Hi Joe
That is nice song by Nicky Hopkins. Have not heard of him, but a gem indeed. I like the piano.
Great idea for a post. I can think of many lesser known gems. This one was a big hit in the 70s, but probably unknown outside of Canada, and maybe even British Columbia, by a local band named Chilliwack. This is reminiscent of a Beach Boys song of a similar title. This one I think is a big unknown gem worth a listen

This classical tune always sends a chill, kind of fitting for Halloween. It’s about FATE.

Here is the Addams Family monsters Wednesday dance scene. Even monsters get down with the music.

And I think this one was inspired by the original Wednesday Addams dance scene. A modern day version.

Hi Jurgen
Great Beach Boys find! I’ve never seen/heard this one before. A nice glimpse into the group in the 70s having fun. Well I’ve posted this one on many Halloween posts here before, but it’s become a kind of tradition for me, so here it is. Apparently it was released exactly 59 years ago today (Oct 19). Mike love does a pretty good monster face that Bobby Boris Picket is well known for his rendition of this song.

Hi Frank
Yeah I would love to see a behind the scenes mini documentary of MLT in the studio creating their music. If there were some video clips of Jump Ship or WHY?, that would be awesome. As MLT’s music get more complex like these songs, it would be a treat to see their craft in action, creative juices flowing, discussions going on between, Mona, Lisa and Papa Rudi as they piece their music together.

Hi Jurgen
Yeah I remember Beetlejuice, with his head shrinking thing. Michael Keeton did a pretty good job of the character, and Winona Ryder did the “Wednesday Addams” kind of character great.

A funny Halloween spirit scene. Inspired by true events? That would be pretty torturous to be locked in a coffin alive. Makes for a real Halloween horror experience.

Hi Jacki
It sounds like from yours and Joe’s response Chilliwack was little more known then I gave them credit for. The band is named after a city just outside of Vancouver, known for it’s delicious corn and the band! HAHAHA.

That’s beautiful Dave, really relaxing. I like all the mix of instrumentals in it.

Nice guitar sounds Roger, I like it. I can feel a bit of the Cars influence in it.

Great harmonies David, it harkens me back to the summer again. I recall Grass Harmony was mentioned in the past, great vocals.

Imagine finding this treasure trove of a letter in an antique store. The power of the handwritten message.

Hi Tim
Haven’t heard of Wolfman Jack in a long time, he was a household name back in the 70s I recall. I really enjoy all the Guess Who songs, this one too. Would be great to catch a live show in Canada. Randy Bachman lives in my neck of the woods on one of the many islands around Vancouver. Haven’t ever seen him wandering the streets though.
