being an American it never occurred to me that you wouldn’t be a fan of an admittedly niche folk/country artist. I just assumed that because I love all the musical influences you do that you would of course know everything I love! I really admire how you ladies take the time to read and reply to all of your fans! I know how busy you are making your art! Love to you and your family!

I love the lyrics in Still a Friend of Mine that say We’re run by maniacs by maniac means. It’s in my personal hall of lyrics fame. The whole song is just wonderful. (although it may just be pearls before swine!) I often wonder if it was about someone in particular that they knew. Also Wide Wide Land always bring a tear to my eye. (when you see her smile You’ll know her as a friend)

Thanks Jung. Can you tell me what’s the first thing to go?

I used to know it but the first thing to go when you get old is the memory. I forget what the second thing is. I knew the song was written by Steven Stills and had just seen the video for Southern Cross which is what triggered my post. The first thing to go when you get old is the memory.

Somehow my little post about if Brexit will affect MLT has morphed into a discussion about the differences between the King James bible vs. the NIV! #Whaaa? #Ooops!
