Organic Music On Organic Farm – Photos

As many of you know, we grew up in a small village in a rural part of Austria, not in the western parts of Austria that you probably know from movies like ”Sound Of Music” and what many people typically associate with Austrian landscapes. We lived in the East, the flat and agricultural parts around Vienna. Still very beautiful and close to nature, only the farms in our region were all agricultural (no animals). The flat plains making the area perfect for all kinds of crops, vegetables and turf.

While the outskirts of Vienna were about a 20 minutes’ drive away it only took us one step out the backdoor to walk across fields and watch farmers doing their work. It really was the best of both worlds!

One of these farms was the BioHof ADAMAH,  an organic farm(shop) in a village close-by. They invited us to play on their Late-Summer festival on 8 September, 2012.

It was a beautiful, hot day, the whole place was buzzing and full of people (and dogs!) enjoying their day out and we were providing the soundtrack that afternoon 🙂

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. One of the highlights of summer around my area are all the little festival and fairs. Good food, games and rides for kids and adults. Plenty of drinks and always great music. So much fun having a good time with friends you don’t see everyday and meeting new people. It’s great growing up and living in the rural communities.

  2. Penny for Michaela’s thoughts as she sits at the table and stares into a future she couldn’t possibly imagine.

  3. I know that the name of the band is MonaLisaTwins but it’s not fair if there is only the both of you who can eat …

  4. So cool. A lot like where I grew up. The “Low Country” of South Carolina. Mostly agricultural farm land. When I was ten or twelve I picked cotton one Summer. Worked in a Tobacco barn hanging tobacco part of another Summer. Worked hauling and stacking Hay another. Cut most of our neighbors grass several Summers.
Most of my friends either farmed or worked for farmers. Because I didn’t “have” to do it all the time, and could try different things, I thought it was fun. I had a great childhood.
Love that you grew up around agriculture. We always had a garden. Lots of work, but great food.
    Groovy!! ?❤

  5. It sure looks like a fun time was had by all. Well, maybe the little girl with her fingers in her ears may have thought the sound was too loud. 🙂

  6. My wife grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin so these pictures take me back! Every year they would have a fireman’s picnic with booths and music and of course beer! I would have loved to see and hear you back then (and now too)!

  7. Beautiful band on beautiful scenery!
Those people in the crowd had no idea how lucky they were
You ladies were born for the stage with your powerful presences
    Thanks for sharing

  8. very nice setting, love that stage! Performing out in the open air on a beautiful day. Thank you for sharing .

  9. Some really great photos in there, thanks.
It still freaks me out though when I see your guitar leads not looped through the strap 🙂

  10. Really like this set of photos with shots of the venue and surroundings and people, and that cute pooch! I can really get a sense of a lovely summer day in the country atmosphere with the children and sunflower in front of the stage, and laid back relaxed look in everyone. A kind of a Tom Sawyer summer day! Some nice close ups of the guitars, great smiles and on stage action shots! Loved the picture of the 5 of you at the table, priceless! Looks like Mona and Lisa built up an appetite after the performance, and everyone else is just ready to kick back and relax for the rest of the evening after a long day 🙂 Thanks, was a lot of fun seeing these photos.

  11. Right up my alley in terms ofcacfestival and location, I love barns, farms, , they are farmers in my family, dairy , animals, my late Dad born on the farm just a hop, skip, jump away from the house I grew up in(his childhood house/farm was destroyed later on after they moved, new folks moved in )… There’s something nice about an outdoor, rural venue, farm property, (hay allergies withstanding…Beautiful photos , essence vibes of the whole day and place captured perfectly…gotta luv the dog having water slurps from glass/bottle…lol…it reminds me of the local area rural community autumn fairs that happen
around September/October here, music, crafts, livestock shows, etc, eating at picnic tables, in community halls…I quite enjoyed looking at the photos bhere, and your story behind them, Thankyou, it put a smile in my mind, and on face of Happy memories going to the local rural area fairs….????

  12. Love the atmosphere. You kept the dog cool on stage. The little girl didn’t like the music. But what I like the most is the staircase inside what I’m guessing is some shopping places. (Picture 4)
Thanks ladies at a look shortly before your 18th BIRTHDAY
