I had 2 brothers (one who passed this past December) and my mom took so many pictures of us growing up and it is so fun looking at them once every so often. We were each roughly 4 years apart and she would dress us all in the same outfits (that was the 50’s). Two of my favorite videos of theirs I love to watch are “All I want for Christmas” and “Two of Us”. They had wonderful smiles then as they do now. Always wonder which one it is that speeds up the rocking chair. I wonder if the competative nature of twins is similiar to that of other siblings?

Last time was the same tour in 2019 at a place called The Amp in Bethesda, Md. His voice was damaged years ago but he was terrific with the voice he still had, told a lot of stories and played some mighty fine harp!! His video with the MLT’s was one of the videos that got me hooked on the Twins.

That was so touching it brought tears to my eyes. Friendship is what it’s all about. At this point in my life my friends and family are the most precious assets I have. I am glad he has made 6 years and do hope without pain (or much). Thanks so much for sharing this!!

Happy Birthday ladies!!! You bring so much joy to my life (and I’m sure to the 218,000 followers you have on YouTube). Watched Nowhere Man and Songbird (for the umpteenth time) earlier today and they are both just sooo good. Thx for all you (and your parents) contribute to this crazy mixed up world we live in!

Procol Harum featured the Hammond in their music most of the time. Obviously Whiter Shade of Pale is best know. This particular instrumental has soaring B3 sounds as well as very powerful guitar work. Quite dramatic.

First link is Barbara Dennerlein and Rhonda Scott beating the heck out of the keys. I love Barbara’s playing and have about 6-8 CDs and digital albums of her work.

Second link is of her talking about the B3 (in German I believe) and playing

Quality is somewhat subjective but I agree that the Disco era was tough to go through and I really don’t find modern pop very good. For quite a few people music is just for dance, to set a mood or backgound. Those of us blessed with the pure love of music and how it can uplift us usually have strong opinions it. I know I do. Historically I believe the 60’s and early 70’s will be looked at as profond periods of originality in all the arts!

Hi all. Thx Jung for the topic. I feel the same way as you all do but just remember each generation pretty much feels the same. My son and his wife don’t like 60’s-90’s music much at all. My daughter in law really dislikes the Beatles (can’t understand how this is possible but there isn’t anything to be gained by discussing it with her) She loves Taylor Swift. So to be fair the equivalent if I go generationally one would have to ask me how I like music from the 20’s , 30’s and the 40’s. And my initial response if not that much. I feel like the music of the 60’s and early seventies is fantastic…the best but then again that is when I was a teenager and in my early 20’s which I suspect is the time most people form their basic musical taste. My son really likes the music mostly played as background in video games (He practiced and played the piano from age 5 until he graduated!)

I had all but forgotten this masterpiece!! Thx Jung.

Love Joey and Barbara. Never saw either live. Barbara has done a few CDs on pipe organs which I really enjoy.

Gary was a phenomenal musician and band leader. That piece was recorded in Union Chapel. Go figure, a B3 in a church….not surprising as that’s where most were bought for (churches) until Jazz and Rock discovered it. Loved the combination of piano and B3 in Procol Harum!!!

I second that!!
