Agree! I have the CDs in my cat and it’s almost the only thing I listen to! (sometimes I throw in the Duo Sessions just for a change of pace) I will be right behind you jumping up and down if I ever get to see them live!

After that blast I think Lisa is still saying “WHAT’?

Then let me add Bird Dog by the Everly brothers.

How about “Well I’ll be Doggone” by Marvin Gaye?

Jacki yes he was a Wilbury along with Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynn(of ELO), and Roy Orbison. Sadly the only ones left are Dylan and Jeff.

Member22/01/2021 at 15:27 in reply to: A list of the most influential rock artists of all timeThere was a lot of cross-pollination going on at the beginning. For example the Beatles influenced the Beach Boys and were in turn influenced by them. I agree with Joseph that the blues influenced a lot of the rock and roll titans. I think you can add so called hillbilly music (see Elvis). I don’t think you can say who was most influential, we are all influenced by everything we see and hear.

I think “All Things Must Pass” showed Phil Spector at the top of his game! Tremendous!

Member18/01/2021 at 15:30 in reply to: Monterrey Pop Festival – The beginning and end.Monterrey Pop was the height of the 60s love era. My favorite moment was when Janis Joplin performed “Ball and Chain” and Momma Cass Eliot sat there with her mouth open in awe of what she was seeing and hearing! (as was I).

I got mine about a week ago. It’s hanging next to my computer that I use to visit the club. I love how they wrote on it and signed it! I wonder when they have time to do anything else when they have so many things to sign for us!

Rubber Soul was the first baby steps, the came Revolver which showed their real personas, but it was Sgt. Peppers that made them the best. IMHO.
