Just listened to it for the first time, and It is AWESOME, so beautiful. The melody is wonderful and moving, and vocals enchanting. The Beatles magic is unwavering even after so many decades. LOVE IT.

That is such a wonderful video, kept getting goosebumps. Great use of AI and holograms of John and George weaving in and out of the video with Ringo and Paul. The part where Ringo and Paul sing missing you and then they flash to John and George singing back was perfection. It is amazing how such a simple melody John was playing around with on the piano captured on a cassette, can be rearranged to something so beautiful. It reminds me of Mona and Lisa talking about a simple melody Papa Rudi had and they transformed it into Any Other Day.

Vangelis is very well known, and his music is so uplifting. Great sound track for Chariots of Fire and 1492 Conquest of Paradise. I saw Chariots Of Fire when it was in the theatres way back when, and remember that theme song was playing on all the radio stations. The video of 1492 Conquest of Paradise with the music is captivating, with those big old sailing ships.
Vangelis also reminds me of Zamfir flute music. It’s interesting how they used such beautiful music of Zamfir’s Lonely Shepard in the movie Kill Bill. The irony between the beautiful and graceful music and the action and violence of Kill Bill is quite brilliant.

Wow that is amazing how she can so clearly and accurately articulate the differing character and mood of each composer. The ones I am familiar with I think she is right on. Bach, Mozart, Chopin, and Liszt. It’s like each composer has their own unique musical signature or finger print she can bring out all within the same piece. It would be really fun to find a guitarist who could articulate the differences between Jimi Hendricks, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana, Eddie Van Halen, Billy Gibbons etc…
I came across this video a while back where the musician explains how in music there is often an interaction between two musical voices, like within counterpoint, where two melody lines interplay with each other. She likens that to a conversation between two people, like between a man and a woman in a relationship. It really made me understand deeper what Bach and Beethoven were doing in their piano Sonatas, and even Symphonies between a solo violin and the orchestra. She even draws parallel to what Pink Floyd is doing in Wish You Were Here, and I am sure would apply to modern pop rock songs of the Beatles.
I think it is an amazing interpretation of a story line going on in the music, that perhaps the composer is expressing through the melody. The melodic voice expresses feelings better than words.

Yeah I always enjoyed Miami Vice. Loved the different songs they featured in many episodes like Phil Collins In the Air Tonight. As you mentioned a number of the big crime dramas, one that just pops to mind is Baretta. Did you see this in Germany? Sammy Davis Junior sings on the song, and the lyrics “don’t do the crime, if you can’t do the time” was copied in a later police reality TV show Cops. The funky guitar sounds great. Hi David
Mary Tyler Moore was one of my big favourite. TV shows of the time, and there was the Rhoda spin off too. Some great comedy moments there and characters, like Lou Grant. I recall they spun a show off in his character as well. Goes to show how successful and iconic Mary Tyler Moore is. I never knew there is even a statue of her in Minneapolis, great to know, wouldn’t miss it if I’m ever down that way.

Hi Tim, I recall that show was often called “Babe Watch”. 😁 It certainly glamorized the beaches along LA.

Wow, what an absolutely heartwarming story. It is so beautiful what Paul, George and Ringo embarked on in 1994 with John’s cassette, and then later in 2022 Paul and Ringo taking George’s part and finishing it. Harnessing technology they collaborated across time to create a real Beatles song they all played on. What a moving, beautiful and special song.

That is fascinating David, getting so close to a little asteroid and getting a close up picture. After the encounter with this asteroid, Lucy will swing by the earth again end of next year for a gravitational catapult to encounter the next bigger asteroid. Do post a photo if you find it. Did a quick search on the net, but nothing yet from NASA.
