Our Grandparents Come To Visit – Photos
We don’t get to see our grandparents much with 914 air miles between us and them. But when we do, we have a hell of a good time. Here are some photos of their visit to England after not seeing them for about a year. Happy faces all around and hugs for days :-).

Luv all these photos of the Grandparents visit to the UK… The love and laughter and smiles clearly shine vivid ??????❤️?…
I only had one Grandma I grew up with (Mom’s Mother) as both Grandpas – Grandpa Rea and Grandpa Hopper) died in the same year.. I was about 4-5 and my Grandma Hopper died almost exactly a year later after Grandpa H…. I don’t have much memories of Grandparents Hopper except for Grandpa H and his pipe and love of cars… Grandma H for her love of baking /cooking and drawing and Purple ? while my Grandparents Rea… Grandpa Rea smoked a pipe too and had a great sense of humour – – (Thankful he never did this to me… Stick out his dentures to scare for fun the bajeebas out of his Grandkids who witnessed this–a photo does exist of this gesture of his-The photo scares me… Lol)… While Grandma Rea enjoyed spoiling her grandkids with her baking… Soft ginger cookies stored in tins… (her signature treat) and her cooking… Making us laugh…cinstantly showing her kindness and affection openly… No wonder I grew up close to her and she was my inspiration for choosing the career I chose… Working with the elderly in companion sitting roles and light housekeeping help for them in their homes and/or Apts.)
Grandma Rea trusted me enough to allow me to take her early 1920s style wedding dress and a few other artifacts from that Era she kept to school-Grades7/8 for my History class project I chose to do on the 1920-1930s Era… I got an A++/A+++ for it.. Her dress was the clincher… A tad discolored from age but otherwise in perfect condition. A Grandparents Love… Nothing quite like it????
Thank you for sharing these lovely, intimate family photos with us. This is one of the many benefits of being a member of the MLT Club. You are a truly beautiful family. Are these the grandparents who helped with your 2007 concert? If so, you have learned a great deal from your grandfather’s photography skills!
Yep, that’s the same awesome grandparents 🙂
Many club members wish they could have been to a Beatle’s concert. I wish I could have been in the audience at your first public performance. Hopefully also getting to meet your family at intermission, unlikely, I know, but maybe I could have at least gotten to meet your grandmother while sampling one of her baking products. Thanks also for sharing your latest video from that concert. I’m still hoping that one day we will also get to see your first solo, open mike performance, singing your own composition, ‘Alone’! That would be truly awesome!
