When I joined the Club nearly 3 years ago, MLT had 14 songs with one million views. I watched the count go to 20 which is when I started this thread. Their now at 21 with 3 in the cue in the next 30 days or so. “Nowhere Man” will be the second song released AFTER I joined the Club that hits 1,000,000 views. “Please Mr. Postman”, released shortly after I joined is their third most viewed song.

Thanks again, David, for keeping up with this. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus from MLT, but I have noticed that “This Boy”, one of my favorite Beatle songs and MLT cover will hit 2,000,000 views today or tomorrow.

Welcome to the Club, Patrick. MLT has had posters for sell in the past but they seem to be out of stock at the moment. Hopefully when they release their new album there will be a new poster as well.

I was hoping we might see another song hit a million views by the end of this year. Perhaps the release of new songs will bump up the daily views for their older stuff as well.

“Politician”, by the way, has 1.7 million views on Facebook. I believe it is their 3rd most watched video on that platform after “Wish You Were here” (4 million) and “Still a Friend of Mine” (2.6 million).

Hey David, do you have an estimate on when “Here, There and Everywhere” will reach 1 million (it hit 900,000 today). It seems the most likely to reach this milestone first among those close to 900,000. Unless “Nowhere Man” is on a much faster pace.

Those of you not on Facebook may have missed MLT’s announcement that they reached this milestone today. Congratulations Lisa and Mona!

I sometimes wonder why, with 200,000 subscribers, there are videos with so few views. The first thing I did when I discovered MLT was watch all their videos. I may have only watched this one two or three times, but I did watch it, along with all the behind the scenes videos that also seem to be less popular.

Meanwhile, on Facebook, “I Bought Myself a Politician” is still getting, by far, the most views per day. It now has 1.4 million views, getting roughly 200,000 views per month.

“Close to You”, with about 500 views per day, will hit one million views on FB in a few more days. Unlike YouTube, there is no easy way to see when it is on the verge of “clicking” over. View counts are rounded off.

“Questionable” has less than 24,000 views in six weeks on Facebook, so apparently people would rather watch it on YouTube (over 200,000 views)

“Good Day Sunshine” on the other hand just passed 50,000 views. About 40% of what it’s getting on YouTube.

I’m in Omaha, Nebraska. There’s an outdoor amphitheater outside Omaha, in Papillion, that would be a great venue for an MLT concert.

By the way, WYWH is at 1,999,960. I need to step away from my computer for an hour or so, so I expect I’ll miss the turn.

Tom, for covers, probably nothing (it’s complicated). For their originals, figure it’s about $1000 per million views, give or take a few hundred. Even if they were receiving money from all their videos, with about a million views per month (currently) that’s only about a $1000 a month. Add in the money from their album and merchandise sales and I suspect they still need our support. Hopefully once they finish their new album, they can plan a tour. I’d pay $50 or more to see them live.

  • I’ve been out of town for a week and away from computers, so I missed a couple of milestones this past week.

“I Bought myself a Politician reached 1 million views on Facebook (in less than 6 months, which is great for an original)

“Till There Was You” became the 20th video to reach one million views on YouTube.

“Questionable” should reach 100,000 views on YouTube in its first week. That is phenomenal for an MLT original.

I just wanted Jim Frei to to know that at least one of us didn’t miss the “Heart” throb reference in his picks.

As for me, I had a crush on Susan Dey (The Partridge Family). I knew she was just playing a part, but I always wondered if she could really play the keyboard and sing.

“Wish You Were Here” reached 4,000,000 views on FaceBook. I don’t know exactly when except that in was in the last week. Meanwhile, “I Bought Myself a Politician” is over 800,000 and still climbing fast. It should hit 1,000,000 in two to three weeks.

3 cm to be precise (according to Lisa). Somewhere their exact heights are given but I couldn’t find it with my searches so far.

David, after watching “She’s a Woman” on the first day of release I didn’t notice until a week later that it was well passed 100,000 (currently at 170,000 on day 16). Now I see that “She Loves You” is at 122,000 on day 3. What do you think made these two get so many more hits after their initial release than most MLT new releases? Do most of their subscribers have a strong preference for early Beatles tunes?
