Spoken like a true artist Lisa!
While contests might present some value in the amateur realm, its concept I think is at odds with the spirit of the artist. I couldn’t imagine John Lennon or Paul Simon, as young aspiring artists, submitting their music to a contest for validation. I don’t think they would have cared less what critics or panel of judges thought of their music, as long as they liked it and thought it had some value to the world.

Howard. This reminded me of driving around in my ole Stang with Max. It wasn’t as dramatic though.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all your input. It’s interesting to see a pattern develop of some songs that get mention frequently, like “You’re Gonna Lose that Girl”, and glad to see my fave of fave original “Sweet Lorraine” mentioned frequently too.
At the very least, all these suggestions can make a great play list of MLT songs to take with you.
Please keep them coming if you don’t mind indulging some of us.

..Oh why stop there. Here is one more.

Hey Mona and Lisa, I guess great minds think alike, eh!!!
As you might notice, Einstein is one of my heroes.

Jacki, you are right, all we need is imagination as the famous Mr Bad Hair Day said…..

Howard. I am not talented at all, I just sometimes try to exercise a little creativity each day that I can.
I read or heard somewhere a while ago that the greatest gift humanity is blessed with among all the wonderful creatures of this world is “creativity”. Mona and Lisa inspire and remind me of that every day.
Animals can do great feats through instinct, but we have something even greater, creativity, which is what separates us from the rest of nature.
Anyway that’s my deep thought for this weekend. 🙂

Hey Mona and Lisa, you are both so eloquent in your written correspondence, I think you would both make great writers too in whatever discipline you wanted to write in. Your detailed written correspondence we’ve all witnessed here in the last few months really impress. Perhaps it’s just an extension of your music making talent to be able to express yourselves so wonderfully. Just another in a multitude of talents you ladies possess in abundance.
I hope you don’t get too caught up in the “Snowmageddon” gripping the UK this week. In Canada the “Polar vortex” has us in a deep freeze, except in the balmy pacific northwest where I am where it is still 7C today. 🙂

My head hurt after that 2nd one. Will watch the results of the 3rd one from the sidelines and see how the more Beatles savvy folks here do.

Here’s one I did from 2017 when Orange was released.

Hi Jacki, fabulous art. How did you get the purple groovy? Did you use ink and calligraphy pen? I ask cause I dig pens, and I like to doodle with my flex fountain pens too. Example below.

Thoughtful responses they always provide take time and Im perfectly fine waiting as long as it takes them. Their music and video projects I think should take priority over anything else and they mentioned they’ve been busy working on some in the last newsletter. My question submitted a few weeks ago is awaiting moderation too.

Hi Jota. Thanks for sharing that. Mona, Lisa and their music is very special indeed. I believe dreams do come true, just never stop dreaming. All the best.

My fave Mona effect moment. John Lennon and Ringo Star all rolled in one. So much talent overflowing with anything Mona does like her breathtaking singing on Best Years of our Lives.
-
My fave Lisa moment. Its not about speed or how many notes you can spew out a second but, its the feeling you can express that is the mark of greatness. So much feeling in the way Lisa plays the guitar, not to mention the sublime singing too like in Little Drummer Boy.

Thanks so much Jacki! Coming from the poetry master herself, that means a lot. 🙂 🙂
