So sorry for your loss, Daryl. Your words are very inspirational. Such a beautiful closing to a sad story. We have been through some loss here these past couple of years. These times remind me of how quick time is going by. Sounds like you had a wonderful audience that night. God bless you, JP

Here is another take on “Under Pressure”. This girl has some great covers. I like this one. She did a kool one for “Space Oddity”, too.

Nice! Paul is a true master of his craft. That video fits the song so well. Thanks for sharing it. It is funny how, well I know I do, we hear a song and think of how Lisa and Mona would do it. A true symptom of MLT on the mind.

Hey Jacki, get out of my head. I was going to say the same thing. There is a little difference in functionality between my iPhone, iPad, and PC. Good call.

  • We are amazed at how that smoke traveled all the way over here. Yesterday it was very noticeable and we were advised to stay inside. We had some rain showers today which helped, although, it was already clearing this morning. Quite a few outdoor events have been postponed. Mother Nature likes to remind us just how powerful she is once in a while. Glad to hear our friends from the north are OK. Stay safe!

Thanks for the info on Fish. Those record labels are so stingy sometimes. Does Marillion still play anything off Misplaced Childhood in concert? I seem to remember checking out Fish’s website a couple of years ago. I think he had played some smaller venues and had some videos of his performances. We are hoping to catch some live music this summer.

    Stay groovy,

Thanks for sharing this, Jung. Those two had such an endearing relationship. I like how Paul described their childhood living out of each other’s pockets. The reporter actually asked Paul why? He didn’t want to stay home that night?

It’s something how song writers that grow up together go on to create such masterpieces as When We’re Together, Orange and Why?

I love the ending. “Did he leave his number?” Imagine that?

That’s great, Tim. These old pre-MTV clips are great. So going forward, we have a new chicken and egg argument. Who was the school boy first George or Angus?

    We survived another Monday,

    Hi Sara,

That looks like it was fun. I only know Marillion from their album “Misplaced Childhood”. Love every song on that album. I think Fish has a really kool voice. I have a CD of cover songs by Fish. Here is his cover of Pink Floyd’s “Fearless”.

This is beautiful, Jax. I love the line about the kaleidoscope. You have captured a true MLT groove here.

    Bravo!

    Hi Phil. Welcome.

There are a gazillion rabbit holes here, so dive in. Jung is right about the Duo Sessions. I am sure you will find something you haven’t seen or heard before. They are all very special.

I always like to recommend checking out the Out & About section. Lisa and Mona have had some interesting adventures which they have documented for us with stellar soundtracks. My favorite is the sky diving video.

Be sure and submit some questions in the Q&A section.

    Stay groovy,

    JP

You are all correct. It looks like we all have some similar interpretations. This one hooked me in upon first listen. The volume on my car goes up to eleven automatically when this song begins, just like Club 27 and Once Upon A Time.

MLT has a way of writing very symbolic lyrics and lyrics that can be interpreted one way or another with each individual interpretation being correct.

Each time I read a different interpretation from someone, I tend to agree with them and hear the song in a whole new light. Thanks for that.

This reminds me of the Q&A when someone found the deeper meaning to Waiting for the Waiter and Lisa proclaimed,”Finally someone gets it!” That has to be a song writer’s best reward.

    Hi Chris,

So close, enjoy your trip to Terrytown. We saw Duncan Shiek and Suzanne Vega there a few years back. Nice area.
