Lanzarote – Exploring The Island – Photos

There’s no better way to snap out of business mode than to explore a desert island for the best volcanoes, coastlines, sand dunes, beaches, salines, you name it.

Dad’s new drone was finally allowed out of its bag to breathe in tons of fresh air. His Mavic 2 Zoom proved to be our perfect companion and, surprisingly, our most stable camera in three weeks of wind and very mixed weather conditions.

Join us up there on the deadly steep cliffs, in the vast black lava fields and the ever-changing golden sand dunes, taking in breathtaking views and getting sand and salty sea water mist here, there and everywhere.

  1. Great photos 🙂
Seeing that mastiff in the back of the ute (pickup) reminded me of some trivia you might already be aware of …
The Romans named the islands Insulae Canares – “The Isles of Dogs” – after the indigenous inhabitants’ impressive pets, no doubt. One bad translation is all it took to make them the Canary Islands!
While I try to avoid commenting on appearances gratuitously, I must say Lisa looks tres chic in her outfit (as you both do in Once Upon a Time)

  2. Superb photos! Looks like they could have shot one of the old western movies with Clint Eastwood out there most anywhere. Rough, beautiful country. Several good shots with Michaela. Don’t tell Rudi but his wife is a very attractive woman.

  3. So delighted to see you got plenty of down time and a chance to see so many of the sights on vacation. Has to be a relief from being cooped up in cold England dealing with the nasty weather. So many volcano cones and rocks strewn around I think you are qualified to go to Mars now. I hope you were able to clear your minds of the day to day grind of running your business to make room for some musically creative thoughts and vibes to inspire some new music. I think I should take a vacation now when my business slows down enough to play hooky.

  4. What a rugged, raw and inspiring landscape to reset your souls in. I am exhausted and out of breath just looking at the pictures of you all climbing and running up and around those rocky cliffs. What energy! Thanks for the inspiration! -guess its time to go out for a walk…

  5. Oh wow, more Lanzarote photos! What a treat. That island has some truly incredible terrain, I suppose because of the volcanoes, it looks out of this world like being on another planet. Love all that wide open country, and it looks like you all got some great exercise hiking and running through there. And what a cute island dog.

For all, I highly recommend turning on the Jukebox, and running all these Lanzarote photos on slide show mode listening to MLT music. It just feels very right.

Thanks Mona and Lisa for sharing all these wonderful and stunning pictures. Please, keep them coming! 🙂

  6. Amazing photos! A world away from where I am. You could very well have been on Mars with that contrasting, volcanic landscape. Nice to see a few photos of Michaela and Rudolf this time too. Also encouraging to see Lisa keeping up with her fitness regime while on ‘holidays’. Is Mona managing to keep up the pace? Very much looking forward to the results of your three week battery charger. Thanks once again for sharing these beautiful family photos.

  7. OMG… Stunningly Spectacular are the landscapes and scenery that Lanzarote has to offer… Most impressive… Love all the photos… Beauty was captured in all essences❤️????????????☮️????????????????????️????️????????
