In It For Love – Duo Session

“In It For Love” is a song we wrote for our 2017 album ORANGE now performed as a Duo Session.

We love re-visiting and performing songs we wrote some years ago. Especially if we haven’t played them in a while, it doesn’t feel much different to covering another artist’s song. You have to relearn the chords and look at old videos of yourself playing to figure out how something was done. The best feeling is when you find yourself going “dang, that’s a clever little bit”, haha.

There is an older Duo Session (from 2018) of this song in the Club already but we wanted to record it again to the best of our abilities and as clean as we can to be able to include it in another future Duo Session album (hint!). 🙂

We hope you enjoy the video ♥

  1. Shoutout to the wonderful “With a Little Help from my Friends” ending! Not mention the usual excellent harmonies from Mona and Lisa’s bouncy solo! Kudos…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  2. It’s taken me a while to get to listening to this and now I’m sorry I waited so long to do it. Superb work, better than what’s on Orange. Absolutely brilliant version.

  3. I watched this when you posted it and was wowed. I did a sneaky download from youtube and put it in the duo sessions folder(for which I did pay 🙂 ).
I’ve watched and watched and re-watched. Now It’s time to comment.
Firstly, Ive read all 107 comments so far and have to concur with all of them. The kids are all quite right.
Mona; you kinda have the back seat on this one; rhythm guitar and a pretty straight forward vocal part except for that last arpeggio (Whew!!!!). But you laid down a rock solid groove with that guitar like the damned fine drummer you are. Something that Lisa could easily dance on and she did. We bassists can hear that kind of stuff. 🙂 Likewise your vocals; pitch perfect with impeccable timing. Backing with brilliance that does not steal Lisa’s thunder but adds to it. Just the pro.
Lisa; just like so many of the other commentators here, I love your solo. For my ears, those nylon strings suit the song better than the electric ones on Orange. Your syncopation bouncing off Mona’s solid groove is subtle and swings. Sweet indeed. The little bass licks on the sixth and fifth strings in the chorus after the solo did not slip past me. So tasty! Were they something that you improvised? Did Papa Rudi Martin have a hand in that? Either way, while they are not loud at all, they jumped out at me on the first hearing. They are there on the 2018 and Orange versions but not so beautifully executed and nicely syncopated as you have it here. Your finger picking practice really is paying off and I am sure there is more to come from that. Everyone else here has already said anything I can say for your vocals. It’s a beautiful song and melody and you have done it more than justice.
You both (all) have good reason to feel well pleased with this recording. It’s my favourite recording of what is now officially my favourite MLT song.

Like good wine, you are most definitely improving with age and life is too short for drinking bad wine.

Roll on Duo Sessions Two! Let’s all get drunk on that. 😛

  4. One hundred percent beautiful. I can definitely identify with the ‘Dang, that’s a clever little bit’ concept. I’ve recently been reviewing, tidying and polishing my novel prior to publication, and there are bits of it that I wrote over a year ago. Quite a few times I’ve caught myself thinking, ‘Hey, this bit’s really good; I wonder who wrote it?’ 😁

  5. I could go on and on about how amazing these Duo Sessions are. But we already know that. That’s why we’re here. And that’s why we keep coming back. Mona and Lisa, you are simply awesome. Thank you for sharing your many talents.💛❤️

  6. We keep coming back here. Love the tempo and the guitar arrangement. Lisa’s solo is perfect. Those outro harmonies are to die for.

Bravo! This Duo Session is awesome!

    Marlo & JP

  7. Great new version ! This could be a Lovin´Spoonful song by John Sebastian. No wonder he likes you. Nice little guitar solo by Lisa !

  8. I first discovered the MonaLisa Twins by looking up Beatles tunes, and found their cover of “If I Fell.” After that I watched video after video, but “Morning Has Broken” sealed the deal for me, second verse when Mona comes in with the harmony, that just rattled my old soul, and I bought “Orange” right then and there.

This Due Session throws me back to that time, the harmonized vocals and slightly more stylized guitars reminding again, why I joined the MLT Club.

Mona and Lisa; stellar. One day I’ll come up with the words to express how much I appreciate how your passion and talent truly enhances my little existence on this rotating rock. Stay Groovy!

  9. LOVE this new version! Always been one of my favorites, especially lyrically! The finishing harmonies are AMAZING! Can’t wait for that new Duo Sessions album! 💕👩‍🎤🐌💕👩‍🎤🐓💕

  10. M & L,

Daryl said something that made me think of this related topic. People like to compare musicians & groups, often saying that so & so is much better than someone else. But there is no “Greatest” group, or guitarist or trumpeter for that matter. I prefer to enjoy listening to many different musicians & appreciating each one EQUALLY for what they do best!

How can you compare these musicians & say one is better than another? The Beatles, Beethoven, Louis Armstrong, Mozart, Rafael Mendez, Wings, Ella Fitzgerald, & on & on.
I love ALL of them, & many more! EACH is unique in Music History, and the best at what they do, or did!

I’ll watch a typical MLT video & think WOW! They’re the BEST at what they do in this style they’ve created! You can’t improve on that! And I still listen to all the other Music I enjoy, and there’s nothing wrong with loving it all for what it is! In other words, you can’t replace the Beatles with Mozart, or vice versa! Each one is so important!

Here’s another person, who like Tommy Emmanuel was incredible on Guitar, AND vocals! But I don’t prefer one over the other. Check out “Willie K,” or “Uncle Willie” from Hawaii! I bought a CD of his 10 years ago, then looked him up on YouTube. I was so sorry to hear that he passed on, 3 years ago. You have to watch this from start to finish to get the whole impact of his performance, with the audience in the palm of his hand! —

    1. Totally agree. There is not really a best of anything as everybody (hopefully) has different thoughts, ideas, feelings and so on about things.

There is no point trying to be the best, just be the best that you can be.

  11. The new version is awesome. It’s quite obvious how much you both enjoy this song. Your smiles are so contagious. I think your voices sound a little bit more mature on this, especially the outro harmonies. (You are older, nearly thirty, so naturally your voices have matured? Thank you, Captain Obvious) To improve upon perfection is quite a feat, but The MonaLisa Twins keep raising the bar. Bravo, ladies! Another amazing Duo Session in the can. How many more for a CD?

    Marlo & JP ☕️☕️

  12. Beautiful song, beautiful voices, beautiful harmonies, beautiful solo Lisa and this song is very romantic, I love it, Merci pour cette jolie chanson.

  13. A cute song, well arranged as always, well played as always, and well sung, as always. LUV it. as always! XOXO

  14. Simply brilliant! Heavenly harmonies, sweet, sweet melody, and wonderful guitar work – a perfect gem to include on the hinted at new duo sessions album! I’ve listened several times and the ending gives me pure bliss.

  15. Wow, what a performance!
Still one of my favourite ORANGE songs – looking forward to listening to this on the next Duo Sessions album 😉

  16. MLT original songs generally have at least something of the Mersey Beat style about them – and this one has it in spades. It’s not hard to imagine four young gentlemen in sharp-tailored suits providing the backing!
It’s great that the Mersey Beat style lives on in this way, as a live-to-camera performance of new, original material.

  17. Today’s Duo Session of In It For Love underscores just what a brilliant repertoire of works you’ve accumulated in this library of acoustic performances. Your amazing harmonies and stellar guitar work caress many great classics and your own originals here creating some of the most sublime and moving moments I’ve ever heard. It’s like a gallery of masterpiece artworks in the form of music performances.

The Duo Session album is a masterpiece of works in it’s own right showcasing your brilliant vocals and musicianship that is the best in music today bar none, and now Duo Session album 2 is on it’s way! Great times in the MLT music world. 🎈💛❤🎶✨

  18. All MLT music sounds good. But the special magic happens when the harmonies begin. Mona and Lisa, I was wondering if you could explain and demonstrate how you work out and perform the harmonies? Perhaps a series of ‘MLT Masterclasses’ could take us through such topics as lyric writing, ukulele playing, harmonies etc

      1. Hi Lisa,

Richard has a great idea! I would also like to hear how you work on your vocals! And thanks for responding here and there to us fans! We enjoy it, and it makes us feel special! I’m looking forward to seeing yours and Mona’s new video this Friday! Keep up the good work, you are both AWESOME as usual!

        Ciao for now! — Bud

  19. For all you aspiring Guitarists, here’s something:

I’m nowhere near as good on guitar as Mona & Lisa. I’ve been playing a long time for these reasons. It’s fun, & I like learning more chords & scales to accompany my singing. Also, it’s very useful for teaching songs to my students. I retired from teaching Music 2 years ago, but I still like to substitute teach. I got back from Hawaii a few days ago & practiced hard to get ready for my first job, which was today. It was SO MUCH FUN, playing & singing with, & for those 5 classes of 2nd thru 5th graders! Nothing like having fun working, teaching AND enjoying bringing my guitar to work!

In the 5th grade Challenge Class, there were TWO sets of TWINS! Two boys & two girls!
And all super nice & engaged kids! They knew all the words to “La Bamba,” because they sang it in a concert last year!

Then in the 4th grade class was a little boy who said he had a guitar at home. I let him come up front & play my acoustic guitar, & he did a song by the Grunge group “Mud Honey!” I SO much enjoy inspiring the kids & getting them more interested in Music!
Of course, I played a few bits from M & L’s “WHY” CD too! I played & sang a few Spanish songs, a Civil Rights song, & part of “Nowhere Man” ’cause we were running out of time.
I also guided them thru vocal warm-ups, rhythm practice, & some drumming & percussion with our songs.

I’ve taken Guitar lessons, & taught Guitar classes, along with classes in Band, Strings, Jazz Band, Piano, Singing, Drumming & Marimba. I’m not trying to brag at all. I’m just glad I made the decision long ago to teach Music! And I’m still trying to improve, while enjoying watching Lisa & Mona do their thing that they do SO WELL!

    1. Hey Bud, I have the highest regard for school music teachers. Some of my earliest and fondest music experiences was in elementary school music class. What you do can leave a life time beautiful impression on these kids, like my grade 5 music teacher had on me.

      1. Thanks Jung, and you’re so right about the earliest experiences kids can have with teachers. In Music classes, students learn self-discipline, how to practice individually, & as a team. Then performances are the final test of all the work done, which builds self-confidence. I had several middle school students from the 90’s who are professional musicians!

And it was very cool seeing Mona & Lisa in that school Drum performance video!

    2. I play for much the same reasons, and nope, I’m not a great player. But every day a new song gets added to my play list. I’m a rocker at heart, but I don’t perform much in the way of rock songs as I’m just a solo type player (not as in David Gilmour solo haha) and only do small live gatherings by myself. Typically e-acoustic and my beloved PRS Hollowbody Piezo. Older easy listening stuff that lends well to a single performer/singer. Never taught music, that’s way above my pay grade, but played piano (RCM classical grade 8) for years as a younger guy. A few keys in a garage band in my late teens, and then took up guitar some 20 years ago. Now in my mid 60’s I play and sing simply for the joy of it.

      1. Hey Daryl,

Thanks for your comments! There are millions of guitarists out there, & very few really good ones, but that shouldn’t stop anyone from trying! You don’t have to be the BEST at everything, just as long as you get some enjoyment out of it. Most of my students aren’t going to be professional players, but playing, listening & improving is enough to bring more JOY into our lives! It just feels GOOD!
Good on you for your Music involvement! I’m sure you’re much better than you give yourself credit for! — Take care & keep on ROCKIN!’ — Bud

      2. Thanks Bud, I appreciate the boost! All 3 of my Aunts on Dad’s side were piano teachers, as was my Grandmother. I started playing because naturally, I wanted to follow the family plan. Dad never taught, but was a terrific player. But me being the rebellious 60’s era growing up child, soon tired of the long hair stuff and the quest for R&R took over. My high school music took me into stage/jazz band gigs (played a trombone) as well as concert band which even furthered my interest in the more popular genres of the day. But not having the funds for electric keys and amps (Jr hockey was far more important then) I left music behind for a long time and focused on a real working career. Why I never picked up a guitar back then I’ll never know. But there is the now and retirement has me playing every day if only to noodle for a while sometimes.
I’m currently working at formulating (I wouldn’t consider it “writing”) some blues riffs and love watching the way Mona and Lisa put their works together. So special that they have found their own way in music and their original work is simply astounding to me. The girls are truly a cut above.

      3. Daryl,

You’re welcome! I guess us Music types gravitate towards the MLT’s & other musicians as a way to inspire us to do more! I had 2 aunts & a grandmother (who died way to young) that played Piano well! My dad played Trombone in high school, but became a Dancer & Dance Teacher, like my mom. They really supported my musicianship! I still teach some & play trumpet in a Big Band. And I like to hike!

I had to choose between horseback riding lessons & music, so I chose music!

Retired people who end up sitting & doing nothing put themselves at risk for poor health. So it’s good that we still play Music & are involved in life!

Just as the Beatles, I enjoy Mona & Lisa’s personalities & joy in what they do! They communicate with their listeners, even without saying a word! But I like to hear them talk, & joke around too!

Cheers, & Happy Playing! — Bud

      4. Sitting still isn’t my bag at all. Always been a very active sort while younger than now. Hockey, baseball, all manners of physical activity really. Lifetime devotion to martial arts and I’ve taught for over 3 decades in multiple disciplines. Both my wife and I together run a karate dojo, her being the senior in rank (rare in the m/a world), but I’ve always been the one with the broken bones and lost training time in recovery thanks to my other activities. Now at 65 my “war wounds” are coming back to haunt me somewhat. Arthritis in my ankles and knees, and I am dealing with carpal issues in both wrists, but far worse in my left so that is a detriment to the fretboard. So far I have managed to avoid surgery but I know it’s coming. I still race motorcycles but I haven’t crashed significantly hard enough to damage myself too badly (yet anyway).

  20. M & L, I just listened to your 2018 version of this song, AND this new version several times each. The older one is very good, nothing wrong with it. Comparing them, it’s mostly the sophistication of the filming & recording techniques that have improved. The old version has an open room almost echo to it, but a little one dimensional. The new version has a more refined warmth to the sound; like we are sitting next to you listening and watching! The various camera angles & close ups are wonderful! For both of you, your playing & singing are better with all your experience, yet I still like comparing the two recordings, which are both excellent! And IF it’s possible, you are BOTH even more beautiful as you age! (Of course, you’re both still so very young!)

Thanks for all the wonderful Music you are producing! — Bud

  21. And I’m into loving everything the two of you do! This has always been among my favorites of all your original songs so this is a very special treat. Yes, if I am counting right, this should make enough Duo Sessions since the last album to make #2! Yea!!!

  22. This song could’ve been on the easy listening charts back in the day. It has a cool jazz sound to it. Lisa your solo is really nice. Mona, I love watching you play coz I’m learning to play rhythm. I always get a kick how you guys make eye contact several times as you are performing. Like saying, “hey we got this.” Can’t wait til the next Duo is out. Peace be.

  23. Beautiful song, I love it. ❤️❤️❤️
It’s one of my favorite M&L songs.
    Awesome version.
    Bobby S. 😎🧛‍♂️

  24. I think duo sessions are the absolute best just pure talent on display, I love Lisa’s lead vocals an incredible voice and her superb guitar work, Mona I think is the strength with the harmonies and can just blend the voices so well as with her rhythm guitar which just drive’s the song along, of course there are songs where Mona sings wonderfully on lead but I think these girls know exactly where their strengths are to get the best out of a song

  25. Hi Mona & Lisa,

I loved your song; very well done! (I also got “nonce invalid” this morning before I left for work. Tim & Rick here had the same problem. I had no idea what that meant, so I looked it up. But it still doesn’t make sense! I couldn’t post my comments, so I’ll try again.)

I agree w/everyone’s comments. I just wanna say that it’s great hearing you play a jazzy swing tune! I’d like to see you do a Gypsy Jazz-Style song, like that example you posted of the song you learned years ago in the class you took. You both have a very good feel for swing, & I dug Lisa’s swingin’ guitar solo! Beautiful melody, lyrics & harmonies — right on! That would be a great acoustic jazz number for any group! It could be a Jazz Standard some day! I love your variety of styles, & this song is another great contribution to your repertoire!

    — Bud

  26. Goosebumps! Those are some heavenly harmonies!
All the songwriting, going back to the first album is unwaveringly brilliant.
Seems like DS2 is right around the corner!
Thank you for this slice of heaven!

  27. The final harmony is Devine!! I really love this song. Mona you play fantastic rhythm guitar and Lisa your fingerpicking is precise and full of feeling! Thx again for the Friday smiles and have a great weekend!

  28. This studio Duo Session version sounds amazing, your vocals and harmonies are oh so sweet and beautiful. Absolutely love it. The guitar work is superb, your finger picking flourishes are awesome Lisa as is Mona’s rhythm.

The first Duo Session album was great, and I am so happy to hear there will be a second one. Can’t wait.

    1. As always, you are spot-on, Jung. Since “In It For Love” is on the Orange album, which I always listen to on the way to the ballpark, may I add this side note:

Congratulations to the Vancouver Canadians, who won the Northwest League championship on Sunday. The Canadians are the Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, so I am certain that several of those players will be playing first for the Buffalo Bisons and then for the Toronto Blue Jays.

      Kudos to Vancouver!!!

      1. Hi Christopher. Thanks, and I heard on the radio about the Vancouver Canadians winning the championships. It’s a good thing, we will take and celebrate it to make up for the Canucks Hockey team that have never won the Stanley Cup. HAHAHA. Hope you are well.
        Best
        Jung

      2. I’m hoping that The Ottawa Sens can win the the Stanely Cup….in their present resurrection as they had won it back in the early 1900s , around 1905-1910 -ish I think was,
Now that there’s a new inaugural National Professional Women’s Hockey Team established, I am hoping, eventually they can win the Stanley Cup or an equal version of it ….😉🙃🍁🇨🇦🏒🏆🏅

      3. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, New York, Boston, and Minnesota: The Women’s Professional Hockey League “Original Six”. Marie-Philip Poulin was the first free agent signed by the Montreal franchise. Best of luck to the new league!

      4. That would be a great match up Jackie, Vancouver Canucks vs Ottawa Senators in a Stanley Cup Finals series. A team that has never won, and a team that hasn’t won in over a hundred years. Would be an epic national west versus east show down.

  29. I loved this song the first time from the Orange Album in 2018. This time, as a total acoustic version seems a little more laid back or unplugged. The duel guitars and your beautiful voices make the song incredible whether it’s played by an orchestra or just two guitars and two pretty ladies.

  30. One of my top favorite songs, top duo session songs, and now my very favorite duo do over song. I am “in it for love” because what else do you have when you are my age? Nothing much matters… things don’t matter, money doesn’t matter beyond having the necessities, travel is nice, but not important. I just don’t care much about anything anymore, but I sure do enjoy your music. But, that’s really in the “love” category. 😊
Great, great, great… awesome duo session! 👏👏👏👏💛❤️

  31. WOW!! That was Fantastic!! Love seeing those smiling faces, hearing those incredible harmonies.Have always loved this song. Thanks again for getting my weekend off to a Groovy start.Lisa’s guitar playing on this is dare I say it FAB!!
Can’t wait for a new Duo Sessions CD,I play the first one all the time when I’m traveling in the car.

    Love & Hugs💛💓

    Tom

  32. One of my favorite songs on the Orange CD. Lisa and Mona both can play🎸 really well and their singing🎤 is second to none! Love the outfits!👭

  33. BRAVO! The finish is superb. The Duo Sessions & in studio songs and videos are the Best!
In the words of the great James Taylor:

Like a page in a romance book
    The sky opened up
    And the earth shook

Still in love with the MonaLisa Twins

  34. I think I have figured out your girls secret… you take every song that you choose to record…. And you become the song… the expressions in your eyes ,your smiles and your voice. You add a whole other dimension to the music…. I’ve been in the MLT club for just a year now. Some of the music that I grew up with in the 60’s has a different meaning to me today. I hear the words that you sing…. I think there’s a difference between hearing…. And actually listening. Thank you

  35. I don’t think there’s one song MLTs have done that doesn’t just cut right to the heart. Pure rich sound quality, well recorded instruments, exquisite videography and that unforgettable vocal harmony is something I’ve gotten used to with all your work 🙂 If I’m ever in a bad mood, I just listen to this music and – woosh – that mood is gone!

  36. The duo sessions are always some of my favorite recordings, especially your originals. I think it really showcases your beautiful melodies. I remember this song from the Christmas livestream and later when I got the Orange album. It’s a beautiful song. I too like the outfits, especially Mona’s overalls, maybe off to do some gardening after the sessions. I hope you have a great weekend, thank you for the music.

  37. Well okay it worked…been messing with this “nonce is invalid” since 6:15 this morning….I wanted to tell you girls this version is so much better than the first attempt..it really sounds so much like the ORANGE original….Lisa your finger picking is truly exceptional….I do have a story to tell concerning the line in your song “ I’m into something good”…my dad passed in 1963…The Beatles came in 1964 and Mom asks “you call that music”..music is Blue Eyes (Frank Sinatra)…by 1965 Mom has joined a Pen Pal Club…a man sends her his picture…all of a sudden Mom is singing along to Herman’s Hermits “I’m Into Something Good” and all was right in the world…they were together ever since until he passed in 2003….so every time I hear this song it brings back those memories from so long ago….Mom finally passed on in August 2021 at age 91….darn it I’m tearing up just thinking about it…..as always I Love What You Girls Do and Thank You for doing it…you bring so much joy to us MLT Clubbers❤️🧡

    1. I also had the “Nonce Invalid” message and looked it up. I tried the basic workarounds but they failed, so I messaged the Twins. The problem went away soon and I didn’t worry about it. The Twins responded later that Papa Rudi quickly worked around the weird problem – Papa Rudi is a man with many hats and he does them all so well. Thanks Rudi!

  38. I’m in it for love too. I’ve always loved this song. And loved Duo Sessions. This is the next best thing to being there. And every bit of clever.

There’s something about this that looks even more “live” to me. I’m not sure what it is. I don’t feel like I’m in the front row, I feel like I’m on the stage with you

The Martin and the Cordoba are so great together. I just listened to the Orange version of this, and the rhythm guitar is there and the bass is too. The Martin takes care of both here. And the Cordoba is great for the high end. The combination of those two really works. If this is the new Duo you, wow. So awesome. I can’t wait for that next album. Thanks.

  39. From the first time I heard this song, it reminded me of some of the great pre-rock vocal groups like the Andrews Sisters and the McGuire Sisters. I can picture my mom happily swaying to it. This track and No More Worries Company both capture the essence of a very long ago era, making the Orange album truly timeless.

  40. You certainly are in it for love! It shows in everything you do on MLT, and it makes my Friday a little brighter.

Great harmony and some nice fingerpicking. Gonna be a great new album – one more song? Two more?

  41. Hi girls, Just want to say that no matter how you sing this song, it’s always a beautiful sound. It only took me about four years to figure out It was my favorite song from the orange album.I couldn’t figure out what it was that you were into and that You were in for love and I reached out to you in the club twice to find out what it was and couldn’t seem to find an answer. 1 day I decided to email you and that Friday. The club wire that was an episode 2 of Q&A about the orange album, and you spent more time talking about the shortest song on the album then you did talking about any other song that day. It doesn’t matter to me Which way you play this song,it’ll always be a favorite of mine.

  42. That was finger pickin’ good! (OK, I apologize but I just had to…)
Seriously though that was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much!
Looking forward to the new album. 🙂

  43. I love this performance of a great song from your “Orange” album. I would say very much improved over the earlier version you had posted in 2018. I’m definitely looking forward to another Duo Sessions album whenever it appears.

  44. I’m in the club for love! You gals keep getting better and better! Love the last harmony! Gave me goosebumps! Can’t wait for the new duo sessions cd!

  45. gorgeous! I absolutely love this song, and I have listened to the SATB version many many times. I agree that this is a cleaner version, which sounds slightly different from the older one. I love them both! great job as always!

  46. This song as presented is such a joy! Wonderful lead singing and harmonies. Lisa’s guitar work is top notch and pure art. One of my favorites off of Orange.
I’ve never had a bad Friday since I joined this club. That’s the truth. Love to you both.

  47. Well that was a surprise Ladies, This duo session sounde great, One cab hear the joy you had with is, I even thought i heared sme smiles. The session sounds a bit different then the earlier one, is that because of another guitar from Lisa or is it the fingerpicking , or maybe both?
Once again the two of You made my week, Ia am so glad I joinedt the Mlt club!!!
Another compliment for the way you pick your clothes, in some way You allways seem to pick the right clothing to match with Your sessions.
Greetings to Michaele and papa Rudy

  48. Love this new version, so fresh. Great singing as always with some lovely guitar work by Lisa. Funny to think you approach it as if its from another artist! Also enjoyed the matching flowery outfits which adds to the songs breezy feeling! Sounds like the new album is going to have some great tracks.

  49. Hello Ladies,
In It For Love sounds better than ever. I’m so glad Lisa dropped the pic and used her nails for this one. It gives it that more intimate feel. In It For Love can really be said about all aspects of your music and business. It’s not really work when you’re doing something you love. And, really how many people get to say that on a daily basis. We are truly blessed to get to see and hear you all really enjoying what you do. It’s always good to revisit earlier work and see just how far you’ve come. Alone is a perfect example. Many of us have been asking for sometime to revisit Alone and give it an update. And look what happened when you did…. An immediate sensation among all of your fans. I think you both enjoyed it a bit too. 😊 😉 . Thanks Ladies for a very special visit to I’m In It For Love.
    Best always Rick Ross
Big shout out to Michaela and Rudi. Thanks for all you do behind the scenes.

    1. From one Rick to another….I’d like to see a couple more songs get revisited from their family album in 2007 and be placed on the upcoming… hopefully eventually Beatles and More vol 4…full instrumentation …ALL MY LOVIN’ (Beatles)….HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN (Animals)…MR TAMBOURINE MAN (Bob Dylan ..The Byrds)…LOVE IS ALL AROUND (Troggs)….they actually have a lot on that album that could be reworked with their 16 years of improved musicianship and adult voices….it would really be something special !

      1. I totally agree on revisiting more of these songs. I personally would love to see a redo of “Wonderful Tonight”. It blows me away that a 13 year old could sing that song that well, and Michella was great on the sax. It was a preview of just how good the Twins would become.

  50. WOW! Mona and Lisa I know I always say this and I am sure club members agree….your blend and harmony of your sweet voices is heaven! This song like many others show cases your lovely voices and perfect timing of guitar riffs and the steady rhythm playing is off the charts. YES This is one of my favorites off the Orange album. I am excited because if and when you do put out the next duo sessions album, I want to be the first kid on my block to order!! LOL…And I know that album will be filled with so many great songs. As I mentioned also before I love watching you both sing and perform together , I see the love you both have for each other and your not just singing your putting you love into the song and love how you both play off each other with a smile or just knowing what the other one is doing, to me that is perfection 100%. My god what a lovely way to start our Friday and weekend with this beautiful song….THANK YOU!!
God Bless and hugs and love from me and Maddie Huge HUGE fans from Pittsburgh PA USA

  51. Now that was lovely to awaken to see/hear, this morning , and though barely awake, I was singing along with you, the sunshine full blast coming through mybedroom window , Fab Friday Bluss, I love the Floral Coordination of tops ,too, it all just adds and creates the perfect momenrum/atmosphere/ambiance to this song .

Each time you’ve sung it , no matter when/where , it truly resonates , eminates and smiles of Positivity and Feel Goods just cast out…. Tha know and Kudos for once again, taking this song to yet an even more depth of musical interpretation… Hmm ….I’m loving the hint of another Duo Sessions Album …Yeppers, All is Awesome on that, and this session shared today….Smiling Now Becoming More Awakening Jacki here ….🤘😎😊😉

  52. You Ladies always sound so beautiful when you are harmonizing!!! I am so happy to belong to the MLT club. You make my day, every day!!! What about doing a Duo song once a week and releasing it the tube? More people would watch and listen. A new Duo album, very cool!!!!!
    Stay Groovy!!!

  53. One of my favorite MonaLisa Twins originals from the awesome Orange album. It clearly is evident that you love doing “In It For Love”. Always enjoy whenever you present it; whether it was on the Christmas Livestream, the radio show promoting Orange, or in this formal Duo Session.

This song and “Two of Us” go together as signature trademark songs for MLT. Thank you for a wonderful performance!

  54. I am always in awe of Lisa’s guitar picking whilst singing at the same time. Well done. This seems so new it’s obvious the song suits the duo sessions.
