Beatles Spots Around Hamburg – Photos

Walking through Hamburg, taking in the city, learning about its Beatles’ and music history … the perfect city trip!

Here are a few pictures Michaela took while we were out and about filming for our “Hamburg Beatles Vlog” that we posted last week.  You will already recognize some of the locations from that video. Part 2 is in the making right now and we’ll try to get it ready by Friday.

Keep on keeping on and stay groovy!

  1. Wonderful photos! Nice to see Michaela and Papa Rudi in front of the lens too! It appears Mona is letting her natural hair color come out! Looks good! Is she planning on keeping it this way or is it just to give it a rest?

  2. It’s a pity that the world famous Star Club Hamburg does exist no more. The club closed on 31 December 1969 and the building it occupied was destroyed by a fire in 1987. (Wikipedia)

  3. Oh wow, that was great to see the photos from your trip, and another perspective of all the Beatles sights from the still shots. It’s nice how at places like the Kaiserkeller on the signs the Beatles are listed as just another band along with the many other bands that performed in the day before the Beatles rise to fame. Captures the feel of how things were back then when the Beatles were just starting out. Some super groovy shots of the both of you, especially the one where you are both standing there in front of that door with the pink pelican to the side. Gives a kind of John Lennon and George Harrison hanging out in the day feel, ultra-cool in your leathers! 🙂 That little massive telescopic pole Rudolf used to capture some of those video footages is brilliant! I thought he used a drone. 🙂 What perfect timing you were able to do all this filming in Hamburg before all the lock down. Really enjoyed seeing these, thanks so much for sharing these! 🙂 🙂

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed my vision stroll through the pix here that Michaela and you all took of Hamburg… Beatles district of history…. It’s always keen on how an area takes on Jeckyll & Hyde characteristics during day and night…. Different Vibes altogether…. Wow…. Definitely sight to quench one’s Beatles and music history thirst with, am glad you got to go and experience/explore it all before this ferocious ConVid-19 Virus went chaotic…. Thankyou for sharing, much enjoyed ?☮️
