There’s some great harmonica sounds in Neil Young’s beautiful gem.

I like some of Neil Young’s songs. Cinnamon Girl is great, I also like Old Man, among others.

I think in music it is good to be dimensional. I think I’ve had a spattering into many genres and appreciate most music I think. Hip Hop/Rap though is not something I can get my head around, nor do I want to.
There is a new movie about Bob Marley coming out in the new year I am looking forward to. I never thought I could like reggae, but Bob changed that. He really used his music to make the world better, in the same vein as John Lennon.

Tim, good point, Mona could do her harmonica too! Would love to hear their interpretation of this one with their harmonies that would add another dimension to the song.

That must have been fun playing poker with him and even greater when you got to beat him to hear his harmonica. Did you notice if he let you win intentionally, just so he could have an excuse to play for you?

Hi Tim
Yeah this would be my most favourite of Neil Young’s songs. Always used to stop and listen intently whenever I heard this song on the radio. Neil does have a very unique voice like Bob Dylan.
Oh yeah! 👍 I think Mona and Lisa could do some incredible magic with this one with their vocals.

Hey Daryl
Wow, some awesome songs you christened that guitar with. Guess Who “American Woman too!!! I wish I could have been there to hear it all! 😀 Let your music passion explode with your new rig! 👍

Your dad played harmonica! That must have been very special, and when you hear a good harmonica riff, does that remind you of your dad?
The train sound effect with the harmonica sounds pretty cool. Yeah, Mona does that sometimes too.

Tim
Great song, and wow that blues harp really howls. Some incredible playing. Thanks for posting this.

That black beauty looks magnificent, and you got it just in time for Christmas too, how special.
It sounds like the Amp is perfectly matched for the guitar and your place, perfection. Have you thought of what song to play on it for the first time, or have you taken it around the block already? Thanks for sharing the photo of it, so happy for you! 👍🙂

Hi Tim
Yes, I like MLTs version of this and Nowhere Man better than the Beatles. Their vocals/harmonies are second to none. I put their harmonies above Beatles, Beach Boys, and Everly Brothers and more….

Hi Tim
I love how Mona and Lisa have the same creative philosophy to never repeat themselves. Between their 3 original albums, each one is very different from each other, exploring new sounds and styles. There is constant innovation and change. Even across all the Christmas Advents, each year it is different trying new a creative ideas mixing it up. This years has been the most fun, engaging and memorable.

Hi Roger
Here Comes the Sun has always stood out for me as well, a really beautiful melody. I’ve heard it covered over the years but the Beatles were the best, until I heard Mona’s voice on it, wow.. And the harmonies. Best bar none.

Hi Tim
Yeah whenever I hear this, it sounds so unique like no other before it. When the Beatles first came out with this song, it must have been so mind blowing to everyone, such an innovative sound.
In that Making of Rubber Soul video, Paul said: “…we always wanted every single record to have a different sound. We never want to get trapped in this ver Mersey Beat”

Hi Bud
Normandy Park Winterfest looks very Christmassy and a lot of fun. I use to explore all around that area, use to go to South Center a lot. You mentioned the Kingdome earlier, there is this Japanese market called Uwajimaya close to old Kingdome my parents always took us to whenever we visited Seattle. That place started as a really small store and kept growing and now I think it is a big Asian Supermarket. Do you know the place? They always had the best Japanese food/snacks, and we’ve been going there for ages.
