Behind The Duo Sessions 2021 – Photos

At the beginning of this year we started “Season 2” of our Duo Session series and have already shared a bunch of new acoustic covers with you!

As soon as we are ahead with the progress for our original album we will get back to our “Duo Session Corner” to film some more!

For today we would like to share some photos with you, all taken during the various filming sessions. We did a similar photo post a couple of years ago when we were still shooting Duo Sessions in a different location, but this new corner gives us a bit more room (although only slightly) 😉

Do you have a favourite Duo Session video so far?

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Was soll man da noch sagen,- alles ist gesagt – und mehr geht nicht. Wie sang John -“Beautiful Boy” ab jetzt heißt es “Beautiful Girls” und dem ist Nichts zuzufügen!!!!!!

  2. The Duo Sessions is one of my favorites, it captures you then and there. I applaud how you are growing, Mona learning the Accordion, playing bass, and more lead work. Lisa playing Harmonica was such a great first for me. You both are becoming even more accomplished musicians! I love to see and hear it. Bravo!

  3. Wow. The Dynamic Duo is in session! And I don’t mean Batman and Robin! Great pics, can’t think of a favorite duo session cuz it seems the more you do, the better you get. They are always worth the wait.

  4. Amazing things are happening in your magical corner. Each of your videos is like a picture, a work of art.But it’s not just like that.It seems to me that you put a lot of effort into creating something that is approaching perfection.I wrote this for those who think that everything is easy for you.
Creative success to you Mona and Lisa in your magical corner!

  5. I usually didn’t leave comments about the photo, but in this case I can’t.You are beautiful!Beautiful photos!Beautiful moments!Beautiful smiles!A wonderful surprise!Beautiful thoughtfulness!Beautiful seriousness and frivolity!
    Thanks!

  6. I enjoyed all of the pictures. Mona’s boots and her pouting face shots were a couple of favorites. Lisa has such a lovely smiling face in many of the shots that I just want to hang them on my office wall. Both of you are so photogenic that any pictures you are in becomes a keeper. MLT is such a classy duo that anyone can appreciate their talent, professionalism and beauty.

  7. These candid photos are so enjoyable, they’re worth a million bucks -and if I had it, I would send it to you. As far as a favorite Duo Session? –every one of ’em. Each one is pure gold. Keep them coming, please!

  8. You asked if we had a favorite photo from these pics…I love them all catching you with different expression on your face…Mona with the lips puckered up and the look on her face…I think somebody..maybe Lisa..was about to get an earful…..and the pic with Lisa and a big smile looking up with hands raised it looks like a moment of joy just happened but the look on Mona’s face is “what just happened here”…..and always love to see Papa Rudi get in on the action…my favorite song of this Duo Session Season 2 is “Stuck in the Middle with You” and that’s where Rudi is at…..and Michaela needs to get in the photo shoot more often…it’s always nice to see the 4 of you❤️????????????

  9. I love all the photos. Impossible to pick a favorite Duo Session, but Sweet Lorraine is near the top for me. Thank you Mona and Lisa!

  10. I LOVE THE DUO SESSIONS. It’s hard to choose a favorite. I love the bold choice you made with ‘Sugar Man’. There is something very incredible about the guitars, rhythms and vocals. Very fun to see the photos. And, hot damn Mona…love the boots!!!

  11. I gotta add how much I ???? the three big smiles in the two pics and how appropriate it is that PapaRudi is ‘Stuck in the Middle’ with you!

  12. I am always ready to see more family photos and home movies. These candid shots are great. Rudi always has his Proud Daddy smile on. Looking good, Daddy-Oh.

One of the added bonuses to each Duo Session is your sense of fashion. You are great at coordinating your outfits with the tone of the song. I think the jackets for Lola are the best. But then the dresses for Both Sides Now are perfect, and the hats. You both have some great hats.

Favorite Duo Session? My wife’s favorite is Lola. My favorite is the one I am watching, until I watch the next one. I gotta say though “Two Of Us”from 2018 is a favorite. It has a very spontaneous feel to it. And then one has to watch “In It For Love” of course. It has a similar vibe. Nice!

I almost forgot to compliment Mona’s boots. Very groovy. ????

  13. Thank you for sharing the photos! Very nice. Not sure if I could pick a favorite Duo Session, each session is always a treat, I like seeing the different instruments you use in each performance. Always look forward to seeing the next one.

  14. Beautiful Ladies,Beautiful pictures!!
Trying to pick a favorite Duo Session,is like trying to pick a favorite Beatles song…Almost Impossible!!
But if I have to choose(today at least) I’ll go with Vincent,no wait Sound of Silence, wait, wait Junk….Oh, I Love ALL OF THEM!!!
Thanks for bringing a Ray of Sunshine into every day for me.
Looking forward to the new albums release…Good Things Come to Those Who Wait!

Love & Hugs to Team MLT

  15. Aw shucks, They’re All Equally my Faves, I just can’t choose one…lol…sorry but I just can’t bring myself to do so, however I do love the various outfits, shoe/boot attire, all complimentary on you and for the songs you wore them for recording the session of whichever song you were doing. I love these photos, nice to see Papa Rudi have a guest appearance… Your #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Energy and Enthusiasm eminates out to us all, Thankyou, #KeepOnwardsStayingGroovy #KeepStayingGroovyAlways ????☮????

  16. Thank you for sharing these cool photos! And cool seeing pa pa rudi! All the songs I love and have to say Sounds of Silence, Vincent, Stuck in the Middle with you just to name a few. But the one photo of Mona reminds me of Young Keith Richards back in the day when he used to look like he was getting ready to do a solo, so cool and Lisa wow the hair braids are real nice , Maddie wants to know who did that for you? You? Mona? Michella?
Bill and Maddie Isenberg Huge fans from Pittsburgh Pa USA

    1. Hey, Bill and Maddie, if Lisa doesn’t get back to you right away, check last Tuesday’s ask MLT summary post for the answer to the beautiful braids. Stay groovy, you two!

      1. Jeffery and Lisa,
Thank you so much, I Will share with Maddie when she gets home from Summer Camp. Wow Lisa that is a tall task to take care of by your self but it does look beautiful and we all love how you do your hair and guessing it takes a bit of time but it is well worth the effort to all of us so thanks again Jeffrey.

  17. I get so mesmerized by your photos that I end up cycling thru them 3-4 times before I can tear myself away from them. Close to you is a favorite. All time favorite is Wishing You Were Here, it always reminds me of my son who passed away. I’m glad you covered it, it is very personal to me, and you did it so well. Thank you Mona and Lisa.

  18. Oh man love seeing these behind the scenes of your 2nd season Duo Session!. Your bright beautiful smiles just brightened up my morning incredibly. Just love each photo as it highlights you both and Papa Rudi as well in your elements working your craft! I can tell the different duo sessions apart just from the unique visual and thematic changes. You did an awesome job changing around the visual feel of each video as well.

My favourite Duo Session, oh that is too hard to choose so early in the morning. Overall across all the Duo Sessions from the beginning, my fave would have to be “Close To You”. The driving emotional pull of that one is incredible. From the second season, the beauty and elegance of “Sugar Man”. Again the singing is just so expressive and captivating, and the mood you set with your styles was elegance and beauty par excellence. Shows you can take any style of music and take it over the top with your magic. Thanks for showing us these behind the scenes. Really enjoyed it! 🙂

  19. Oops. Forgot. Fave Duo vid: “Sweet Lorraine”. The duo treatment makes it seem like a whole different song. Love the Orange version too, but REALLY ???? Lisa’s solo children’s choir and ???? fill in place of horns. Hard choice, tho, as I adore all things “Duo”! Sound of Silence deserves BIG props, too. And Vincent…and Junk…and on and on….

  20. I’d love to write captions for all of these! Fave photo post since mud run “Mona-dunk”! Too many standouts here to name all, but a few notables: pic#2 facing oohs, #5 Hallelujah!, #16 candid grins and braid wrap beauty, #18 bass face(admittedly plagerized), #22 gleefully mischievous, #29 wailing Pietro, #31 I can’t believe Pietro was my idea, #32 yup, that’s my girl, #36/41 bought the boots, blouse, brush and straws as a set!, #37 skritch, skritch, #47/48 absolutely priceless, #49 axe rack & amp, #50 damned autocorrect; bass, not base!, #55 Stunning! eyes, nails, hat and blouse all match u-bass, #56 yup, that’s me on u-bass, #60 like this, Papa?, #61 unbridled joy, #63/64 classic, classy, iconic… Sorry this post got so long, but couldn’t help but be inspired. Only way to improve would be to add Michaela to #47 or 48. Thank you, Dears!
