Jung, I always have MLT on my mind now, or on the PC or on the car stereo, Lol. Friday On My Mind is a great tune and fitting for The Twins considering their connection with Australia. I always liked the song since I first heard it years ago but never knew much about The Easybeats until YouTube came around. George Young and Harry Vanda were the co-founders, songwriters and guitar players for the band. George Young was the older brother of Angus and Malcolm Young who formed AC/DC in the 70’s. George and Harry produced AC/DC’s early albums and George played bass for them on occasion. Here’s a clip of George and Harry with a post Easybeats venture called Flash and the Pan “Hey, St. Peter”. I know you’re an AC/DC fan so you may recognize George’s outfit in this video. https://youtu.be/RgOMxTxWPuQ

Nice post Leif, for a long time I thought Suzi was a UK artist. I too first heard of her from the appearances on Happy Days. I remember her doing Heartbreak Hotel, quite a good little rocker Miss Quatro. Happy Birthday Suzi Q.

Hi Phil, I’ve been in the club since Dec. 2022. I joined to watch the Christmas Live Stream and will now be here until I die. It’s so much fun looking at all the great pictures and exclusive videos and of course all the great music. When you get the time watch the Livestreams in the Advent calendars under Fun & Games. It’s just like having Mona and Lisa in your living room playing and singing and showing their personalities. It will probably hook you like it did me. Hope you enjoy the club.

Jung, I too like the Bon Scott era of AC/DC. Hard to believe that Bon died before John Lennon. By the time I really got into AC/DC Bon was already gone. I like Brian Johnson too but it’s almost like two different bands. One thing that really impresses me about The Twins is how much they know about these older bands, and not just their music. When I watch the Friday On My Mind video and see Lisa doing the head bob like Easybeats singer Stevie Wright, I can only smile. This girl has done her homework and is paying tribute to Stevie. I think MLT maybe is somewhere in between The Beach Boys and AC/DC.

Jung, I could definitely picture Mona as a blonde bombshell in one of those classic movies, looking like the bombshell in your picture. Lisa is certainly a beauty too but I could see her in more of a light hearted comedy with her charming sense of humor. I only hope the producers would let them play their own music and not force them to do that
crap they made Elvis do. Lol.

Hi David and Jung. I was wondering the same thing, if Ron Howard was really playing the guitar. I remember an old Andy Griffith Show episode where Opie (young Ron Howard) put together a band with his High School buddies. He played guitar then also. It wouldn’t surprise me if he did play guitar but I’m sure the music for both shows was supplied by someone else. Andy himself was a very good guitar player and may have taught Ron some things. A lot of actors are very versatile and fairly good musicians. They probably have to be in order to have a long career. I can think of a few. Johnny Depp plays guitar occasionally with Alice Cooper’s Hollywood Vampires. Kevin Bacon and his brothers have a working band. Sheb Wooley played a cattle drover on Rawhide. He was also a singer, musician and songwriter and had a monster hit with his song “Purple People Eater”. This could be a discussion on it’s own.

David, all of these great numbers sure lays truth to the Twins statements in the Q&A about YouTube videos being their best promotional tools. Years ago radio play, TV appearances and magazine articles were probably the best ways for an artist to promote their music. Along with endless touring. With YouTube recommending their channel to probably thousands of people per day I don’t know how you can beat that. I think the Twins are very smart at operating their business the way they are doing.

Hi David, 100,000,000 would be a nice Christmas present for sure. I only used the 27,000 because that’s what 10 million averages out for 1 year. David H. predicts they will reach it sooner so that says they are doing more than 30,000 per day. That’s 3 times the population of my town. Lol
-
David, according to my calculator 10 million views would be 27,397 per day for 1 year. I believe you when you say it will be reached in just a few months. I just want to say if their channel is getting 27 thousand views a day I think it is very successful.

The song I was trying to figure out is Songbird. At first I thought it was about someone the Twins knew or idolized, a female singer, celebrity maybe. Then I thought maybe they wrote it about themselves or each other but the words “Follow Your Beak” made me think no, they are singing about a bird. Lol. It’s interesting and fun to read everyone’s interpretations of the lyrics to all of these songs.

Hi Steve, Destination Sunrise was one of my early favorites from WHY?. It gave me the feeling of heading out on a trip, maybe a planned vacation or just a spontaneous “road cruise”. Heading into the sunrise, to me, means something new and exciting. I agree that The Twins as well as any good songwriters leave a lot to the listeners imagination and interpretation. I tend to stay on the lighter side of lyrics and not get too deep into them. Heck there’s a lot of classic rock songs I’ve been listening to for 50 years that I really don’t know the words to. Sometimes I use my own words, like on the song That’s Life I always sing “before the pool closes” instead of “before the book closes”. Lol. Doesn’t make any sense I know and I don’t know why I sing those words. I just think it’s funny.

I’ve never seen those record cars before. Looks like fun but I don’t think I’d use it on any good records. Maybe on a Garth Brooks or Toby Keith record, Lol. I wonder if you ran it backwards if you would hear all the satanic messages hidden in the recording. Those religious groups would love that. I’m getting better at understanding Mona and Lisa talking but their speaking voices are quite similar and sometimes blend together, but I don’t mind replaying their videos.

Yeah David, I remember those cereal box records and placing the 45s off center to get the warped sound. Also playing the records at different speeds was fun. I still change the speed settings on YouTube videos to get different effects. The first few times I listened to some of The Twins interviews or Q & A videos I would slow the speed to 75% to understand them better. Lol

I’m pretty sure they made it themselves. I would just like to see what’s actually printed on the form. If it is a legit questionnaire I just think we would get some funny responses. Of course I would probably lie through my teeth to try to get selected. Lol

This reminds me of The Twins Duo Sessions. Just two artists with two guitars, rockin’ out next to the campfire.https://youtu.be/In7MChGC2Wo
