Howard, in Canada I think the tipping concept have gotten out of hand.  Some restaurants under pay the waiters expecting they will make up the rest through tips, so tipping becomes expected instead of something you can give for good service.  Any way about Liverpool, I had the pleasure of spending the night onboard the Queen Mary last summer which is a famous product of Liverpool, next to the Beatles and great music.

Couldn’t agree with you more about everything you said Jacki.  I’d just like to add that from “Aufstehn” to “Hey Bull Dog”, whatever end of the spectrum in genre they cover, they sound truly remarkable giving huge fans of the original songs a new fresh experience to enjoy.  This versatility and musical depth show up in their original music too from a rock and roll “This Boy is Mine” to a sophisticated “Nothings in Vain”, or a hard rock “Club 27” to a heart stirring ballad “Still A Friend of Mine”.  Their greatest musical strength I think is their incredible singing and vocal harmony that together just explodes into one of the most beautiful sounds in the musical world.  The singing and harmonies in  “The Best Years of our Lives”, or “Little Drummer Boy” among many others are just sublime beyond words.

What the musical world today is missing is the kind of creative and diverse musical talent MLT brings, and I think it is getting ripe for MLT to make a big global impact.

Here is that CBC clip about pop music today, if you forward to 40:11 to listen to the clip, unless if you want to watch the entire CBC national news.

Although this talks about nostalgia to the 90’s, I think modern music today just lacks the talent to keep the current generation interested so I think it’s a great time too for the current generation to discover the talent of the MLT and hear what real great music and original song writing sounds like from the era that launched the greatest bands of all time.

I agree Mike.  I heard on the CBC over the weekend that the current selection of music output from POP bands is so bad, listeners are going back to the 90s.  Bands like Back Street Boys, and Spice Girls are making a come back, and a lot of pop groups are going back to the 90’s sound because they sound more positive than the music being created today.  The general public is getting tired of modern pop music.

Thanks Howard, Michael Rife, Michael Triba for listing some of the greats here.  That’s a pretty extensive list.  What do you guys think of Chicago that I noticed is not mentioned?  They were quite big in the 70’s with their own distinct sounds, and I like some of their later stuff in the 80s and 90s as well.  I was listening to Beatles Revolver the other day and when I heard “Got to Get You Into My Life”, I immediately thought of Chicago.  With this one song, I think the Beatles were a pre-cursor to a whole generation of sounds that bands like Chicago, Boston, Steely Dan, Toto, Steve Miller Band, Little River Band etc would go on to immortalize.  How great is the Beatles.

Lisa, is there tipping in Austria?  I know tipping is a big North American thing, not done in many other parts of the world.  Nothing drives me more crazy than a waiter with an attitude, especially in an expensive restaurant, but I can feel better by not leaving a tip in Canada when I leave, or leave bread crumbs everywhere 🙂

Tomas, thanks.  I think I get it now from what you wrote.  yvurgy ets (sigh), played backwards.  I’ll have to figure a way out to play Glass Onion backwards to actually hear the message.

Jacki, was it “Black Denim Trousers and Motor Cycle Boots”?  It reminds me of a Truckers cassette I had a long time ago.  It had songs like Convoy, Teddy Bear, Giddy Up Go, etc on it.  I recall there was more talking than singing on most of those songs, kinda like rap.

Howard, yes that is why I can’t get enough of the multi-talented Mona and Lisa.  Don’t know what surprises they will come up with next for us all.

Your Moto Guzzi California sounds like quite the impressive cruiser.

I had my share of speeding tickets with my first mustang, including running over someones garden and shrub in their front yard one evening when I tried to impress a date.  Blew out both my front tires in the process.  Smartened up after that.  🙂

Hi Michael, and Michael  🙂  See my comment on “Is this where I ask fellow fans…”.  Couldn’t agree with you more about modern music industry and lack of talent and creativity.  Doing my part to push that thread to reach 100!

Saw both videos, and Toni is very good on the guitar, and Reina’s Hold me Before I’m gone Forever song is a very sweet ballad.  They are both very talented and I can see why you like them so much.  It’s too bad real talent like MLT and Reina are not dominating the charts these days instead of the canned music the industry is trying to ram down everyone’s throat.  Perhaps vehicles like MLT Club, that goes more direct to the fans that appreciate real good music and talent, is the way of the future for the music industry.  Seems like the greed of the modern status quo mega music labels and promoters have killed creativity in the garbage they are trying to push to the masses as good music.

Hi Howard.  Wow, you have quite the experience and passion it looks like for motorcycles.  Sounds like a lot of fun.  Your current Moto Guzzi California Tourer 1400 sounds pretty incredible.

My first Mustang was a sleeper 1989 5.0 Liter V8 Mustang LX coupe, the kind the highway patrol used as their interceptors.   Cruised the Vancouver BC to Los Angeles route over a dozen times over the years.  Done it in 22 hours once taking turns with a friend.   Properly optioned they were regularly beating vettes off the line back then because they were so light and had so much torque.  Had that one for 13 years and put on 340,000 KM on that bullet proof drive train, and then in 2002 got a lazer red all decked out Mustang GT with a 4.6L V8 and had that one right up until last year.  Unlike my first sleeper mustang, the 2nd one was a real looker.  I had a huge response on Craig’s list when I sold it, people offering more than what I was asking for.  Hope to get another one in the not too distant future.  With independent rear suspension they can handle as good as European high end sports cars now.

Both Reina and MLT did Janis Joplin’s Mercedes Benz and Chuck Berry’s Johnny B Good, so it was fun comparing their versions.

I have to say MLTs vocals in Mercedes Benz and Johnny B Good are quite a bit more dynamic to my ears than Reina’s who has a strong country influence to everything.

I just listened to some of her originals on the youtube channel and Reina Del Cid is indeed a female Bob Dylan as you say.  Has that signature Dylan vocal down good.  Which video does Toni Lindren appear?
