MLT joy for today:
There is nothing like coming home to find a brand new just arrived MLT BAM 3 mug waiting for you, to enjoy your evening cuppa tea in. Such a gorgeous mug. 🙂

A little belated birthday gift to myself.

Me too Jacki, especially enjoying the photo archives. Getting to see a glimpse into Mona and Lisa’s lives and their experiences, and what kind of interesting people they are behind the scenes all enhance the musical experience for me. Imagine back in the day being able to see pics taken by the Beatles or Beach Boys themselves instead of news photographers. It’s just awesome how Mona and Lisa share so much of themselves for their fans. Really feel like being part of their musical journey.

This Easter long weekend went out of town to visit some friends. There is nothing like driving in the country with some beautiful MLT Orange music to fill some moments with joy. Some “Close To You”, “In It For Love”, and “Count on Me” were just perfection!
Driving through the Nicola Valley BC (Cowboy country) Canada.

Those indeed are some groovy guitars Jacki. I would call it the Lucy transformation.

I agree, playing vinyl is very much ceremonial making the music listening experience a real pleasure. I bought a simple record player just after I got my copy of Orange in vinyl, and now I prefer to listen to Orange on the record player whenever I can when I’m home. My usual pleasure to start off the evening sometimes is to listen to one of my few vinyls I have: Orange, Rubber Soul, Sargent Peppers, To Sir With Love etc…

An interesting parallel about the transformation of Lucy from gold top to redhead and the scene you describe of John Sebastian with Mona and Lisa. Now if George Harrison was still alive and he could see all the wonderful things MLT are doing, I wonder if he wouldn’t rename the Lucy to Mona-Lisa. That would be just perfection!

On the 7AM train to work, and it was Orange all the way. Really got into “Once Upon A Time” when it came on.
Now on the way back home on the 5:30PM train, it was When We’re Together, and “Dreams” that set just the right somewhat melancholic mood for the end of the day ride back this afternoon.
My MLT joy for today.

Jim, yep there is all the electricity you need there. 🙂 That blue Strat looks very nice too.

Nice creativity there. The colorful lettering on purple background look very Royal.

John Sebastian > Rick Derringer (McCoys) > Eric Clapton > George Harrison. That is quite a lineage of owners for one guitar, even though it was with Clapton for a short time. One of the top most famous guitars ever.

Not a musician either but fascinated by Mona and Lisa’s guitars and relevance to the Beatles instruments, and just love seeing them jam with them in the two recent live videos and Baby Mine.
