Well you’re in good company Jim. David Bowie hated it enough that LDB/Peace on Earth was born. I like it, but I can easily see how it would be annoying or could be disliked.

As for “Yesterday,” I find that fascinating. Nice to know I’m not the only one that hates a beloved classic. I wonder if it’s the tune itself, just the Beatles rendition, or maybe the fact that it’s so over-done (who hasn’t covered it?) that just the thought of it is annoying. I feel the same way about Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” While I love the song itself, I do get tired of hearing everyone and their uncle’s monkeys trying to cash in with it.

I always figured she was just a fictional instance of one of the lonely people, not an actual person. I definitely agree that the name is better but it makes me wonder…if the song had actually been called Daisy Hawkins and the real person named Eleanor Rigby, would we think that Eleanor Rigby sounded funny?

Thanks Jacki! Good to know. I seem to remember that the UK actually stopped all international deliveries for a time last year, and I sure hope that doesn’t happen again! Like I mentioned, there’s always the option of buying online from a local retailer in the UK and having it shipped domestically 😀 You’d just have to make sure to let MLT know it’s coming and from where and whom or it might wind up being a mystery gift that gets opened in November. lol

I know your Dad’s looking into some of the web site issues as well, and a quick crawl of the site links will tell if there’s anything amiss, but before anyone goes too crazy, I often use my browser’s auto-complete, and I suspect that it may have just filled in a very old URL and I didn’t notice.

Well, I figured out the problem. That search box wasn’t there for me. Because somehow I got logged into test2.monalisa-twins.com instead of the production server, and it’s not there on that one! Meanwhile you all are thinking I must be blind. LOL! Now I’m logged in correctly, the search box is right there where it should be.
