  1. It’s always so nice to see you sharing your minds. Feels like we’re in your living room with you.
I love this color scheme you’ve come up with, those colors are hard to make look good, but you make it look FAB! Love the T-Shirts too!

  2. Was “under the weather” all last week so just able to watch this now. Love your time of sharing. I’m terrible at thinking of questions to ask, then I hear what others are asking and I think, yeah that’s a good one! And I loved your special guest! Thanks again!

  3. My apologies, I thought I had already commented on here but maybe it it never showed up ( possible glitch from my end as sometimes things don’t work techwise proper for me), so I’ll re-comment …

I thoroughly enjoyed this Q&A with Neve as co-host-guest host, so adorable….
Always enjoy hearing your in depth thiughts/replies retorts the Qs asked while at same time learning things too… a Bonus !!

Speaking of Canadian Geese, they are around Ottawa now until they fly off in their ” V” formation as Jung pointed out come October/November and yes, very much so, ” PoopPartyCentral” in particular in parks around here where I am, parking lots, etc, and they enjoy my area , as I have walked by them up close since Soring vegan, tgey seem to like the skateboard park & Hydro substation that’s closely to my place …. gotta watch where you step, also known as an occasional “DoggyPoop- OwnersDon’tPickItUpAfterwards” occurrence to, on constant ???????????????? footstepping watch…..lol…

    Back to Q& A video ..lol…

Loving this new format, looking forward to next one and the ” Twins-Themed ” one too…

Thankyou for this, again , immensely enjoyed, fab Qs submitted and your Fab replies, and new things learned … ????

  4. I love the video format for your “Ask the MLT” responses. I really enjoyed this video and I appreciate your personal, friend-to-friend attitudes toward your audience which you displayed in your discussions. I was also impressed with the questions themselves from my fellow MLT Club members.

Good luck finding a forever home for your gosling, but I’m sure Neve will be ready to move on with the next phase of her goose life.

    1. I have a very strong feeling when Neve is fully grown, and of course eventually on her own, I won’t be surprised if one day, down the line, she would return to area and remember Mona and Lisa, Michaela, Papa Rudi, animals do have keen sense of memory and recognition for people…. I sincerely hope this will occur, with such loving fostering care the Warners have shiwn/given to Neve …

  5. On the subject of being twins:
    1. Do you have nicknames for one another? If so, care to share???
    2. What are the best and worst things about being twins?

  6. My wife and I are on vacation celebrating our 40th anniversary so I just got around to watching the Q & A today. So much fun as usual. And always interesting to learn what is behind what you do and the funny stories of your growing up years. You are always a breath of fresh air. Can’t wait to see your new video.

  7. Just thinking about the scratchplate question, Lisa – I remember when you removed it. I can’t recall now the exact reason why you removed it in the beginning (cleaning the guitar maybe?) but I remember you telling me that you quite liked how the guitar looked without it and asked me whether I thought you should leave it how it is or put it back on. As I’ve said before, just where have the years gone!? I can’t believe how long ago that was!

  8. Wow, I can’t believe we didn’t watch this until tonight. Our weekend got away from us. This Q&A is great. You three birds are adorable.
I almost fell off my chair during Lisa’s brain storming session. Marlo nearly did a spit take.

Mona, I think the game you are referring to is what we used to call Ding Dong Ditch-it. I grew up in a big residential neighborhood with a good number of kids around. We use to dare each other to ring a doorbell and run. The rest of us would hide nearby to watch it play out. We were real dare devils for ten year olds.

Your eye color chat reminded me of a song by Stephen Stills, “Grey To Green”
    And her eyes turn green
    When she’s feelin’ love
    When she’s feelin’ bad they
    Turn blue
    They’re hazel
    When she works
    Until she sees
That my love can change her
Grey eyes back to green for me

My eyes were green when I was younger. Now they are more blue. Hmmm?

Bad Dad joke warning: I guess geese do give a sh#t about thyme
    (I warned ya ????☕️☕️☕️☕️)

    Stay Groovy!

    Marlo and JP

    Loved the Monty Python reference!

  9. As to the question about your eye color, I have also noticed that your brown eyes sometimes appear green. Have you considered that you might have hazel eyes? My eyes are hazel and vary in color depending on the light and the angle they are viewed at. Check it out on the web if you are curious.

I love that you added Neve to your videos. It is a bit weird how we bond to baby animals – why do almost all of them appear cute to us? We had a baby quail for a few days before the rescue people came to get it. I remember how it would run up into my hand to cuddle. It hurt to let it go, and I’ll bet it will be hard to see Neve go.

  10. I thoroughly enjoyed this!. Nieve (not sure about the spelling) is adorable. Have you ever seen “Fly Away Home”?. It is loosely based on a true story. A young girl finds a brood of goslings and they imprint on her. They wanted to have the geese join the migration. So, they altered an airplane to look like a goose and taught the girl to fly (since she was the only one the geese would follow).

  11. My (German) grandmother played the piano and had an extensive collection of sheet music of (now vintage) popular songs, including Lili Marleen (Marlene / Marlen)

There have been many different recordings of the song in both English and the original German. Here are a few of them:

    Lale Andersen – 1939 (German) – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjXC4N1HXf0
    Lale Andersen – 1942 (English) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0P_m7SZBvQ
    Marlene Dietrich – 1944 (German) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7heXZPl2hik (Accordion)
    Marlene Dietrich – 1945 (English) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnv2ZcVUkJ4
    Vera Lynn – 1962 (English) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSMuTm649Hk
Kid Creole and the Coconuts – 1980 (German) – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f34aoy9-zEo

  12. I could watch you 2 talk for hours! I love when you’re laughing and having fun on these videos. Baby ducks are adorable! Thanks for another fun video!

  13. Hi Mona, Hi Lisa ..hi everyone..I really love your Q&A videos, it’s great to hear you telling your stories, thanks for answering our questions. Now, about the Neve the beautiful goose.. It’s sure to be a lot sad when you have to let her go., but, don’t worry God’ll protect the sweet Neve .. I’ll forever keep in my heart the pic of her with the flowers necklace that you guys made for her (who made it? Mona or Lisa?)…this video didn’t get long..it got short, I’d be able to listen to you for a whole day or more.. .thanks dear Girls …and Stay Groovy.

  14. Hi Mona and Lisa. Thanks for answering my question about the Travelling Wilburys. Of course you’d heard of them (silly me!????) as George Harrison was involved but I just came across them and was amazed at the superstar line-up. And, yes, the (quirky) humour is in the text speculating about their origins. I hope when Neve is flying free she tells her travelling companions (maybe one will be called Wilbury?) about these two lovely lasses and their welcoming family who saved her life and made her a video star. ????????

  15. Mona, LIsa thanks for answering our questuions. I enjoy listing to these Q&A video’s, it is all very naturele, like we are sitting in the same room.

  16. I suspect the new album opens a new chapter in your musical catalog. The theme reflecting current social/political affairs. “Jump Ship” could also be a metaphor for your musical journey. A possible parallel to the Beatles own journey. I applaud you courage to leave the safe covers (which in my humble opinion you guys are the best) behind – for now. I am looking forward to this album, And as some others have commented, I look forward to the next duo sessions, and love songs. To paraphrase Sir Paul “…what’s wrong with that?” Luv ya dubya. Peace be.

  17. Great session of question answering as always. I’ll have to come up with a few more! Love the little goose but I think you will miss it greatly when it goes back to nature. You wouldn’t want it flying around the house!!

  18. Hi. I enjoyed this very much. If you cover Badfinger, there are two other songs of theirs that could be good covers. One is Day after Day……..you will need a slide guitar on that one. I believe George played slide in the original recording. Another is No Matter What. It is special to me because it was my first solo vocal once upon a time (OK, it was 1972 or so!!!!). Either would be good songs to cover.

  19. So great to hear Neve’s news 🙂
Enjoy your time together! I guess when you let her go, it will be “mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge” (with one eye smiling and one eye crying)…

  20. Seeing how much enjoyment you get from taking care of little Neve is so heartwarming it gives me goosebumps. I know it will be so hard finally letting her go. Perhaps a great theme for a future original song along the lines of “She’s Leaving Home” a la Sgt. Peppers? Whenever you look up and see a flock of geese flying in formation you will ask yourselves “I wonder if one of those is our little Neve?” One cannot grow in life without learning how to let go. Loved this Q&A as always, thanks so much!

  21. Thank you for the Q and A video. I especially like hearing about the song writing process (working in German and coming up with an English product) and the commitment to get the upcoming album completed. There is so much that you want to do and we want you to do (The Duo Sessions are my favorite) but you are staying focused on your current goal.

When it is done…great. But please pace yourselves and enjoy everything around you. The sudden arrival of Neve may be a sign to take a little break during the time that he is with you. All of us know that the album will be outstanding.

  22. Hi Ladies,
This was such a cool Q&A THANKS!
Thank you for answering my questions too.
Before I forget, thanks to Lisa for making 2 guys hearts melt. Haven’t seen you wear those pants before. They look great on you.
I bet Michaela and Rudi have a different take on Double Trouble stories of you two.
Thanks again for a delightful video. Loved seeing NEVE.
    All the best to you
    Rick Ross

  23. Thank you ladies for the long video today. The longer the better. It is so nice to learn more and more information about you. Your fans really appreciate it.
I really look forward to hearing from you on Fridays – so all week long I have “Friday on my Mind” lol.
Hope you have a great weekend. Take good care.
    Peace & Love,
    Bobby S.

  24. My doctor when I lived on Maui, is a naturopath (licensed physician using natural treatments) by day, and a salsa guitarist evenings and weekends. So, Mona, it can be done. 😉

  25. Hi Mona and Lisa. That was so enjoyable and fun, thanks so much for this, and thanks for answering my questions. Always learn so much about your craft and the both of you in these Q and As. Time goes by so quickly. Loved seeing you both spontaneously break out into music, singing a little Marley Reggae!

Little Neve is so cute and adorable, and she does look bigger since last weeks video. I know when the time comes it will be very hard to say goodbye to the little guy, but know you both gave little Neve a new chance at life and to grow into a majestic bird like she was meant to be, flying to places us humans can only dream about. You’re both angels to rescue little Neve like that and show her what love feels like! Such a lucky junior Canada Goose.

Here are a few fun facts about Geese I hope you will enjoy:
Geese fly in a V formation to reduce drag for the bird in front and together they all fly much faster and further:
1..As each goose flaps its wings it creates an “uplift” for the birds that follow. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.

2..When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front of it.

3.. When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.

4..This is funny: Geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

5..This is heartwarming: When a goose gets sick, wounded, or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.

    Some lessons from Geese:

“If we have as much common sense as a goose, we stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give our help to others.”

“It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. As with geese, people are interdependent on each others’ skills, capabilities, and unique arrangements of gifts, talents, or resources.”

  26. That was very interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.
Little Neve the poop factory…lol Yup Canada Geese are known for that. In the park where I live there are lots of them and you do not go barefoot in the park!
Thank you once again for the smiles! You always make Fridays a wonderful start to the weekend and you are the favorite part of Fridays! 🙂

  27. Oh, wow. It looks like I’m first in line! Yes, life is stranger than science fiction. It’s got be out of this world to be real twins. I think you’re both great gals. However, I think Mona could do a version of Marlene Dietrich’s “Wenn die Soldaten” tune and wing it, or do a first-ever duet of this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTzdCF29OCI

OK, to begin, in my opinion, MLT came up with a very clever introduction on the “Orange” album with the sound collage titled, “The Future”. This leads to my question.

Something I noticed with the best original rock ‘n’ roll songwriters was for them to include an “Instrumental” on every album where they showcased some neat sound, exotic instrument, or riff of some kind that the writers came across experimenting. They developed the sound experiment just enough to make the album diverse and charming overall. Typically, there was a 1 minute or 2 minute instrumental somewhere on side 1, and another instrumental on side 2, right in the middle of each side. I used to love those. For example, there was “White Summer” from the Yardbirds which became “Black Mountain Side” of Led Zeppelin on their first album. Black Sabbath did that a lot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC0Q7oNY4QU and The Beatles were the pioneers of this lovely way of arranging the songs on albums https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyH8KlgBuvw to kind of give it an extra bit of interesting sounds or effects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkrDMmtQJFc

I think MLT does that, starting with the “Orange” album. They achieved this unique and lost art from the 1960s. THANK YOU MONA, THANK YOU LISA, THANK YOU TEAM MLT!!

My question is would continue to develop concepts like instrumentals on future albums? I would be even more tickled to hear experimental sounds continue. Again, thank you for bringing to life these little but significant lost arts to your songs and albums. I am very much your fan. Have a wonderful day!

    Mike
