My question is, do you have an annoying uncle or anybody who’s, like, known you since you were little girls and comes around at holidays and asks embarrassing questions like, “Who would you want to find under the mistletoe this year if you could safely have mistletoe this year?”? I had an aunt who was like that.
I know you worked with
John Sebastian. Are there any other classic artists you would like to create with? How about Randy Bachman?
My question seems to have disappeared so I will repost. What parts of a British Christmas do you import into your Austrian celebration?
Hello Ladies,
I asked a question or two in the section above.
I wanted to know, what is the best/ most favorite gift you have gotten from each other ever.? Secondly, on Christmas Day what do you typically do first? Open gifts from each other, from fans, from family, from parents, or perhaps stockings. Or do you do something else first. Like maybe eat? But who wouldn’t want to open presents first.????
We usually open Our gifts in rotation, then have a big paper ball fight afterwards.
My question was what they enjoyed most about a British Christmas and what they missed most about an Austrian Christmas.
The first time I saw your video for “All I Want Christmas to Be”, one important question came to my curious mind: Did Rod Stewart spend every Christmas with your family, or just the one?
Just kidding, but I couldn’t resist…..
My question to the MonaLisa twins would be: Do you know the “Heard” collective from London, which was founded by the two musicians Daisy Chute and Cerian and supports female artists? Since the beginning of lockdown they are doing an online show with now two shows a month on YouTube, where they invite and welcome female (mostly) musicians (each time another one) for talk, singing and fun. Perhaps it would be a nice opportunity for you to be heared on a livestream?
Hi everyone.. It’s the time for beautiful Christmas songs.. I have some favourites including the beautiful ” All I Want Christmas To Be”.. So I asked Mona and Lisa what’s is the favourite Christmas song for each one of the Wagner Family..Mona, Lisa , Rudi and Michaela..And also I asked . In the video of that song. .. Who falls and laughs when they are skiing and if it’s a broken tooth that we see in that beautiful smile..
what was your favorite christmas gift as a child.
So many great questions, can’t wait for another Q&A. My question was about plants and cooking, some answered already, but hobbies are always evolving!
Tomás
Does Mona & Lisa ever jam together? Mona getting behind her drums and Lisa rocking that Gretsch? I can picture you two jamming together so do you? If not you should! Don’t forget to film it too if you do!
Always love your Q and As. This is going to be fun. My question submitted! 🙂
And you’re going to keep it a secret till they answer it, Jung? I think I’ll follow your lead. Not that I don’t appreciate the openness of others here. Lots of good questions
I just presumed the format of other Q and As submitting the question on the form presented, but I see some posted it too in the comments. Nothing wrong with that. Great questions, and thanks to those for sharing their questions in advance. I’ll opt to keep mine a surprise, ???? if it gets answered.
I want to ask where else would you celebrate Christmas apart from Britain or Austria
I decided to ask a question about differences between Christmas celebrations in Austria and the UK. I guess I’ve been interested for a very long time in how different countries and cultures enjoy their Christmas holidays. I also want to thank the MonaLisa Twins for hosting this very interesting and fun Advent event.
Do you (or did you in the past) go caroling? I would follow you around just to hear your lovely voices!
What a thoughtful way to involve us today Ladies. I hope my question wasn’t to elaborate. Thank you botb so much for such a thoughtful and so fan and you all interacting advent calender this year.
I’d also like to know more about your fabulous “Walking in the Air” video. How much of the video shot by your dad using his drone helicopter? Where? (Derek Scott’s locations look like they might be correct (?))
Merry Christmas!! My question is a simple curiosity. Tell me if I’m wrong, but you don’t put a Christmas tree up until Christmas eve? Then Christmas morning it is lit with candles and sparklers? In your Christmas video “All I Want Christmas to Be” you show a clip of when you were toddlers and one of you is walking, the other Michaela is carrying. I am guessing Lisa, you are the one walking and seemingly unafraid to go in to the room with the lit Christmas tree. I am guessing that you, Mona, are a little timid about venturing into the “unknown?” Is that right? 🙂
Either way it is such a heartwarming, adorable, precious moment that I am so very thankful you were willing to share with us. Thank you both!! I do, so love your song.
My question(s) are all prompted by the Walking In The Air video you posted on St Nicholas Eve:
1. Is St Nicholas Eve as important as Christmas Eve in Austria?
2. Which places in Austria are shown in the video? Someone on YouTube suggested it was
Großvenediger/Großglockner region and the famous Krimmler Wasserfälle.
3. Did you learn to ski when you were in Austria?
In terms of music, have you ever tried any songs like Sie Liebt Dich, Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand, Wooden Heart or 99 Luftballons which feature German language, or at Christmas time a carol like Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht?
My question is: What is your earliest Christmas memory and what made it so memorable? Although there are pictures from all my early Christmases, the earliest one I actually remember is the year my family moved 240 miles across the province because my father had a new job. I remember my parents warning us not to expect much for Christmas that year because they had no money. Their words impressed me deeply. With my little brothers, I secretly crafted a mini-tree out of twigs and adorned it with paper chains and ornaments. Underneath the tree, we placed all the coins from our piggybanks, each one wrapped in paper, as gifts for our parents who we thought must be very poor. We covered the whole thing with a blanket and only revealed it Christmas morning. The surprise and love on my parents’ faces will never be forgotten! And we were surprised by the presents that Santa had managed to bring us after all!
My question to the twins was about the possibility of a live streamed mini-gig (i.e. maybe from their living room or somewhere like that – doesn’t have to be a full set performance?) over Christmas hols? Maybe over youtube or similar? I am sure many of us on here would be happy to pay live show ticket fees to help the twins at this difficult time due to the pandemic lockdowns over Christmas.
That’s a brilliant idea, Nigel! I just wish to add that this would be cool to combine both a gig and a Q&A session together. I imagine answering questions in between songs (especially those submitted online in the process) would make a feeling of feedback and a sense of real presence for both sides. YouTube give an opportunity for broadcasting like this, it’s quite easy to setup.
That’s even better with the participation Ivan. 🙂
Agree. Great idea! I’m in.
Yes! Live Stream any time day or night I’m in.
We’re getting our wish, Nigel, so thanks for asking for it, although the opportunity to pas the hat doesn’t seem to be there …. yet. Maybe it will be on the night.
