    Hi John!
No, we don’t live close to any of their houses but we’ve been to all of them a few times on various tours, either as visitors or “special guests”. It’s crazy to think how some regular old houses can turn into pilgrimage sites for Beatles fans all around the world just through the power of music. 🙂

Thanks Jeffery! Time flies! 🙂 I still remember how nervous we were. Little did we know we were going to play that stage 99 more times after.

We definitely prepared extra well for the Steve Harley tour ???? When we work in the studio, we hardly ever write down any notes on paper but when we prepare for a live show, we usually like to print out the lyrics or chords for the songs we’re working on at band rehearsal.
Mona is usually better in keeping them all in one place/binder.

We only ever use the notes for rehearsal though. Other than a setlist, no piece of paper makes it onto the stage ????

    Hi John,

We played a few more songs with Mike during his Liverpool visit that we also filmed/recorded. We’ve only cut together the one song that we posted shortly after his visit. We then dove straight into other projects so we haven’t really looked at the rest of the footage. Maybe we’ll get around to it in the future sometime.

There is one more music video we did with Mike, in case you haven’t seen it yet (it’s not on YouTube): https://test4.monalisa-twins.com/if-i-needed-someone-release/

AMEN! You’re a girl after our own heart 🙂 It sounds like you went on some wonderfully crazy adventures yourself.
There are so many things we’d still love to do and explore and experience. This musical journey in itself is the biggest adventure of it all for us and has allowed us to see and do things we couldn’t have dreamed of.

It has also taught us that in order to experience the most meaningful moments, you have to put in a lot of work beforehand.

While there are a lot of intriguing adventures we’d love to embark on (travels, sport, exploration etc.) in the best-case scenario, they would somehow intertwine with our artistic/musical or life goals. Or at least don’t take away too much in the sense of time and commitment. Hence why we like to shoot music videos on our travels, write songs in other countries, see the world through touring etc. These kinds of adventures feel the most fulfilling!

But besides finishing the next album and all the musical adventures, like shooting and planning new videos, doing collaborations, learning new skills and instruments etc. travel in general is a big one on my adventure list, personally. Unfortunately, as we all know … that’s been made very difficult lately ???? But there is so much more I’d love to see of this amazing planet.

Fitness and the outdoors have become all the more important to us in recent years and have done wonders to our mental and physical well-being. So, after we’re done with Project Trail Marathon, we’ll have to pick a new crazy goal or sport to try out. Maybe we’ll keep sharing parts of these other aspects here in the Club 🙂

We hope you’ll get to do the zero-gravity flight soon. That sounds so exciting! It reminds me of one of my favourite music videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWGJA9i18Co

    Thanks for the question!

Stay groovy and take … risks ♥

    Hi David,

The idea of this has always intrigued us and it’s something we’d love to explore one day. More than likely it wouldn’t be a feature-length project but we can see ourselves experimenting with shorts. We’ll see – we’ve never thought about it in a concrete way, it’s just always floating around in the periphery of our minds.

I can’t see us doing anything that doesn’t have a humoristic element to it because let’s face it, we would be so bad at serious acting that that in itself would probably be comical 😉

There’s lots of currently very relevant topics that we’d love to pick up on in one way or another but for now that will have to be done with the upcoming album + accompanying music videos!

    Hi Paul,
I played the solo on the 12 string Rickenbacker (the one I use in the video) but also overdubbed it with my Fender Strat on the recording. I read that George and John both played the solo on their strats in unison which is why I thought a 12 sting would work too. I loved the sound of it, but the second 6-string helped give it some extra punch.
    Hope that helps!

    Hi David,

Almost always we come up with the specific video ideas for a song after the song has been recorded. It might be that we have always had a “vibe” for the video in mind but that is usually not very concrete.

With more storyline based songs like “Sweet Lorraine” it is a little different. Like probably most of you, we see a little movie playing in our head whenever we play that song (or ones similar). But we’re less likely to make videos for such “story” driven songs as your imagination is likely doing the job for us (and it would cost a fortune to translate what we picture in our minds “to screen” in a movie-like way) 😉 .

    Thanks Thomas,

We haven’t written out anything specifically because there hasn’t been a need for it. If we get approached with a contract we have a pretty good idea of what we would cross out/leave in (probably not much would be left). In our case, a normal record contact, even if it was set up somewhat fairly, would still be mostly redundant as we already do so much of our production “in house”.

So if we were to work with companies/labels/managers etc. it would only ever be for specific projects and time frames and it’s hard to plan that in advance for things that have not happened yet.

We do have our own label called “Woolgoose Records” through which we have released all our albums so far, so we’ve got that covered too! 🙂

Things have been working out great until now and we are sure, now more than ever, that we’ve chosen the right track. 🙂 Thanks for the question, though!

How gorgeous have the last few weeks been? Fingers crossed it will stay like that for just a little longer.

So many amazing childhood memories took place in the orange VW camper van you’ve seen in the video! We spent some of our happiest summers driving through Croatia or Corsica with our family exploring the beaches, making friends on campsites and playing in and on top of the van itself. It was our summer-mobile 🙂

Dad decided to sell it some years ago to a local business owner as it wasn’t really up to scratch for long distance travels anymore. The guy parked it on a road we’d drive past every morning on our way to school so we’d usually greet the old camper van every morning. I used to say that I’d buy it back from the guy when I’m “older” one day, so who knows, maybe when I’m “old” enough (still not sure what age I was referring to), we’ll be reunited ????

The fact that it was orange just shows that all orange is good and orange brings happiness ???? (You can read more about the album title origins here: https://test4.monalisa-twins.com/why-orange/).

Hope you’ll get to go on some great adventures with your new build!!

27/04/2021 at 17:14 in reply to: Upcoming trail marathon

Well! Due to Covid cancellations we had to transfer our entry to different trail marathons 3 times now, so at the moment it’s looking like we’ll be racing at the end of June. It messed up our training plan quite a bit but at least we got a bit longer to get in shape now 🙂

We might announce the event info on short notice so people like you can virtually follow along.
And yes, it’s going to be a “trails only” marathon through the mountains with lots and lots of elevation ????. We did the Snowdon half-marathon two years ago which was a total of 1400m ascent, so this time is going to be even tougher. And yes, we’re aware that was probably a stupid idea!

Mona, being the cruel bully she is, is pushing me over. Thankfully I’ve learnt how to fight back since. We now live in constant fear of being tripped up by each other 😉

    Thanks Bill,
We always try to spend as much time as we can outdoors and connect with family and friends whenever we can.
Only this weekend we went on a little overnight camping/hiking trip 🙂 We do like to take some proper time off every few weeks to recharge. Plus the weather was amazing so we couldn’t resist! ♥

Well, I think we can all agree that lukewarm coffee is a sad situation!

But hot (usually) or cold (preferably in the summer) is fine by me. And who am I kidding, I still drink a whole lot of lukewarm tea and coffee that I “rediscover” on the counter a few hours after I prepared it. It’s not great but it’s still tea/coffee 😉
