Groovy Donor Button & Album Update

We were thinking …

How can we best honour the generous donations we have received lately?

The MLT club has been amazing in allowing us to keep music our main “occupation”, independently and on our own terms, and we can’t thank you all enough for being here and making this dream a reality.

Some of you even go above and beyond and have made donations throughout the year which have been SO helpful in covering all the additional costs that come along with producing an album.

As a way to say Thank You, we decided to create some fun badges and will send them out to everyone who has donated £50+ since the start of the year (January 1st) until September 1st 2022 🙂

Times are tough, or at the very least uncertain for so many, and we would never ask or want people to support us financially if it would put a financial strain to them. But those that can and choose to do so – thank you, thank you, thank you! ♥

For past donations we will be posting all badges to the donors’ most recently used address in the MLT Store. If your address has changed recently, please get in touch 🙂 All new donors will be asked for a billing address on the donation form so we can use that address for sending badges to them. For administrative purposes we made the “last name” and “address” fields a requirement for now and will set them back to “non-required” again after September 1st 2022.

In the video, you can also see us open some additional birthday parcels that arrived with us late, and we’re catching you up on the progress of the new album.

Let’s have a chat!

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Hello again,

I am anxiously waiting for the next original music CD. I just ordered the When We’re Together DVD. I already have all of the MLT CDs, a hoodie, some t-shirts, magnets, etc. It would be great if you can put out some new apparel and accessories or other items. If you can.

The Summer weather just got Hot! Everyone try to stay Cool. Be Safe.
    Best Wishes Always,
    Bobby S.

    1. Yep, I have to agree – I have bought everything in the store already although I could do with a new lanyard and cap-I’ll be ordering them now, but come on girls, some new merch would be great!

  2. I’m patiently looking forward to the preorder announcement.

The button is a cool, but the real “thanks” is the wonderful music and videos you continue to produce. You guys are truly great!

  3. For a future themed Q & A suggestion, how about “All things related to the Duo Sessions”. Rick’s album creation theme sounds quite interesting too.

  4. There is so much effort and cost to put these projects/albums together for all of us. As has been mentioned, these projects are possible in part from donations from MLT Club Members.  I am pleased to have signed up for a modest monthly donation as a monthly renewal. On the donor form you can choose if you want to donate weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. This is an easy way to support Mona and Lisa that you may not be aware of for MLT Club Members to consider a modest monthly donation renewal if you have the ability to do so. To me, the MLT are so deserving and so very appreciative of the all of the kind gestures, gifts, donations and support.

  5. Awesome button. I love it how you’re always thinking of new things! Like Rick said, it’s our favorite Friday episode!
    Thank you!

  6. Greetings,
Thank you for the cheery video. It always brings a smile to my face.
You know, I really have been thinking of sending in a donation for a while now.
And now – I better not wait any longer – haha – Receiving one of those buttons/badges will be cool. It is a nice thank you ladies.

I love candy or anything sweet. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Kit Kat bars are two of my favorites. And yes, it’s good to put them in the fridge or freezer (especially in the summer when they might melt easily).

Just a little trivia, if I may –
A man named Harry Reese was working on a dairy farm, owned by Milton Hershey (the chocolate king), back in the 1920’s. In 1928 he had the idea of mixing Peanut Butter with chocolate in cups. He started his own company and the PB cups were originally called Penny Cups – cause they cost one cent (a penny).

    One more thing –
When I was a young boy, living on the Lower East Side of Manhattan (NYC), there was a Chunky candy factory only a few blocks from my home. It was milk chocolate with raisins & roasted peanuts (it was rather small, but good).
They would let us go inside to observe them making the candy. We would see some workers mixing up the chocolate with their hands (and back in those days no one wore gloves lol – but we survived).

Okay that is all for now. Take good care and have a fun weekend.
    Au Revoir,
    Bobby S.

  7. Hey girls I look at like this….Fridays is the MLT Show…it’s like watching TV and every week there’s another episode…we never know what’s next and that keeps me tuning in…I’ve never been disappointed….I love what you do…and THANK YOU for doing it ❤️????

  8. TGIF! Your faces really light up discussing the new album. Especially Mona’s when you are discussing all of the final planning, post production, and what not. Does she ever make power point productions for the band meetings? ????

I think we are all getting more excited each time you announce another song has been completed. Thank you for all of the updates. You have created a wonderful family of fans her and your interaction with us is very inspiring.

I hope your record company isn’t pressuring you to complete the album before it’s ready like in “Have A Cigar”
We’re just knocked out. We heard about the sell out.
You gotta get an album out,
You owe it to the people. We’re so happy we can hardly count.

Those badges look very kool. Stephen’s t-shirt idea is funny.

    p.s.
Peanut butter is one of the best foods ever created. I have been eating peanut butter sandwiches for lunch Monday-Friday for at least 20 yrs. Add a hot cup of coffee to that mix and, and that’s it. Simply delicious. Remember Lisa’s words,”We’re twenty-eight now. We can enjoy the finer thing in life.”

We are on Team-Freezer as far as peanut butter cups go.

  9. Hi ladies, really looking forward to the new album, the songs you have released so far are fantastic, so I’m sure the whole album will be amazing.

Just wondering if there’s still any thoughts of issuing it on vinyl as well as CD? I know it’s difficult at the moment with the pressing plants so backed up.

    Stay groovy!

  10. You both are so happy, and I know that makes all of us happy. The Best thing I have done in a long time has been to join the MLT Club!! You both and your family are just what I think all of us wish we had; I do have a great family but not a Musical family. All of you bring such joy to my life just being you! Amazingly enough your music radiates through my house constantly, so God Bless you both and thank you for just being you!!!! Stay Groovy!!!! Yes, the album, I can’t wait!! Love and Peace!! Oh, and I can eat a full big bag of Reese’s cups until the bag is empty, I love them!!

  11. Will there be a “I Helped the Mona Lisa Twins Make Their 3rd Album and All I Got Was This Groovy Tee-shirt” level? This is just a fun play on the “My Parents went to ________ and all I got was this lousy Tee-shirt” shirts sold at tourist destinations… probably decades ago at this point… Man, I’m old.

Looking forward to the new Album. Everything so far has been great.

  12. Hi Ladies,
Such exciting news about the new Album! I can’t wait until I have it in my hands. Anxiously wating to see behind the scenes of the new album.
What girl doesn’t like chocolate? And yes they are great in the Refrigerator. The wooden Roses are so sweet. You have very thoughtful and kind Fans from all over.
What a wonderful way to say thank you for special Donations. Very nice gesture.
    All the best Ladies,
    Rick Ross

PS I just thought of a great Q&A. How about answering questions about the making an Album? From the start to shipping it out. Everything that could happen. I’m sure everyone has amazing questions about the process.

  13. You have given us multiple hours of enjoyment with all that you do in the club and with your wonderful music. Just for the smiles you create every Friday makes the club the best deal in the universe. I donated as I see it as an honour and a privilege to help keep your music alive. Now, time for me to give a little extra to help with actual album production.
Thank you for all that you do and have done. You really do make a difference!
    All the best, always! 🙂

  14. So peanut butter beats vegemite, right?????. I will never forget (or stop laughing at) Mona’s statement on vegemite????????.

    1. I 100% agree! Mona’s reply was the best ever! Thanks Tim for reminding me of that as I am chuckling about it as I type.

  15. Hi ladies, that is awesome news about the new album. I can hardly wait, and the surprise of new songs on the album that we have not heard makes it even sweeter! Those buttons look ultra cool. Kudos to all who have donated! I can’t think of any more worthy cause than MLTs amazing music that makes the world a better place! ????????????

  16. I love this, and a Fab Donation-DonorBadge Idea /Concept and I just recently made a Belated Birthday Donation to you both ( I’m hoping it went through okay ) a few days ago, how appropriate is this video posting from you … !? …Wow, awesome Belated Bday Parcels, wish I could enjoy Reeves PB cups but with my severe nut allergies, I can’t , but more for you …lol… Thankyou for posting this #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Awesome 3rd Originals Album update, so excited of what’s coming , ????????

  17. Mona and Lisa, great way to kick into the weekend I always say!! And it is worth the wait on the new album, because we know how much effort and love you put into your music and god given crafts! Oh and I am a peanut butter and chocolate lover myself, we recently took a trip to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania and toured the chocolate factory to see how it is made and just loved every minute of it, I would recommend it to tour if one is given a chance. And I am and have been considering a donation to you as well, so hope to get that in soon. But love the Friday video’s and as Deidre Darnell mentioned, it is a joy to spend time with you both on Friday’s and you give so much to us club members, it is truly amazing. So enjoy the weekend and hope you both get a chance to relax a bit and looks like your in the home stretch for the new album.
God Bless and hugs from Me and Maddie

  18. Hmm, you mention that there will be no new music because we all wanted you to hold back some of your new music to surprise us with when your new album is finally released. And you are sincely apoogetic about it, which is appreciated, but ladies, you’ve given us so many hours of enjoyment with your current catalog that the release of a new album of your wonderful original music is just icing on the cake! Besides, and I cannot speak for all of your fans, but for me, your personality, the inter-action between the two of you, is just another wonderful element of The MonaLisa Twins that I love! I thought you’d also like to know that each cd that I burn to listen to has more and more of your original work over your tribute work!
    Dee

  19. One good thing about the slow post is that you get more presents every week! It seems to me that you both seem happier since your birthday. Maybe it’s because the end of album is near or you avoided Club 27, or even that you feel the love from your own interactive  community.  Regardless, supporting you both is one of the happiest things people can do and we all love your videos every week. You always come up with something new and unexpected every time!

  20. Mona and Lisa,
I was always led to believe that peanut butter was not popular in the UK. I used to work for a company that was owned by a British firm. When they sent some of their personnel over to the States, those guys had a distinct dislike of peanut butter. But I thought you girls would like it because you always get gifts of peanuts and chocolate and seem to enjoy them. Thank you for going the extra mile and opening my gift on camera.
Look for my donation within the next few days.
Lots of Groovy love for you…

  21. Mona and Lisa:

A very thoughtful gesture, thank you so much! We, as MLT Club members, know that you are in the homestretch of the album and the startup costs in manufacturing of the finished product must be enormous. You are so appreciative of everything which makes it easy to support your music.

Glad to hear that the progress towards your next masterpiece is moving onward and upward. It will be exciting to hear the album, in its entirety, upon completion.

    All the best!

  22. Great video with a perfect thank you gift. Looking forward to the what’s on the table or whatever you ladies come up with & the new album!!
