Performing at the Annerlfest, 2012 – Live Video & Photos

Some early live band footage!

On Tuesday we posted some photos from our show at the “Gänserndorfer Sommerszene 2012”, a yearly festival close to where we grew up in Austria. Today we show you what happened afterwards!

As soon as we took the last bow on that stage we quickly packed up and brought our gear to another little festival that was going on nearby. The “Annerlfest”, as it was called, was in full swing and we dropped by to play a half-hour set as a midnight interlude! And there is some video footage 🙂

If you remember, we have mentioned the “Big data crash” that happened to us in late 2012 before, where we lost a majority of the video footage we had taken during the many live shows of that first year of playing with a band, due to a power blackout and backup failure.

Well, this video we had edited and uploaded to YouTube a few months before the crash so it survived on the YouTube servers for all this time 🙂

It only was live on our channel for a short while and we had completely forgotten about its existence until we looked through the photos of that night!

We thought some of you at the MLT Club might be interested in our humble beginnings as a live band so we decided to share it here.

On stage with us we have Michael Mozeth on bass and Philipp Wolf on drums, like we usually did for most shows in Austria.

Below are some more photos from that evening.

We send virtual hugs,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Vintage MLT. Great stuff ladies. I’d like to see ya dig deeper into that Felice/Boudleaux Bryant catalogue; some tailor made material for those heavenly harmonies.

  2. It’s amazing when we all look back at our younger days and see how much we have progressed but you haven’t changed that much, you were having a lot of fun. You have grown into Professionals now though and I think your probably taking it a lot more seriously. You still have the same guitars. It really sounded great. Thanks so much and it’s really to bad you lost material and video’s, I would have liked to see them. Stay Groovy!!!!!!!!!!! Walt Music

  3. Wow LADIES!
What a special treat! Gives a bit of back story on your start up. The story is obviously true. Anything you do in life starts with meager beginnings. 7 years later and you’re a polished act.
Thousands of fans around the world are watching your current explosion on You Tube. That Very Loud Roar you Here?!
All your fans are CHEERING like they’ve been set free. ?❤

  4. Thanks for posting this, really enjoyed it. It’s amazing how great you were at only 18!
Sounds like the hall was acoustically challenging, can you remember how it sounded on stage?

  5. You sounded as if you had. Lots of fun peforming that night. I perform for open mic nights and they are great fun. You ladies are fantastic

  6. What fun. Wish I was there. I’m so glad you still have a few of these older videos. They will become more precious every passing year. The joy and excitement of performing shines just as bright in your eyes today as then, even as your artistry continues to sweeten.

  7. Love everything about your live performances!
You’ve always had such great stage presence; love Mona’s Rick and Lisa’s Gretsch; love your speaking German – it actually sounds melodic when you speak it! Your guitar playing and harmonies are magical as always – if I would have been there I would have started the MLT fan club that day!”

  8. I’m so glad that this video survived! I love seeing your live performances. You both have great stage personalities and your music and performances are so alive and exciting, even this older one. I hope someday to find a way to see you play in person. Love the MLT Club!

  9. What a great way to top off two awesome slide shows of that magical music evening with this equally captivating video. Love the video capturing the people enjoying your music, dancing, and having fun while you perform. Even early on in your live performing experience, you all move, play, and express yourselves on stage like a pro class act, with a ton of finesse. The photos capture your passionate expressions as you perform beautifully. Love it all! Thanks for these. 🙂

  10. I had forgotten all about this being on YouTube…lol…I remember it now, because of the little kids dancing nearby…that’s what stood out back then and still does now besides the obvious, of your gig ??…I’m happy you found this, rediscovered the mopemories and shared…brought me a Fab Friday Smile and great prelude into the wknd….much appreciated…if I’d been there, guaranteed I’d been at front of stage, dancing and singing along, taking photos, because, I enjoy having a fab time, and take photos to further remember it by?
