They claim a request list of 34 million.
It’s on the video of Penny Lane.
I think that means too many to count.
They are working on a set of originals.

*IF* they EVER get around to wondering what do we do next …
I have a project in mind which i call “North American Classics”.
Sometime soon i will start a general discussion thread.

Operator was my favorite Jim Croce song.
I had a lady friend who i think was in love w/ Croce, she was really broke up when he died.

    Well,

regarding San Francisco, they have already been to Lombard St. and the baseball stadium and The Marin headlands across Golden Gate bridge. I guess that leaves Haight-Asbury, Golden Gate Park and North Beach.

I might not be the best tour guide, but that’s my best effort so far.

    Cheers

    My sentiments exactly.

Bare bones, lean and mean, just let the voices and instruments shine through.

I think the Beatles did a great job before they discovered the studio as more than a place  to record.  And i think they used the studio in response to what Brian Wilson had done.

Brian Wilson was a very talented and very troubled soul with lots of time on his hands.

    Think of the implications.

    The thing is…

can any of us remember when the disco stuff was fresh after three years of hearing nothing else ?

I think it was innovative.  But then the radio forgot to play anything else.

I liked the mining disaster song a lot on that early Greatest Hits album.

I remember a lot of great numbers from their pre-disco days.

I had their 1st greatest hits album.

I hope Barry is doing well.

    Thanks

All great choices.  Walking in the air is hauntingly beautiful.

I don’t watch much TV or movies,  so it broke my heart to realize that they didn’t write it.

The Liszt piano solo on guitar was beautiful.

Jacki, Howard won’t respond until overnight from down under.

Don’t feel bad about something not understood. We all are giving each other an education.

    Lockdown sucks!  Everybody stay strong.

  • There was way more of Peter Frampton on your video.

That must have been a big to-do concert.

    Thanks for finding it.
