In my opinion yes and no. Yes in that they accomplished a lot so far and have a lot to be proud of. No in that if you have a special talent that can move people and make lives better, I think it is a virtue to make it a life long journey. Some might define making it as reaching financial independence, that doesnt mean you have realised your full potential.

I am not sure Mona got stuck on drums, but rather she favored the rythm side of things. The musically talented powerhouses they both are I think they recognize each others strengths and play the instruments that make the most sense to make the best music as a duo. Both are remarkable and accomplished guitarists. Mona on rythm and Lisa on lead. When they are together the magic happens, much greater than the sum of their parts just like the Beatles.

Well I guess we can very confidently say it wasn’t Ringo 🙂 🙂

Thanks Steve. Had a look at the Hey Bulldog remastered promo video as well as the Making of…and really enjoyed it, and learned lots. Was great to see a full in studio recording session of that song by the 4 of them, and they were having a lot of fun for sure, and loved the barking at the end. I think it was brilliant for MLT to include their version of this forgotten masterpiece here. I guess there is some mystery as to whether it was George or John’s guitar riffs that ultimately appears in the Beatles recording. My gut tells me it was George since they had his red guitar out. Any opinions?

Lisa
So that is how you guys got that unique intro sound on Nothings in Vain. Always wondered. It really adds to the character of that song. Apparently there is a very famous symphony that starts off like that, off tune for the same effect hundreds of years ago. I just cant remember what symphony that was. Its really late here. I guess great musical minds think alike. ????

I am sure if I expressed the greatness of Hendricks or Page back in the day, I would get a similar response, but Lisa is the best darn female guitarist I’ve heard, of any significance to me.

A warm welcome Ron. Monalis-aholic, I like that 🙂

Mona can hold her own on the drums up against anyone, and she can play a mean Blues Harp, but she shines with her hard rocker voice. “Revolution”, “Club 27”, “You Really Got Me”, are just examples where she just nails it! Love the way she carries the vocal expressions in those fast songs, epitome of cool! And of course the harmonies with Lisa is sublime.

Welcome Jean-Marc, nice to meet you.
Your english sounds great, even if you had a little google help. It is much better than my French will ever be.

Howard. You got it absolutely right!

she is the complete package. Writer, composer, singer, multi instrumentalist, performer and actor, all coupled with the sweetest, most beautiful nature ever (well apart from Mona perhaps) and for these reasons I believe she is not just my favourite, but the best out there and along with her twin sister,
True greatness is multi-dimensional, not just technical.
