I tried posting some videos of Dylan songs relating to time. It didn’t work.

thanks Joe for posting those Blackberry Smoke videos. I really like One Horse Town. Great Springsteen like lyrics
-
thanks Joe for posting Ain’t Much Left Of Me. Really good lyrics and performance. The next time I’m having a bad day I think I’ll listen to that again.
I live in a small city called Magog in Quebec Canada. Very close to Vermont. Same time zone as yours.

Thanks Joe for posting those two Blackberry Smoke songs. Love that Georgia southern sound.
Yes, the internet in general has decimated the livelihood of musicians as well as the livelihood of so many in every other industry. Youtube, itself is very problematic as a very powerful player which controls access to what we can see & hear. The promise of the internet as being a fair, democratic, open forum for every one never came true. Still, I just meant to suggest that never has there been a time when you could get so much access to so much great music from all over the world.

Hello Patrick,
Welcome to the club! I think you have come to the right place. I have never heard any one cover the Beatles as consistently well as the Mona Lisa Twins. enjoy all the great music here!

Welcome to the club Joe. thanks for your intro. Regarding the British Invasion, I have always found it amazing that it was young people from so far away that took a completely American sound, made it their own and inspired countless Americans & others to pickup a guitar and form their own bands. I love a lot of different kinds of music but those British bands you mentioned still sound to me as explosive & fresh as they must have sounded when they first appeared. It sounds like you have seen a lot of incredible concerts. Although, most off what is considered popular today I can’t listen to, there is an a lot of wonderful music being made today. Youtube and the internet in general made it possible for any to show their talents to the world. But I think the level of quality & professionalism of the Mona Lisa Twins is still very rare. Discovering their music has been an addictive and life affirming experience.

Welcome to the club, Lynn.
I don’t play any instrument yet either, but listening to music is an important part of my life. It has been a wonderful experience discovering the addictive music of the Mona Lisa Twins. They really are extraordinarily talented and versatile musicians. Enjoy browsing all the great material here at the club.

Thanks for your reply Jung. I know what you mean about walking in the “misty rainy woods.” I loved the tranquility of walking in the woods in the early morning after a rain. Those musty smells , the fresh air. You hear every twig breaking, every bird song so loudly. All your senses are heightened.

Thanks Jung for posting the video of the Beatles Rain I never saw that before. Its a wonderful video, great to see them smiling and grinning so much. I have always thought it was an underrated song ( another is And Your Bird Can Sing) & I remember being shocked when I read Lennon say in an interview that it was just a throw away song. Love the message; the weather is often just a state of mind. When I lived in the wet coast I always found it important to remember that.
I would like to add the following to essential MLT songs:
If I Fell, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, She’s Leaving Home, Pretty Flamingo, Waiting For The Waiter & Both Sides Now. Of course there are many others but I find myself listening to those songs a lot lately.

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the club. I don’t play any musical instruments either but as long as I’m at home I have music playing in the background all the time. I couldn’t imagine life without it. No matter how crazy the world becomes you can always tun to music to help make sense of it all, for escape or to improve your day. MonaLisa Twins was a recent discovery for me as well & the more I listen to them, the deeper I’m falling under their spell. Their music is addictive. This club is as well. There is a lot of wonderful material here to discover. Enjoy!
