    Hi Howard!
Thanks for that lovely introduction, your pre-orders and for joining the club! The full triad 😉 ❤
Unfortunately we’ve never gotten a chance to see Brisbane during our 6-month stay in Australia but if the people there are anything like the rest of your country it must be a terrific place!

Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us too – we love hearing details like that. Seeing the Stones in ‘73 must have been a treat!
Looking forward to seeing you around the Club!

Hi John, just got back to your first forum post and will now have a look at your second one and everyone else’s that came in since 🙂

If we get some questions that we might want to think about a bit more before answering or if they come in before we’re about to “hit the sack”, we might not always be able to get back right away. But hey, so far we did them all within 24 hours! 😉

We’ll try to be in here at least once a day for now. We love reading everyone’s questions, getting involved and hearing people’s thoughts and feedback.

Gonna go through some more questions now, then getting back to working on a new MLT Club surprise!

Welcome to the Club and thanks for joining us, John!

Thanks John! Glad you liked our version of Yesterday. We were a bit nervous about covering it 🙂

About Paul’s new album: I’ve only listened to it once in its entirety so I can’t say very much yet. On first listen I left liking some songs but I’m not going to comment on “Fuh You” 😉

Considering the life Paul has lived I’m always hoping for more depth lyrically but then again he has enough songs under his belt to have said and done it all before. I think the album is very well recorded and the sound is amazing. And like you said, it’s probably the kind of album that would grow on me over time.

And it’s fascinating how he’s constantly doing, creating and involved in all sorts of projects. He just doesn’t slow down, does he? 🙂

Welcome, Eduard! We’re also glad to see so many fellow Beatles fans and musicians here and thanks for the compliments about our original music. We’re glad that’s what you stayed here for! We’re working on more of that 😉
Thanks and we hope you’ll enjoy it here!!

Yeah! Hi Mike, thank for joining us here! Had to google what a mandolin capo looks like and now I want one and we don’t even own a mandolin. They are tiny and adorable! Do you play it in the usual G-D-E-A tuning? We’ve never worked with that tuning or gotten the hang of it but are always intrigued by the differences in string instruments.
Hope you’ll have loads of fun here at the MLT Club 🙂

Hello to the East and welcome to the MLT family 🙂 Glad we made it on your radar through our “Drive My Car” video and that you decided to join us here. Kon-nichi-wa! I used to have a japanese housemate when I was on student exchange in Australia/Adelaide and I always made her teach me some words. The only thing I still remember is katatsumuri … not the most useful of words haha 🙂 Hope you’ll have lots of fun here! Moshi moshi!

Would you have gotten everything right? If you asked us we’d say that we don’t sound very alike but of course it’s easy telling yourself apart. 😉

I already mentioned in a different forum post that I had the initial idea to write Count On Me during a power blackout back in Austria. I was sitting in complete darkness, quite literally.
When working more on the lyrics later on, I didn’t struggle much with the verses. It is something that is on my mind a lot. Trying to figure out one’s place in this world, never quite feeling at ease, doubting, questioning but in the end trusting in the journey. You know, the sort of existential stuff that keeps you up at night 😉

But I wasn’t quite sure where to take it for the chorus. I knew I wanted to emphasize the positive sides of the relationships in my life that helped me figure out those “bigger” questions. How important it is to have people around you that you can trust. The fact that Dad came up with the lyrics for the chorus, kind of refers to exactly what the song ended up being about. What do the kids call it? It was kind of … meta? 😉

Family played a big role in helping me figure out “life stuff” so I love that he gave it that spin in the chorus. And I also just wanted to write a folk song in C that goes to an E before it hits the F … always wanted to use that chord progression haha.

Hope that answered your question 🙂
    Thanks, Lisa

Okay so from the top of my head, I’d say (in no particular order):
Sweet Lorraine, Count On Me, Still A Friend Of Mine, The Wide Wide Land, Club 27

Holy Moly Jung! First of all, thank you so much for your most recent extremely generous donation but also for all the other moral support over the years. We are blown away, a little speechless and can only say thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for believing in what we do and for helping us being able to continue this journey ❤
Now that the MLT Club is set up and running and the 2 new albums are about to see the light of day, we can’t wait to get back on the case of making more videos and filling the internet and MLT Club with new music!
Loved reading more about your life and thank you for the introduction to everyone here. You should start picking up the piano again 😉

Always so good to hear/read from you and we’re happy you decided to join us here 🙂 We loved this introduction and reading about your (condensed) life story. It’s fascinating hearing from people that have insight into the good and bad of the music industry that watch our journey through the lense of their experiences. We’re glad you like how we’re going about things, purposely staying away from certain paths. That means a lot.

Great to see you here and thanks for the support! (… she says, wearing some fab headphones!)

Hi Jacki!!! So happy to have your creative purple spirit in the MLT Club 🙂 Welcome ❤

  • As far as actual location goes, nothing too crazy comes to mind, but I can think of a state in a certain location that inspired me to write “Count On Me”. That counts, right? 😉 Back in Austria we sometimes had power blackouts during storms or heavy winds (normally due to a tree hitting a power pole somewhere). “Sometimes I throw a stone into the darkness …”. The concept for the song came to me sitting in the pitch black during one of those power cuts.
