Thanks for sharing these journal entries, Jung. “Ink is nice” That made me laugh. My first was Wish You Were Here. I usually hesitate clicking on Pink Floyd covers. There are a lot of mediocre ones. So when this video popped up as a suggested “You might enjoy” I hesitated for a minute. I have a CD somewhere that is a collection of female artists covering Pink Floyd songs, and that was kinda kool, so clickety-click. Holy crap, after the intro I had to start it again. Hey wait, what? Let me hear that again. I am trying to recall my thought process (perhaps a little embellished). Hmm, capo? Well they do have high voices. Wait a sec, that blonde can sing a little deeper. Holy crap, play that again. This is fantastic! That is really what I think. What’s this Once Upon A Time? An original? I have never heard this song. Click, Holy Crap, this is good. This video must have cost a fortune to produce. This is something special. Where can I see more? As I started exploring their website I noticed a lot of kool members only stuff. Thirteen dollars a month? Ok, that’s not a lot. That’s when I found She’s Leaving. Again, Holy Crap! As tears welled up, I realized I had found something very special.

I just found an email I sent four years ago, replying to their email with three free songs. I hadn’t joined the club yet, but felt the need to to go on and on about how great MLT is. I was so impressed by this cover of one of my favorite songs, I wanted to thank them for sharing it. I figured no one would probably read my reply, as I was replying to an automated email, and they are probably too busy to read all of their fan mail. I was dumbfounded when Lisa replied two days later. Wait, I think I didn’t see her reply right away, because it landed in my junk folder. Junk? imagine that. Why why says the junk in the folder. She commented on a couple of things I had mentioned so I knew she had read it. It wasn’t a canned reply, she was actually corresponding with me. How do they have that much time for their fans?

So I joined the club because I wanted to see it all. Who what where when Why? It’s all here, and if you can’t find it, just ask. I began exploring the forum. At that time I was frequenting a Roger Waters fan club where we met some great people. There was a group of about ten of us who would meet up for shows and stay at the same hotel. We had some great times. So let’s see what this forum has.

The MLT family is very unique. Everyone is so friendly and polite here. It’s a direct reflection of the Wagners. Their love of family and music is has attracted a lot of nice people with similar values. We love being a part of this family and how it’s become part of our everyday life. Just last night Marlo was showing me something she found that “the girls” might like. It was the same way last year. She Christmas shops all year round. Marlo deserves credit for the adult coloring book and the yoga chime. I mean the coloring book for adults. I had an embarrassing phone call telling our son about Lisa and Mona’s gifts.

I am sure that the next time MLT has a live show, there will be a lot of meet-ups. Don’t we all have a version of what we will do and say. Jung promises to not jump and scream like a girl at a Beatles show. I for one don’t think he will be able to restrain himself. Mine includes a pre show chant. Years ago I saw Warren Zevon a couple of times. The audience started a slow chant, “War-ren,War-ren?” It grew in intensity as we awaited his entrance. Those were some kool shows. Now everyone listen up. A few minutes before curtain call, we all start chanting,”Leeee-sssa,,,,Mon-na…” growing a little louder each time. As they enter the stage and the lights go down, all the deep voices can shout, “MLT-MLT-MLT!…..” make sure to bring tissues, we old guys tear up pretty easily. I am sure there will be tears of pride and joy.

    MLT FANS ARE THE BEST!

Thanks for the outline, Phil. I agree the content value here is remarkable. They have documented so much of their lives here, there’s always something new to see or hear. I envy the new comers here that have so much to see and hear with endless entertainment.

    Well Friday is almost here!

Hi Graham, check out the Out & About section. Lisa and Mona went skydiving on their eighteenth birthday and made a kool video documenting it. There is so much to see and hear. Enjoy!

Very kool, Dude. Looks like Moose knows what he is doing. I think the main reason I haven’t got one is the anxiety involved in choosing the artwork. For me it would be too much. Marlo agrees. She knows I would drive her crazy changing my mind every other day. This would double each day as the appointment grew nearer.

And then there is the fear of regret. What if I don’t like it? Well, I suppose I could add to it to change its appearance. Eventually it would look like a curtain. My new alias would be the man behind the curtain.

Then again, shaving my head was a big deal thirteen years ago and I have not grown it back since.

Anyway, yours looks kool. It’s not what I thought it would be. Marlo said it definitely has a kool Marshall Arts vibe. Nice!

Maybe I’ll think about one next year. Thanks for sharing.

Here is what I was watching. The audience is so quiet I can hear a quiet cough at 11:50.

I wonder if this would sound good parked down by the lake.

Thanks, Jung. I hear what you mean about finding light in sorrow. You know I love watching her play, as well as listening. One of my favorite parts about live performances is watching the musician’s face and body language. They often give away where the music is going right before a change in tempo and feeling. Lisa and Mona do this, especially Lisa during her solos. I have Yuja going in a mini player while I type. She is almost unbelievable. It seems like she has a built in metronome. Hey, there’s an idea. Implant a chip which triggers a metronome effect in the ear, hmm. Uh oh, here comes the march. Whoa is me. Seriously though, how does she keep the timing so perfect? Oh that’s right, four to six hours of practice before a performance. She is a true musician/athlete. Aah, Presto, I love it.

Nice one Jung. I think you showed this to me before. As I was listening this time I kept imagining Bugs Bunny as the conductor

    Hi Daryl,

I don’t have any tattoos, but Marlo does. This one is on her calf. We were in FL visiting our son years ago and Marlo thought that would be a good time to get a new tattoo. He pointed out a shop where a lot of people from his base got theirs. Marlo went in and described what she was looking for. The shop owner said to give him an hour and he would make a few sketches. She was very happy with the finished piece.

We are looking forward to see how yours looks. Looks pretty kool so far.

I wanted to contribute Time by Pink Floyd, but that whole album is roller coaster of emotions.

Then I remembered this one. I hope you like it. I think it is very kool. Wait for 3:20

Valentine’s Day is over, so this may be questionable , but can I add one more? How did we miss this? So many questions…

    Kool Tim

I have never heard the original of Oh Girl. I know it from the MTV days. Paul Young had a kool album with an even kooler bass player, Pino Palladino. Here is Paul Young on the Arsenio Hall show, remember that? I do remember when I first heard this, go check out the official video – cheesy, I recall it sounded familiar. My teenage mind knew it was a cover of an old song I had heard somewhere. It was probably in the car with Dad listening to AM radio.
