  1. Loved it when Rudy said he’s “the third Twin” (like the fifth Beatle) near the end of the video. Watching the three of you together was wonderful. Love you all. My favorite song of all your originals is still “The Wide, Wide Land”. Such a beautiful song.

  2. I don’t know who will see this. The lyric I always heard wrong was in “Africa”. I heard “Kilimanjaro rising like an empress above the Serengeti”. When the song came out I don’t think I knew Mt. Olympus. I know that’s the write lyric, but I like empress better.

  3. I’m really bummed out that I’m at work when your live stream begins and there is literally no chance to get home in time to listen, so its normally the next day before I catch up. (No music allowed where I work). Since I can’t be here ‘live’ I do wish to tell you and your family how much I appreciate all of these wonderful things that you do for your fans. Think of it, you spend an entire month preparing and producing content for us. I believe this is way ‘above and beyond the call of duty’, so to say. Thank you so, so much for bringing so much joy and happiness to so many.

  4. I always get more out of these videos the second time around. I think I’m so busy thinking of questions and reading the chat that I miss a lot of what is being said. So much great information from Papa Rudi and Mona and Lisa. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your lives and working process. And thanks for being so humble and charming.

  5. I couldn’t tune in live yesterday so I just finished watching this today. What a heart warming and really fun conversation. I can’t get over just how humble and modest Rudi is given all his musical (and video) accomplishments. MLT productions are easily some of the finest I have ever seen and heard. So many MLT original songs deserve to be among the most popular songs ever written, performed and produced -yet they remain relatively unknown. I will never understand this.

As far as support from the lucky fans who do know this family, you have not only won over our ears and eyes, you have won over our hearts and souls. This is a very rare accomplishment indeed and maybe the one the four of you can be the most proud of. 🙂

  6. I came in about half an hour late and saw the first part afterwards.

This time it was Papa Rudi’s turn to be in the seat between the two knife-wielding twins. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really liked hearing Rudi’s perspective on things and got some good laughs along the way. Hopefully there will be more Wagner family online chats in the future.

I liked the motorbike question/discussion. I love the outdoors, but I have never ridden an off-road motorbike (often called dirt bike here). There’s a lot of open public land here and you can ride for many miles on old jeep roads and trails. I preferred a mountain bike – it was another way to be out in the desert and mountains, away from it all.

Isn’t it strange that Lisa, and almost all the rest of us, can sometimes be clumsy, but she has the perfect touch to do precise, millimeter/millisecond dependent things like playing a guitar.

The sessions with Michaela and Rudi gave me a bit more of a perspective on who the Wagners are as a family. You are the kind of people who would be great to know as close friends or neighbors. It is one of the things that makes the MLT Club so great.

  7. Papa Rudi was great fun last night, you can tell where Mona and Lisa get their wonderful sense of humour from! I suspect the advent special guests feel like we are interviewing them remotely, but if so they definitely passed the audition. We feel like we’ve met all the MLT stars now and got to know them even better!

  8. Yes, I’m still wide awake at just about 3 AM in the wee early hours of Monday morning ….. Menopausal Insomnia Bo7ts…. I just luv them when they frequently occur …. Not …,, screws up my sleep pattern, it makes me more tired etc …. but MLT helps me get relaxed, feeling sleepy, with the slow songs, Lullaby like ….

A hearty Thankyou shout out/to for Papa Rudi for his unprecedented awesome Join-In, that has to be the record for him talking up a storm in all the years , I’ve been a fan a fab thing …. and for Michaela as well on Friday, #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Stellar Epic for both to have come on and chat…., etc.,.most rewarding, treat for all …,

Still trying to look/recall where it was I either heard/saw them do Get Back or Paperback Writer Live or some other Beatles song… I’m thinking of it being an outdoor venue on a beach , or outdoors MLT was in the lineup to do a gig…. darn it, I can remember being at the library at public computer awaiting to for them to come on , it was awesome, and I think either Philip/ Michael was performing with you or it was Jake/James …, can’t recall location, in Europe somewheres, I’m thinking it was around 2012-2014 -ish … maybe where you had sung Can’t Buy Me Love on stage (cover photo for the Beatles and More CD-blue one ) and I think you had met Christomir( MLT fan) at this festival gig or I’m getting confused with another gig where you met Chistomir and/or did this gig venue that I’m trying to recall/search more info on, I believe/think it was on one of the older versions of the MLT sites from the past around 2012-2014-ish ( I think MLT fan Den, was still alive then as well ) , and/or perhaps the info /backup got lost when your computer issue of crashing occured awhile back… Arrggghhh…. this is driving me crazy, I know of it, I recall hearing it at library, I just wish I can recall gig, tge venue location, for some reason, an open air waterfront venue is in my brain for it ….lol…
16 years now or close to it, I can remember some stuff from away back when, even some YT video, like the gig of wee kid up dancing by the stage inside a hall/barn venue , the college party gig outdoors, …. your original MLT site with you both holding up your guitars with Mona ‘s name in yellow and Lisa’s name in Red, and both are wearing stripes designed shirts on main page of website ….lol… OMG, I just aged myself…lol…

If ever I find or recall this thing, I’ll post link and/or at least describe it if link not available ….

Ok, almost 3:30 AM, Jax saying GoodEarlyMorningNight ..,. 😉🙃🤭😴🛏🤔

  9. I finally finished the live stream… it’s interesting that Rudi said when he was in his band he did not like to cover other songs unless he could make them better… because that song is already out there you just as well write another one….! When I heard the last song on your first live album years ago… Bob Dylan‘s song, Baby Blue! I thought that was such an awesome song, the way it was arranged, with Michaela’s saxophone…. And of course Rudy’s voice. I had to find Bob Dylan’s performance of it online. Bob needs to take some lessons from Rudy on how to make a song into outstanding music! Stunning performance, Rudi and Michaela…. And of course I could hear mona and Lisa on the guitar and the drums in the background. Rudy should win an award for that cover. I am totally enjoying getting to know the Wagner family! 🤓

  10. That sure was a lot of fun. We still can not decide whether you have the koolest parents in the world, or Michaela and Rudi have the koolest kids in the world. Thank you all for putting these livestreams together. We are having a blast. It looks like you are having fun, too. This community of MLT fans is a direct reflection on you. You have brought some wonderful people together. And I know we are all dying to make you smile in return for all the joy you bring to our world.

I hope you reward your parents for agreeing to this. We always think of them behind the scenes pedaling a giant hamster wheel, or creating an assembly line that runs throughout the house during a new album release.
    Your teamwork is very inspirational.

    Merry Christmas,

    Marlo & JP

  11. It is so cool that Papa Rudi was teasing Lisa about her “There’s nothing I can’t do” quote. Even though it is not a lyric, it is still my favorite MonaLisa Twins quote. Have used it as an inspirational message for our high school baseball team.

    1. Yes, I enjoyed her quote too! I’m sorry Lisa, if it sounded like I was poking fun at your quote with my question — “but can you teach a dog to play the trombone?” I was just giving you a hard time because you said you could do anything!

Really, I have the highest respect for both Lisa AND Mona for their outstanding Musical abilities, which includes playing several instruments each, and so very well!

Thanks again so much for today, and for getting your dad to appear and answer questions! And as Christopher just said, you’re even helping to inspire their H.S. Baseball Team! — Bud

  12. Was unable to see the last two Advents live but what a treat. First, Michaela on Friday and Papa Rudi on Sunday. Thank you to both for joining the chat!

  13. Thank you so much for joining your daughter’s today. Great to see a bit more of the man behind the scenes!! What a fun and enlightening livestream that was. Equal (well almost) to your other half appearing on Friday. Both you and Michaela should appear more often.

  14. That was so much fun, so nice of Papa Rudi to hang out with us all. If you decide to tour the U.S. I will roadie for free!! You just have to feed me.

  15. I had to cut out of the live stream early. I’m on my way to another Christmas party …I’m playing the Grinch again.! it was so nice to see and listen to Rudi… I haven’t figured out how to ask questions yet because I am very low tech… Also my bribe to Mona for a warm Hawaii cabin with horses was also to all the Wagner family because I knew that Rudi 🤓was into dirt bikes.

  16. Just arrived home from your beautiful capital city of Vienna where I spent the last four days. Architecture is wonderful and with the Christmas markets in full swing it was an amazing site. Had a dinner in an Austrian restaurant beside the Belvedere Palace which apparently is where a royal brewery once existed and still is in operation to this day. Schnitzel and apple strudule was very nice indeed. A place I would love to visit again someday. Maybe a little nicer than Liverpool????

  17. Not going to be left out tonight watching Mona and Lisa eating cake and chocolates so I am sitting here with a big slice of fruit cake and a cup of tea!!

  18. Papa Rudi coming on Livestream….Humdinger Dandy this is going to be too…. This Wknd… A Team MLT Family Gathering of Epuc # MLTBUZZLUVGROOVIFIED proportions ….. Can’t wait, and we’re in for a interesting wonder, with Presence Of Oapa Rudi , perhaps stealing the Livestream Thunder, What fun to be had, Perspectives this time from Dad, Aren’t We All Lucky and Glad … Be logging on soon… 🤘🏻💎☮️❤️🎅💚

  19. I just caught up with Friday’s livestream. While I’m disappointed I couldn’t join you live, Michaela was a real treat on-camera! You three are marvelous together! I can’t wait for live Rudi today! 😊

  20. This will be good with Papa Rudi joining us. I got to think of something halfway intelligent to ask, I better start thinking now.

  21. I sadly missed the livestream Friday, I fear, but I won’t miss another, I hope, my deer! 🦌🦌
I’m back on track, razorback! 🐗
    Here to stay, popinjay! 🦜

  22. So we finally get to speak to the man who had a big influence on the twins. He did so well!!! Thank you papa Rudi for that and wanting to chat with us. This years advent is allready magnificent!!

  23. This morning’s earwig from a song by Donald Fagan of Steely Dan fame.
‘The song is called The Nitefly

    I’m Lester the nightfly
    Hello Baton Rouge
Won’t you turn your radio down
Respect the seven second delay we use
So you say there’s a race
    Of men in the trees
    You’re for tough legislation
    Thanks for calling
I wait all night for calls like these
    An independent station
    WJAZ (WMLT)
    With jazz and conversation
From the foot of Mt. Belzoni
    Sweet music
    Tonight the night is mine
    Late line
Till the sun comes through the skylight

We are supposed to move furniture today, but heavy rain is in the forecast.
Either way, we shall see you in a whirl, you silly squirrels.
