I was looking for a piece of classical music that I find very moving, only to realize that most classical music gets its hooks into me. Then I thought of this one. It’s hard to be objective with this one, as I can’t help hearing Daltrey’s voice in my mind. But sans vocals, it is still very moving. I feel loneliness and despair and then excitement and relief.

David, this was my first thought after reading your post, but I think you getting a little deeper. Anyway, why does this one make me smile so much, besides Lisa’s contagious smile. The music makes me smile. I was also thinking of The Wrong Child by REM, but the lyrics are the driving factor of emotional control. Hmm…I am still posting this one, because it’s so kool.

Dave, stop. Stop, will you? Stop, Dave. Will you stop Dave? Stop, Dave.

[sings while slowing down] Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I’m half crazy all for the love of you. It won’t be a stylish marriage, I can’t afford a carriage. But you’ll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.

Ours arrived a couple of days ago.

These badges are nice, although I am more inclined to tuck it away somewhere out of harm’s way, rather than wear it. I will wear it proudly at the next live MLT event.

MLT fans are the best. And now we have complete MLT withdrawal. If anyone is looking for me, I’ll be parked down by the lake.

It was so nice seeing Michaela & Rudi again. Thank you for sharing your time with all of us. Politician blew us away tonight. Bravo! All of that practice paid off. Every performance was flawless as well as coughless. We really like Hazy Shade of Winter. It’s easy to see your love for these songs in your performances.

    Merry Christmas,

    Marlo & JP

You feed the flowers in our hearts 🧡🧡

Grown up toys make great Christmas gifts. Good for you Daryl. Sounds like this was a no-brainer.

It is funny how life works that way.

Looking forward to a pic of this beauty.

What’s that? Pictures of my cats? Right now, our male cat, Tex, is trying to get my attention and interfere with my typing. He ways twenty pounds, so he’s pretty good at holding my arm down. Purr, purr, plop.

We also have a female tortoise cat. She is half as big, but can knock down Tex when she wants to. They are the same age, about nine or ten now. We rescued them about nine years ago. Our friends own some rental properties. Tenants of their’s abandoned their apartment one night and left the cats there. We had recently lost a pair of cats to FIP, so they thought we might be interested. It worked out great for everyone. They are very affectionate and well mannered. Tex’s favorite annoying habit is a game we call this doesn’t belong up here. He loves to knock things off any elevated surface. Sometimes after he knocks something off of my desk, he gives a look The tortie, Punky, can be stand-offish or she demands attention at crazy times. Pet me Meow!

Tex is the grey tabbie, and Punky, or Pumkin has patches.

  • Mona – Everybody’s Talking

    Lisa – Vincent

I agree, the Vincent Duo Session is one of the best performances ever. And there are also those moments in other songs when Lisa begins and Mona comes in with her perfect harmonies a few lines into the song. Vincent, Alone, and Both Sides now are fine examples of this. They give me the chills. Hang on, just a second. This is a trap, I can’t pick a favorite, I love them both equally.

You almost had me. I was going to pick _ _ _ _

  • Ladies and gentleman, I found the official video parked down by the lake (Rated PG for smoking, drinking and poor grammar)

We are right there with you. The livestream was so kool. We listened live on our way back from visiting our son. It’s about a four hour ride. Our schedule meant we would be in the car at 4:00 The rest area timed out perfect at 3:55, so I pulled over to be sure we were logged on. I told Marlo I timed the trip that way, as she gets nervous when I fiddle with my phone in the car. She did not believe that malarkey. We both knew it was that MLT vibe/coincidence. Listening to everything going on without watching was kool. We were anticipating listening in the car without watching. Man, these two ladies just keep raising the bar. It was like listening to a call-in radio show where Lisa and Mona are the hosts and the guest. WMLT Groovy Radio🎶

It was very entertaining hearing everyone’s names as Lisa and Mona read your questions. It felt like everyone was there. Our hosts are very entertaining. They really have knack for for making everyone feel welcome with their down to earth charm, and they are hilarious. It seems like great musicians have a great sense of humor. It’s very heartwarming how they are so attentive to our questions and comments and concerned about missing one.

They sounded spectacular. We really like the acoustic Politician. Hazy Shade is awesome too. They were all so brilliant. This club is the koolest.

  • I will never understand why that aching song got so popular.

    Merry Christmas

  • Hi Jung, I remember that song. Wasn’t it used in a bunch of commercials and stuff? The Blues Brothers make every song funny.

This show was a little before my time but I think I remember seeing it in syndication at my cousin’s house. They lived over the mountain on the other side of the river. I bet you thought I was going to say down by the lake.
