Jung, I love how “Imagine” follows “Both Sides Now” on the CD. It’s a perfect placement. I hope people are still enjoying “Imagine” hundreds of years from now. I feel it is one of the most inspirational songs of our lifetime.

Two guitars , two voices, perfect. They truly captured the emotion of this song. To credit the songwriter and the performance – Musical genius.

I was listening to ORANGE on my way home tonight. It was on shuffle, which can create some interesting playlists. Close To You was last. I love this timeless classic. A lot of us have commented about memories this song brings up while reflecting on the past. These old souls are writing some beautiful songs.

I love silly love songs. I love the bass on this version. I have a vinyl LP with the Broad Street version and NonMore Lonely Nights, one of my favorites.

If you like NoMore Lonely Nights, Allison Krause did a great cover of it.

Jacki, I think we are outnumbered? This is great, David. Thanks for keeping score.
I wonder which one I should wish, I mean root for? ????

“Without your space helmet, Dave? You’re going to find that rather difficult.” I can never resist the HAL quotes when there is a Dave in the house.

Please continue with your analysis. I am looking forward to watching how “You Really Got Me” does.

Jacki, I may be in my fifties, but I listen like a kid. I am not sure if utube classifies viewers by age.
These numbers get crazy when you start breaking them down. When I actually try to picture a MILLION views of one video, it’s breathtaking. Clickity-click-click a million times. Like that picture Jung posted, it seems endless. Then they get FIVE million views, incredible! That is a big audience.

Did I just age myself by referencing a mouse?

Hi Melchior. You Can’t Do That is awesome. Welcome. There is a lot to see here. I always like to suggest the skydiving video in the out and about section. These two are fearless. The soundtrack for it is really kool, too.

This comment under You Can’t Do That sums up MLT’s feelings for their fans.
“We can still recall the overwhelming feeling of support and appreciation we felt at the end of that gig. Thank you to those who made that and all the other nights there so much fun.”

    Have fun exploring

Thanks for digging up Mona’s take on things. This is a great thread. Can I add an obvious example of a central theme running through an album? DSOTM presents the conflicts of life from first breath to the last. Work, greed, money, death, and insanity are all included. I love albums that beg to be listened to in their entirety.

It’s kool how artists will follow similar patterns of the classics without consciously thinking about it.

I think Bill brought up a good point. MLT songs are very upbeat and high energy, which can prompt the listener to click play one more time. Sometimes a quick trip to the store for milk and bread gets extended, because Once Upon A Time started just as I was about to turn onto my street.

I like the flow of this album.
The Future sets the listener up to listen to the entire album.
Once Upon A Time is a timeless masterpiece.
This album fits my daily commute perfectly.
    Priceless

Nerd alert, it’s starting to make sense and getting more interesting. These numbers are impressive.
I imagine it might be a little overwhelming for Lisa and Mona. Remember how humble they were receiving their utube award? Thanks to all for tracking these stats and letting us count on you to make sense of it all, because if left to our imagination…

The thought of sixteen people anywhere in the world smiling for the same reason at precisely the same time is kinda groovy ????

Thanks Jung. I was half following/not following you guys, too. ???? I understood the results, but I got lost on the way there.

I picked up on that in the podcast, also, Jung. I was thinking the same thing, more songs like Club 27? Excellent!
Seeing Lisa and Mona on stage for numbers like For What It’s Worth shows that there are a couple of rockers waiting to let go. I am really, really, really looking forward to the new album.

Did you notice during Stuck In the middle, Mona sings with a slight American accent? or maybe it’s just me?

I’ve got Friday on my mind!

Thanks Lynn, this is great! I was a little surprised by a couple of the results, especially the Christmas songs. I expected them to be more balanced. I am not surprised by Wish You Were Here’s performance.
    It’s perfect.

I just watched Both Sides Now 100,524. One million is just around the corner. These Duo Sessions are amazing. As soon as they begin it’s stop, watch, listen, repeat. It’s still as amazing as it was the first time I heard and saw it.

Thanks for compiling all of these stats.
Thanks to all of the statisticians in the house!
    These numbers are impressive.

You are right, Jung. One million views in six months is huge. It’s difficult to picture a million in my mind. Does that mean it is in a perpetual stream with someone somewhere watching it at any time?

Bill, I think we all have this dream of seeing a live MLT show with the majority of the audience being comprised of club members. The band would have to avoid eye contact with us, as our tears of joy would be too much of a distraction, eh?

Not even for a day ????

This is a great shot of the moon man

“There is no dark side in the moon, really. Matter of fact, it’s all dark. The only thing that makes it look light is the sun.”

  • Thanks Jung, this is now my new favorite Duo Session. This is a perfect sample of how Lisa and Mona compliment each other so well. I love both guitars on this. Mona’s perfect rhythm sets the stage for Lisa’s riffs while they create that MonaLisa harmony we all love. Another timeless masterpiece.

I can see a time where if anyone released an album with a fruity name,
the question will be,”Is it as good as ?????”
