There is something special about owning Orange in vinyl
https://youtu.be/jeQ6D8UdOTw
Cool and Psychedelic.
Highly recommended if you haven’t opted for Orange in vinyl yet. -
Thanks Jacki. 🙂 Yeah, I like that purple ink too. The photos don’t do the color justice as the ink in person is very brilliant. It is a special edition Beatles ink called “Beatles Psychedelic Purple” that came out last year to celebrate Sargent Peppers 50th anniversary. Kept it locked up until now to use it. Goes well I think with the new video “Once Upon A Time” too, very psychedelic indeed.

Excuse the white balance. I am an amateur photographer.

Future provides a thematic unity across the album similar to Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band track at the beginning of that album, and repeats a reprise on the end of side 2 just before A Day in The Life. Brian Wilson was enthralled by the unity he saw on Rubber Soul. He said in a recent Tweet that every song on that album felt like it came from the same place. It was inspiration for his Pet Sounds album which impressed John and Paul enough to answer back with Sargent Peppers. All 3 master piece albums have a thematic arch across it. Albums today lack that kind of artistry and are often nothing more that a collection of 10 songs to form an album. Fortunately we have MLT who carry on that tradition of great album making like Orange.

OMG my whole post just vanished to thin air when I did edit! Must be gremlins. Here goes again….
You’re both so musically gifted, when you do decide to mix it up and play different instruments from what you normally play, it’s a big treat for us all, as you push the “impress” envelope even further. Mona on harmonica or flute, and Lisa on the Cello for example, wow!
Mona doing lead guitar riffs throughout with her red Rickenbacker on “If I Needed Someone” was so crisp and precise and just awesome as well as on the other songs mentioned, and Lisa doing the bass on “Africa” was delightful. I don’t normally take notice of the bass, but in Africa, can notice the intricate nuance of the bass guitar voice in the background that was so wonderfully executed. The song ends quietly with the final few soft bass notes from Lisa’s guitar that really stands out.
As for drums Lisa, well I think Mona gave a little hint on a previous thread that you could hold your own on the drums, so I am sure if one day you decide to flex your drumming skills for a song, it will be a huge treat for us all too. 🙂

Yes I will echo everyone’s sentiment and say we are all very, very fortunate to have discovered the MLT, as they have touched many of us deeply and brought much joy and happiness to our lives through their remarkable music, inspiring creativity, and their wonderfully thoughtful kindness. Everything they do and the way they do it is inspiring and incredibly special in this day and age. They are a blessing to us all.

According to MLT, “if life has meaning it’s a meaning that’s too mean to figure out”.
Yeah I like that. Just when you think you have everything figured out, life has a tendency to turn things upside just to show you, you don’t know everything. Kind of keeps us humble.

“Hey Mike.. wow man, that was great!! Girls are killer and so are you !! Best to ya and please tell the girls I think they were great!” – Steve Lukather (Toto) regarding Mike Masse and Mona and Lisa interpretation of his “Africa”
Now we can add Steve Lukather to the growing list of original artists totally impressed with the MLT style and ability to transform a song into something truly special, just through their singing and musicianship in this case.
Mona and Lisa are truly remarkable. They did not merely accompany Mike Masse as backup vocals and musicians in the rendition of this song, but earned high praise as artists themselves from Steve for holding their own and delivering a stellar performance.
