  1. A few weeks ago, our CD arrived and we’ve listened to it sooo many times – got a different earworm almost every day 🙂 I can only agree to all the praise here. Thanks for filling our lives with great music full of heart and wit and fun!

  2. Thank you, Mona & Lisa!

I worried when my package hadn’t arrived for a few weeks. Then it finally made it here last night before I left for my Band rehearsal! THANK YOU SO MUCH for Signing ALL 12 of your CDs, the Notebook and the 2024 Calendar, plus writing a personal message on the Calendar!

That is so Kind of you Both to take the time and effort to sign all these treasures for your Fans! I’m working as a Music Sub this week and donating my time to help out Beginning Band. Otherwise, I would have emailed you sooner!

Thank you for all your effort, & for your wonderful “NOW & THEN” video recording! You definitely have the Golden Loving Touch! YOU BOTH ROCK!!

    — Bud

  3. Guess what arrived for my birthday yesterday? And SIGNED, no less! I just wanted to say to you both that Duo Sessions II is a delight. I purposely waited until the CD showed up, refusing to stream it, until I had heard the physical CD itself in my car. And it definitely did not disappoint. I think my favorite cut so far is “Catch the Wind” — I’ve always admired this song, but I really enjoy your take on it, and as usual, listening to the MLT version is like receiving a tutorial on how to play and sing it! My small private care home audiences will love it, I’m sure! Proud to be a MLT supporter in the north SF Bay!

  4. Today as I walked out to check the mail, I had the feeling my Duo II and merch package would be there. And it was. It takes a bit longer to get to flyover country.

But the wait was worth it. Very awesome treasure trove of artistry. Many thanks!

  5. I’m listening again while doing some other work on the PC. Really outstanding collection, loving Sugar Man at the moment. That’s a great song.

  6. Just got my Duo2 parcel! Warmest thanks for personalizing our calendars! 😉🐌🐓 The CD is going to work with me and will be set on repeat!

  7. I’ve only just received my bundle today, but how come Thomas already got his from across the pond, when the package is posted from M40 Manchester and I’m in M41 Manchester? ha ha ha. But coincidentally I was going to make similar comments to Allan’s below, so I totally agree with him. And listening to the Sound of Silence made me look back to the brilliant haunting version by Disturbed from 2016 on YouTube.

  8. I’ve listened to the CD now and its really good, even better than Duo I. If I have to pick my favourite songs they are Sound of Silence, Vincent, Alone, Count on Me and Teach Your Children – who knew Papa Rudi could sing so well! Of course the whole album is really well sung and played. Great album.

  9. Triple harmony – what a bonus! The three of you sound so good together.

I look forward to the Wagner Family album 😉

      1. I saw Graham Nash perform in Bath, UK in September. Naturally, they sang Teach Your Children and Bus Stop 🙂 He was on a short UK leg of a Worldwide tour. I checked, and they didn’t visit the North West, although the tour still continues. Much of the tour was in the US, so look out all of you American MTL Club devotees 🙂

The Graham Nash tour definitely needs the Mona Lisa Rudi Trio as their support band.:) 🙂

  10. Was the song I Should Have Known Better available in the club before this. It seems like I’ve heard it on the surprise jukebox but I could be wrong. I always liked the Beatles version and of course you girls do a fabulous job. Great track.

      1. Thanks David, I tried an ingenious procedure and typed the song name into the search bar and wala, there’s the video. Turns out I have watched it before and even left a comment. It’s a really good tune.

      2. Actually, Tim, I had also forgotten that they had released this song before. But eventually I remembered their subtitle for the video, “Whouohu, I …..”, and I laughed in recognition.

My first Beatles experience was watching the Hard Day’s Night film on video, and I Should Have Known Better and If I Fell were the songs that initiated my own personal Beatlemania. And of course, Mona and Lisa knock both of them out of the park.

      3. Yeah David, I couldn’t find the video on YouTube but was sure I had heard it. It’s one of my favorites from the Beatles early albums. Those MLT harmonies do make it fresh and fun.

      4. I think you’re right David, it’s also a little switcheroo with Mona playing and singing lead and Lisa playing the harmonica, so talented.

  11. Sublime…I don’t know how else to praise you dear girls. “Teach You Childrem is an early Christmas gift, brilliant performance by “Mona,Lisa&Rudi” (I’ve listened it dozens of times ). So I have to say that I’m looking forward to seeing the vdeo of this song and hear some song by “Mona,Lisa,Rudi&Michaela” and already waiting for “The Duo Sessions lll”.

  12. WOW, I have just listened to the CD, it is brillant, beautiful, charming, cool, wonderful, amazing, when I will receive it, I will play it again and again. This is the best album of the year. Merci, mon coeur est rempli de bonheur.

  13. So brilliant. So Twins. Like all your music, the more I listen to it, the more I love it. So joyful and pure. Pulls me between smiles, laughs, nostalgia and just tearing up.

And it has no sell by date. It will always be fresh and new; like all the times I’ve played your other songs, I’ll never tire of it. So special. Thank you so much!

  14. Papa Rudi’s deep voice on Teach Your Children enhances Mona and Lisa’s sweet voices like something we’ve never heard before. Amazing how clear they sound and the range they have. I could use more of this.

  15. “Teach Your Children” was the only Duo Session song that we hadn’t had a chance to hear yet was and I loved it! I don’t think I’ve heard Papa Rudi’s voice up front since the first concert – you guys need to do this more often. If I were an alien I’d give it three thumbs up!

“Teach Your Children” seems to be a very fitting song for the Wagners. How about doing a full family song in the future???

  16. I remember a while back, thinking about your beautiful singing, and wondering if Papa Rudi would ever sing with you. I know, all musicians can sing some, but I was thinking he probably was a good singer since you two are so gifted. Then I saw him on a video from the early days, playing guitar and singing. I don’t remember what song that was.. But that was great to see him singing with you, and now it’s great that it’s happened again.

I think your Papa taught his children well, like they say in the song. And it’s not the first time I’ve thought that. It’s so wonderful that you get to work together, all of you, as a family, and Teach Your Children is a perfect song for remembering that.

  17. I may have commented before, but you guys never cease to amaze me. Three part harmonies w/Pa Rudy on Teach Your Children gave me goose bumps. And he did teach his children well. But now, like the kid that get enough candy, please do one with Ms. Michaela on the sax. I can’t decide which song I like best. But Alone is up there not only because it is a beautiful song, but coz it was written when you guys were kids. Amazing. And Stuck in the Middle – love that Tele twang. This is the type album I will put the headphones on and just kick back in the lounge. I can’ wait for it to arrive. Kudos. Peace be.

    1. I’m intrigued by the idea of other songs having expanded instrumentation. Mona and Lisa, plus Rudi on Hammond B3, and Michaela on saxophone. Maybe a little Rn’B, which I would love. But whatever it might be, it would be as much of a surprise as Teach Your Children.

  18. Okdokey…. I’ve thoroughly have listened with such stoked full Throttled #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Enthusism and right off the bat, I’m gonna say that Trio Take on ” Teach Your Children ” was a Bonafide Keeper and just was waiting to be sung by Papa Rudi, Mona & Lisa, yeppers had their input to cover it as a Trio, Unequivocally …..

Now for my thoughts on whole of this collection of Epicness in its own Vibrancy of Vividness …

For /To me it’s a Quilt/Comforter of Soothing , Calming, of Musicianship and etc that Embraces, Enraptured, Provides Warmth of Contentment and Security and Serenity of Seasonal Tranquility Throughout One’s Odyssey Life Quest … Unequivocally Balanced Intertwiningly, Interwoven. Each giving layers, to Collectively Strengthen it’s Effort of Creative Heart that was respectfully, Reflectivity, Embedded into this Quilt with utmost care , to be a gift and enjoyed by all …. Thankyou and Kudos for having done up this edition of Continuation of Duo Sessions … It’s a Gift Truly that Eminates /Resonates to/for All …💜🤘🏻🫶✌️💯💣💥😊

  19. A couple of my favorite songs ever … beautifully juxtaposed on this album.
    Sound of Silence and Vincent.
Thank you for these and the rest of the music. Looking forward to the CDs!

… and I somehow didn’t scroll forward … Teach Your Children … wow.

  20. Talent has no end in this family! Papa Rudi can hold his own in the harmonies department, Who knew??

      1. I knew he could write and arrange and so on, I did not know he could sing that well. All four of them are huge talents!

  21. So happy to be able to listen to this, I was looking forward to the “Trio Session”. Teach Your Children has always been a favorite of mine. Back in 1978, I was 10 yrs old, I was staying at my grandparents house (family troubles) and I was given the cassette of the Melody movie soundtrack. I loved that cassette and was always borrowing the “boombox” to play it. Three songs of that album are all time favorites: Melody Fair, To Love Somebody and Teach Your Children. I’ve always associated Teach with the Bee Gees because of that.
Rudolf taking lead on it is an extra cherry on the top. 👱‍♀️👨👩‍🦰 Can’t wait for the video.
Also a new original is such a treat!
Another truly great album from start to finish.
    Thank you!

  22. WooHoo….now it’s working… okay, going to listen to Teach Your Children first …. will comment again on the whole CD , once I’ve thoroughly listened to whole thing, now that I’m able to access to listen now …. my phone/tablet can be fussyfinnickys …. at the most inopportune times …..🙃😉

  23. Arrrggghhhh… I cannot unfortunately get it to download to listen to .. This makes sad …. Not sure why, but I’ll keep trying on both my Android phone/tablet …. 😭😢☹️😔

      1. Rick, I’ve watched the video so many times in the club I just expect to hear the recap at the end, Lol.

  24. Enjoyed listening to the new Duo Sessions! It was great to hear Teach your Children with the special guest. So cool! Duo Session I is one of my favorites and I listen to it all the time. I’m so glad you’ve released a second one. I’ve preordered it with the Writer’s Bundle. I’ll look forward to listening to it all the time, too. 😉 Great work!

    1. Thank you so much Brenda and WELCOME to the Club ♥ Hope your order arrives soon, parcels are going out already 🙂

  25. WOW WOW WOW❤️absolutely stunning…Papa Rudi I’m guessing arranged the order of each song and they do flow nicely from one to the next….I listened with my ear pods on and it’s amazing how you can hear and differentiate between each note and it also brings out the sounds from the tapping of the wazinator…it’s truly a remarkable album….my favorite song on the album is ALONE…it shows just how much songwriting talent you have when you come up with ALONE at age 12 or 13…you all ( that includes you Papa Rudi) are musicians extraordinare !!!

  26. Absolutely wonderful, fantastic and every other accolade one can say. This is the best thing I’ve ever heard and I’ve been around awhile (67 years soon)

  27. I couldn’t wait until I received my CD in the mail. I had to listen to this album right away! The songs are all great, but I especially like Teach your Children! I have loved that song ever since it came out so many years ago. Brilliant job!

  28. 👍👱‍♀️👩‍🦰 I am a big fan of everything you play🎸🎤 in Duo Sessions! I love to watch the videos and listen with my AKG headphones. Some of my favorites are “Wish You Were Here”, What Have They Done To My Song Ma” and “Catch The Wind”. I haven’t seen one that I don’t like! I love playing both parts of “Wish You Were Here” myself.

  30. Mona & Lisa,

I just finished listening to your “Duo Sessions II” download, & I’m listening a second time! I have to say that you both have great taste in Music, & I love the variety you’ve presented here. Nicely, nicely done once again! I also like your choice of song sequencing on your recording. And your Originals stand up equally well in quality with all the Classic song covers you’ve chosen to perform!

You started off at a high level of musicianship as teenagers, (with MUCH practice I’m sure,) which got you both off to a roaring start! It’s inspiring to see how you’ve gotten so much more polished & confident in your songwriting, singing & instrumental skills!

If you ever have your own kids & teach them to love Music as your dad has for you both, I would LOVE to be at THAT Family Concert! (And I hope I can see you “live” before then!) Also, Rudi did a fine job of singing & blending in perfectly with you two!

Every song you’ve crafted here is so wonderful that I just can’t pick a favorite! (I’m finishing up listening now a 2nd time through.) This CD is pure listening pleasure! You are definitely on a roll, so keep on rollin’ along!

Superb effort and top-notch results! You are truly the “Toppermost of the Poppermost!”
You are also the “Propermost of ladies & human beings!

    THANK YOU! — Bud Jackson

      1. Thanks Lisa!

It’s always great to hear back from you, knowing that you’re so busy working on your next song. I really enjoy your MLT Club with all that it has to offer! All your Music is wonderful, but I also love to see your Out-And-Abouts, your Behind the Scenes and Q & A’s; & all the pictures! I really got hooked on your little “Neve” video. You both really hooked me & reeled me in on that one! I’m a big animal lover too! (But I also love small animals; ha-ha!)

I recently ordered all 12 of your CD’s, the new Calendar, keychain & notebook! I’m anxious to see & hear everything! Someday I’ll order the Lyric/Chord Books. I’m always looking for different stuff to play on the guitar. And I’ve already been playing a few of your songs by ear on my Marimba!

I’m a retired Music teacher who sometimes substitutes for Music teachers I know. It’s really fun, (& can be a challenge,) to teach songs, drumming & instruments to young kids. I love teaching Band too! I can see you & Mona working with students sometime! (Maybe to do a recording of a few of your songs?!) Sorry for the long reply….I just get very enthusiastic about Music, teaching & performing!

You and your whole family are all very special people! You love what you do & it’s infectious! Keep up the great work, and don’t ever change! “I love you just the way you are!”

        THANKS AGAIN!! — Bud

  31. I had to hold off until my lunch hour to listen to the album undisturbed straight through. It felt like heaven opened up and shined amazing beauty. It is so sublime. Listening to this collection of Duo Session all together in an album, the beauty of your harmonies hit like a ton of bricks! The musicianship/instrumentation, the guitar work all just are stand out brilliant. You just don’t hear music presented so magnificently any more!

I love the new song “I don’t Mind”, the lyrics, the guitar and amazing uke finger picking is joyful. I love the choice of placing it back to back with Stuck In The Middle, they are both so fun bright and cheery. The 3 song run from Sound Of Silence – Vincent – to Alone is incredible. I am so glad you redid Alone, it is the pinnacle of this album for me. As beautiful as the previous two songs are, Alone with your harmonies and guitar work is absolutely stirring, monumental!

Oh you should have seen my smile when I heard the surprise guest singer! The MLT Trio in full spectacular display. Papa Rudi sounded amazing and is perfection in this song. Did I hear “teach your parents well”? HAHAHA.

I adore this album already, it’s beauty is amazing and stunning. It showcased your sublime harmonies and amazing musicianship to such a high level. Well done! You never cease to impress with every new project, every new album. Thank you so much for so much beauty and joy. WOW! 💛 ❤ 💜 🧡

Glad the weekend is here so I can indulge in this album some more. 😊

    1. Jung, I totally agree with you on those three songs together. I really like all the songs on this CD but those three together make a powerful statement of just how good these two girls have become. By the time it gets to those incredible harmonies on Alone I am lost for words and wonder how it can get any better, And then Look What They’ve Done starts and I just shake my head and smile. Amazing stuff.

      1. Hi Tim, yeah those harmonies are incredible, song after song, the beauty of it all is stunning.

  32. As a newbie to the MLT Club getting to hear this album pre-release has been a real pleasure. Love it. I’ll be sticking around. The sound of silence is hauntingly beautiful and Junk is my favoured so far but like the Why album, that’s going to change ever few days.
Well done MLT this is excellent 😉

    1. Hi Lindsay! Welcome to the Club, thanks for joining us here!! We’re glad you’re enjoying the early sneak peek 🙂

  33. I was super-excited to find that the postwoman had delivered this gem of an album after I returned from a local choral group (where I actually suggested we try some MonaLisa numbers). Still allowing it to percolate through me before deciding on any favourites.

Like all MLT albums there isn’t a single track you would want to skip over. Love it!

    Thank you ladies once again

    1. Wow, it’s great that the first CDs are arriving already! We’d love to hear a version of one of our songs from your choral group!! I bet that’d be amazing 🙂

      1. I’m still working on that. May take a while as we seem to be working our way through the Beatles back catalogue at the moment!

  34. Just an incredible album, no favorites for me, 14 great tracks. I must say all four of the original songs stand up very well against all the classic covers. I am sure glad Alone is on the album, it’s a beautiful song. I’m also glad to hear the little chuckle at the end of the harmonies in Everybody’s Talking was left in, always gives me a smile. I said it was my favorite album even before it was released and it’s now confirmed. Third time through and it just keeps getting better, Thank you so much, You are amazing.

  35. Oh Wow, WOw, WOW!
What an amazing album and choice of tracks, although I have to be honest and say I was not too keen on Sugar Man, perhaps it will grow on me.
Having said that, the other tracks were amazing, loved all your self penned ones
There are 3 covers that I thought were particularly outstanding, firstly “The Sound of Silence” your voices are so well suited for Simon and Garfunkel songs, I would love to hear you cover “The Boxer” such an amazing song with some of the cleverest lyrics of any song and sweeping melodies.
Secondly “Vincent” one of my all time favourites and executed to perfection, love it as much as the original
Last, but not least, “Teach your Children” Papa Rudi most certainly did that, what an amazing track, it would be good to hear him on some future tracks, maybe the next dou album could be called “Dou (+1) Sessions III”
Thank you for another fantastic musical experience, can’t wait for the CD to arrive
    Pail

    1. Thanks Paul, we’re so glad we got Papa Rudi to join in for that one ♥ That was such a special memory for all of us. Can’t wait to share the video version too!

  36. My package just arrived in the post! Just love the pictures in the calendar, really great photos – and so colourful – in which you both look so happy (as ever!). Will really brighten up my room every month. Can’t wait to play the CD to see what little surprises you have for us. Also love that there is a space to put my name inside the notebook!! Now I will have to think of some ideas to put in it!

  37. Mona & Lisa/Lisa & Mona,

You’re BOTH wonderful! I’m listening to your “Duo Sessions II” for the first time and enjoying letting your voices and guitar work wash over me and take my cares away!
My cat Boots is laying down peacefully nearby. My wife’s away on a business trip. So I’m getting ready for a day of cleaning up, yard work and instrument practice.

I tend to have music running thru my head when I’m doing other things. I know that these song renditions of yours will soon join my list of memory play backs! We’re lucky here — it’ll be sunny & 50 to 55 degrees — (Fahrenheit,) for 5 days!! So I must get outside “Before the rain comes back again.” (Hmmm…. that could be a great song title!)

You have chosen a great list of songs here, every single one is a GEM! The opener is perfect! “Everybody’s Talkin” seems to always remind me of being in New York City for a few years during the ’70’s and ’80’s. Of course, I have my Jazz memories too, but it all blends together.

Gonna fix breakfast and come back to listen to the rest, starting with “Sugarman” to the end. Looking forward to hearing Papa Rudi sing too!

Thanks again so much for everything you do! You make the World a much better place to live in!

    — Bud

  38. Way to go Daddee-o! You three sound very groovy indeed. I can’t wait to get the CD and add it to my jukebox. Love the song sequence. Everybody’s a great opener. With everything you release, In It For Love makes so much more sense now.

    Love,

    Marlo & JP

  39. “Teach Your Children” with Papa Rudi…totally made my day!!! The three of you should do trio-sessions more often!!!

    Miss you Dad…RIP (2027-2008)

  40. Today is a very, very good day!!! Thank you for this exquisite compilation. It is definitely what the world needs now! I love your new song, “I Don’t Mind” – it brings a smile to my face and opens a window to more hopeful, carefree places. “Alone” is a treasure which I am so glad that you are sharing again and preserving for years to come. It is impossible to name a favorite song – each one is musical perfection – but I have to admit that hearing “Teach Your Children”, with your dad included, brought tears streaming down my cheeks. If only all children had such a father to teach them!

  41. Well papa Rudi, you surely amazed me!!! What a melodieus voice it was a pleasure to hear you on teach your children, thank you very much. By the way you certainly teached your children well, such a peacefull and sweet twins, they are humble and very pretty and extremely good musicians!!

  42. Hello Ladies,
Oh Wow! Such a special treat today.
I love this Album! All the songs are fantastic, but 3 stick out above the rest for sentimental reasons.
I Don’t Mind, a new original song which is so very good, and such a surprise.
Alone, I’ve been waiting for this to drop for sometime. Everyone else has been waiting impatiently too. Our wait has been rewarded many heartfelt times over.
Teach The Children, what a surprise! The Legendary Papa Rudi joining “his girls” the Renowned and Legendary MonaLisa Twins! Such an extra special treat!
To borrow a line from a most beautiful song, “this world was never meant for someone as beautiful as you both”
Thank you for all the many wonderful things you do.
    Best always
    Rick Ross

  43. Had a few minutes (at work now), so skipped right to Alone and Teach Your Children. OMG! Loved Teach Your Children!!!! Harmonies gave me goose bumps. One of my favorite songs anyway, but I really, really enjoyed this version. Congrats on knocking out of the park!!!! Can’t wait to enjoy the rest this evening and have some multiple listens.

  44. I couldn’t wait so played song Teach Your Children first. Was great hearing Rudi and his ‘girls’ .The way they sang the lyrics was magical. I lust listened to them and sighed… Absolutely in love with this version. Listening to it the sixth time while typing this. Can hardly wait for the video.
Thank you Rudi and his ‘girls’ for this special treat and the Friday smiles! 🙂

  45. Well, at last, the playlist. A new tune, I Don’t mind; a vintage re-do, Alone; and a surprise new cover, Teach Your Children. Sweet! And by the way, who’s that guy voice discreetly in the background?
