Pretty Little Thing – Early Access (Video)

Official Release Date: 25 November 2022

Most of you here in the MLT Club will have immediately known who this song is about! We can only imagine the faces of some of our more casual listeners when they come across this song at the very end of the “WHY?” album.

Of course, it’s about our little precious Neve, the rescued gosling.

We made a vlog about how we found her an then an update exclusively for the MLT Club about her journey into goose-adulthood at a farm. Neve has long flown off with her friend Frankie, and we can only imagine the trouble she’s getting herself in! Maybe we’ll hear all about it if they decide to return to the farm in spring.

Before we said goodbye to her, we asked her if she wanted to be on our new album. The fee negotiations were exhaustive, but she finally agreed to doing some guest vocals on a new song under the one condition that she could star in her very own music video. Who can say “no” to a cutie like her! So here it is! 🙂

Our pretty little thing is back on the big screen!

The video will be released on our YouTube channel next week but of course we wanted to share it with the MLT Club first.

Honk, honk!

  1. Anyone who discovers the MonaLisa Twins today and would like to get some good information on your website, can only be advised to take a few days off. You don’t find such a visually successful and comprehensive page every day. Absolutely great, congratulations! It offers an excellent overview of your career to date and also the opportunity to get to know your private side a bit. That creates atmosphere, that also creates closeness.

You have to like Mona and Lisa anyway, but not just because you are very pretty, that alone wouldn’t be enough. You both score highly with your skills, your natural being and last but not least, with your charm and your sense of humor. In every single video, the love for music is not only audible, but can be felt.

We think the club idea is fantastic and we are sure that it will increase your fan base every day. Who on earth wouldn’t want to be part of this community, with so much to offer?
(And this is where our only concern spreads: how do you want to manage everything on your own, once the construction of this site is complete?)

Particularly pleasing from the technical side: everything works! So far we haven’t seen anything wrong, illogical or anything else. If we discover anything else in the course of our studies over the next few days, we will of course let you know immediately.
We’re not quite done yet, hahaha, but we’re already very happy about what you’ve put together. Very big compliment!

    1. Correct you are, Mr. Meloman! When one initially joins the MLT Club he or she is mesmerized from the amount of information that is available. Where does one start?

I found that the Duo Sessions were my go-to each time that I visited. In fact, that remains the same today. It is the best place to truly appreciate their musicianship.

The Q and A sessions is a great place to learn about Mona, Lisa, Michaela, and Papa Rudi…who they are, what they stand for, where they’re going. Everything from their gear, to their outside interests, to their adventures, and to the recording process of their work.

They have inspired me to begin playing the guitar again. It is going to be a long haul to be decent again, but it has been fun.

Give yourself lots a time, and you will learn a lot. I’m still watching and I am still learning!

  2. This video is so cute…Neve is a pretty little thing that we all love and the song will make her stay in our hearts forever. It’s a fun song and I loved the vocals of Mona, Lisa and Neve..I hope so you and we too may see Neve again… but any goose I see around I’ll remember sweet Neve. Thanks dear girls and Stay Groovy.

  3. Greetings,
Pretty Little Thing has such a catchy melody. I tap my foot whenever I hear it.
The length of the song and video are just perfect. It’s short but sweet.
The video is very well done. The compilation of the footage gives us fine continuity and enjoyment.
Looking forward to the next video. Wonder which song it will be?
    So long for now,
Hope all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving have a good holiday on Thursday, the 24th.
(Mostly in the U.S. & Canada. Not so sure if it is celebrated in the UK?)
    Cheers,
    Bobby S.

    1. Thanks, Bobby! No, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK (nor in Austria) but we’ve got plenty to be thankful for, so we might still do a quick roast 😉
      Hope you enjoyed the weekend!

      1. Thanks for the message Mona. It is always special to hear from you.
Also, many thanks for remembering my birthday and for the good wishes.
I was born on Thanksgiving Day and my BD falls on Thanksgiving every six years.
My brother and sister (yes twins) were also born on Thanksgiving Day on the 23rd of Nov, five years before me lol.
        Cheers, Bobby S.

  4. When I first played the new album from start to finish when I got to the end, going down the hwy in my big rig, I heard this and you cannot help but smile. Was so happy you included her volcals. I hope you see her in the spring. Loved it! 🌹❤️🤘

  5. Perfectly ADORABLE! I was surprised how much previously unreleased Neve footage you had for this video! I shouldn’t have been, given the wonderful and prolific videographical documentarians(bonus points for two ridiculously long, simultaneously typed words?)you Wagners are! Plus, all proud parents love to record their kids, right? I think the general public will unavoidably fall in love with Neve and this video. I’d be happy to be the first to buy a print of Neve and Mona’s co-op artwork!

  6. What is this modern age coming to anyway?!! You offer a completely unknown new “star-wannabe” the opportunity to sing on your next big new production and they insist they get to star in their own music video! What ever happened to starting at the bottom and working your way up?

Can’t get this tune out of my head… hope it goes viral!

  7. Very very cute video, reminds me of when I lived in northern Nebraska and we had baby geese.
    Thanks for the good memories!!

  8. Very boppy- I’ve got a big smile and tapping feet watching this morning. No doubt it will be a deserved fan club favourite!

  9. I have to imagine Pretty Little Thing should be considered a “bonus track” that made it’s way onto the album very late in the game. But I find I am humming it to myself as much as any song on the album. When you asked what should be the next video from the album, I said “Pretty Little Thing”. I knew you would have a ton of cute footage and figured it would be like water off a goose’s back. I dare say I was right.

  10. Coming into this world abandoned and alone, what a wonderful unexpected turn of events for young Neve, to find herself in the loving care of of the Wagner family, for the most wonderful and loving life a goose could ever have! Little Neve probably doesn’t realize she has touched and warmed the hearts of people all over the world, and will continue to forever, what a Canada Goose legacy she will leave!

What a beautiful and charming song and video, and the perfect balance to the album. Sometimes the most unexpected things come along that turns into the most wonderful blessing. You must have set off some wonderful chain of events in the universe when you wrote Song Bird. A true Song Bird appeared in your lives, to sing on your new album, letting you experience true unconditional love, and touching all your fans.

Love the video and seeing the fashion sense side of Neve posing in front of the mirror with her stylish hat, and helping Mona finish that beautiful painting. She’s so absolutely adorable! Neve shows us what life is all about, what matters the most, and WHY? humanity and this little corner of the universe is so precious and worth saving. Neve embodies the lovable little child in humanity. Mona and Lisa, everything you both do through your music, and creativity is just so amazing and inspiring! Thank You for all this joy and beauty! 🎶 🕊 💕 😊

    1. I kept thinking about the bird serendipity when Neve became a part of of the life of Team MLT. From “I Don’t Know Birds That Well” long ago to “Songbird”, birds have been a theme. Then they foster little Neve.

After all this, Mona and Lisa do know birds rather well!

      1. Hi Christopher, good point, there is I Don’t Know Birds That Well that go much further back. Mona and Lisa do know birds rather well indeed! I hope Neve comes back to Mona and Lisa with a family one day, wouldn’t that be something!

  11. While I think “Make Show” is you most profound song/video, I think “Pretty Little Thing” the cutest song/video. I luv’d the part where she’s running toward the camera. Peace be.

  12. Absolutely adorable…I think probably every MLT Club member knew that you’d find a way for Neve to be part of this album and besides you girls needed some help with the vocals 😂❤️🧡

  13. Poor Mona, your painting! Oh well, Neve made the work of art her own. Neve’s seal of approval!

Well done. The video was fun to watch!

  14. Grinning from ear to ear and with a bounce in my step. Great job ladies. The love one can give and receive from a another is unlimited!! Hope we see her next Spring!!

  15. That little goose produced quite the golden egg here! I’m so glad the negotiations worked out. I’m sure Neve’s agent would have cried fowl if the compensation had been too poultry, and MLT would have had to turn the goose down.

  16. Super cute Neve was born to be a star even while destroying Mona’s artwork! Love it when she looks in the mirror – what must a goose think?

  17. Sooo cute. Thank you for sharing the Neve journey with us. Love the song Neve inspired. Am I greedy for wanting more Why? vids? 🙂

  18. ROFL. Adorable. I agree, Tom, helping Mona paint was the highlight for me, but also demolishing the daisies. People who don’t know the story behind it are going to watch the video and wonder how they managed to get a gosling to do all those neat tricks! 😀

  19. Adorable. (Neve, Mona, the video and the song!) Everything you folks produce is such high quality and touches my heart in a meaningful way. It’s a pleasure to support you four through the MLT Club. Thanks for this.

  20. Just so so lovely, and a fitting tribute to the little cutie Neve, who I’m sure will be just as cute in adulthood. I really hope you get to see her again xx

    1. Thank you Dennis! 🙂
The video is set to “unlisted” on our YouTube channel so only those who have a link to it can see it. We’ll set it to “public” next week!

      1. Hi Mona,

It shows up on your youtube channel on my wife’s Judy’s PC. She doesn’t log in to youtube or subscribe to your channel. (She thought it was cute.) 117 views so far, including 3 club member comments. Let us know if you want us to forward it to friends.

        Dennis

      2. I stand corrected, Dennis. I do not think that it was Team MLTs intention to have it out to the public yet.

      3. I should have added more details on where it was on YouTube in my first comment. It would have saved some confusion.
I agree that they didn’t plan on releasing it, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. Perhaps YouTube changed something somewhere and caused it to show up.

  21. Awwwwww … I’m so proud to be Canadian at this time, That was Frikkin Fab Adorable ~ EH !? 🇨🇦🍁🦆🐤
Absolutely, Unequivocally Love this, homage to Neve, she was a Light of Cuteness & Heartfelt Honks that made into your hearts and and all of ours too, which we all embraced Wholeheartedly , and I know she will Bless and Truly Eminate into All The Rest of The World come November 27th … Thankyou Neve & Team MLT for tge Inspiring Upliftedness that was Bestowed Upon Us All …. Hopefully She will come back to Farm for a visit, maybe with her own Family Flock …. This made my snowy day Friday wakeup into a Sunshine Warmth of Smiles

    1. More serendipity. Considering that two of MLTs biggest fans (You and Jung) are Canadian, a Canada Goose seems so appropriate!

  22. I have never met anyone who has raised a goose, she is absolutely cute!! Great video and the last song of the album was a great end. You should have played the song a little bit longer though. When are they supposed to return? What’s next, I can’t wait!! Stay Groovy!!!

    1. Hi Walter, I think the length of the song is good just the way it is. I think it makes it more special. Other artists, including the Beatles, have had a short song as the last track on an album. It is short but sweet. Take care,
      Bobby S.
(P.S. there is an old expression – “Always leave them wanting more”)

  23. Absolutely LOVE! 💓 LOVE! 💓 LOVE! 💓 this video. Loved the original artwork by Mona & Neve.It was so much fun watching her grow into a beautiful full grown adult, thanks for sharing the journey with us all.Hoping her and Frankie do return to the farm,so we can get some more video updates. Can’t wait to see what you two ladies have in store for us next.Haven’t stopped listening to WHY? since it arrived(another fantastic MLT production)
    As Always,Love & Hugs to All 💛 💓

    Tom

  24. We had a feeling this Pretty Little Thing would be in the next video. This is way too cute. The ground level shots really help Neve to shine. Her vocals are perfect. Wonder how many bad takes were left on the editing room floor.

Was this song recorded in one take, like a Duo Session? It feels like it was.

    TGIF!
