Lanzarote – Settling In – Photos

The first thing we did after settling in at our remote farm rental was having a huge bright-yellow Paella at Arrieta beach with friends we made back in 2016. They kindly lent us their guitars so we didn’t have to risk ours on travel. And when we told them about our video filming plans they dug out their large-scale hiking map which came in very handy to find the right dirt roads to all the remote and dramatic looking places we sometimes saw from a distance.

In this gallery you’ll get a feel of the atmosphere and the joy we felt to finally walk down this beach again after three long years. Sun, sun, sun, here it comes …

  1. As I was reading the description for this photo album, the surprise jukebox switched to the next song. It was Here Comes The Sun. Must be magic.

  2. Wow…..I Love looking through holiday photo’s, the glorious sunshine, blue sky, beautiful sandy beaches, stunning ancient landscapes and great traditional food, and those little gems of humour…..especially the ‘CAR TETRIS’ Pic (Re : Half Moon Video)..I’m convinced Michaela’s exceptional organisational skills came into play here..!!…and the Papa Rudi pic with that tea cup… it was made for you.

  3. These are great pictures!
I’d like to brazenly caption a few:
    • Stowaway
    • Let the two headed beast sleep…
    • Abbey Airport Road
    • Boot Tetris Master
    • Orange Album Vol.2
    • (Photo sequence) a. “Dad, why are you lighting the fire? It’s really warm. b. Just hand me the matches… c. It will look really cool in the pictures.
    • Ahoy Mona!
    • Best (only) Boy.
    • Ow’l be watching you.
    Last but not least…
    • If You Are Going To… Lanzarote??

    Forgive me… I crack myself up sometimes…

  4. Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful, gorgeous holiday pics. Its so good seeing you relaxing and enjoying yourselves. You all work so hard. The first Paella I had was in San Francisco’s Mission district. Absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to see and hear what you have been working on. Love to all of you and thanks so much again for sharing.

  5. Nice, typical Holiday pics. I also was several times at the Canary Islands. But Paella isn’t mine. I once had it and I eated 3 days later still from it. Think it’s because of too much oil and garlic.

  6. Beautiful pictures! I can’t wait to hear the music. Glad you had a good, productive vacation. I’m sure you needed one after three years. This is so exciting! Thank you for sharing it with us. Much love to you all. ????????????????

  7. Lisa, just so wonderful that you remembered to leave Lampibampi’s head out of your bag for air! And Jacki, I can recommend Paella if you like rice and shell fish. The ones I’ve had in Australia usually include prawns, mussels and chicken. Sometimes sausage meat is substituted. Not ideal to cook for one but it is an excellent share dish and relative easy to cook as everything goes in the same pan. Do you have any Spanish restaurants where you live? The Canary Islands of course aren’t fair from Spain.

  8. Well it certainly looks like a splendid time was had by all. Sunshine and you all go well together. You added a lot of color to that volcanic island that’s for sure.

  9. Wow! What beautiful pictures! So glad you all had a wonderful relaxing battery recharging time. Glad to see Lampi Bampi again.???? Now you know the little sheep symbol in my posts. I see you stayed at the same place again this time. If the results of your song writing this time is any indication from the last time you were there, we are in for another Phenomenal Album. Thanks so much for sharing your vacation with us. ????❤????

  10. PS… Forgot to add in… What on earth is a Paella?!… Never heard of that before… Not familiar… Is it some kind of tradition or custom specific to/of Lazorate and surrounding area?!… I’d love to hear what it is from your explanation about it…. ????????

  11. Wow…. Just stunning… And definitely inspiration calling ya there… Wow… Even the candid family pix…. Awesome and the sun kissed glows you all have…. Lanzarote agrees quite so with you all… A very refreshing and creative time to Re-energize… Focus… Rejuvenate… Creativity Music Juices Flow…. Video ideas concepts grow… Your Smiles show… Fab U know… Glad all had fun and it was productively successful????????????????…. Kudos ????????????❤️????????????????????????????????????????????????️????️????????????️????️????✏️????

  12. Good gravy! Practically every one these photos is better than any I ever took on my vacations! It really helps to be both creative AND photogenic. Not easy to pick a favorite. So many excellent ones. But I might have to go with the zonked out MLT sleep mask shot.

  13. Just lovely. Thanks for sharing. I’m looking forward to that new video arriving in Early Access next week. “Four Strong Winds” perhaps? Now that would put the wind up your spinnaker!

  14. Paradise, breathtaking, beautiful, cozy, colorful, delicious, hippy, relaxing, stylish, more beautiful!… These are are just some words that raced through my mind as I looked through all these wonderful photos of your trip to Lanzarote. Wow, what a well deserved break and time to recharge! I’m glad to see Lampi is still traveling with you. Thanks so much for sharing these. Loved them!

      1. Thanks Lisa 🙂 . Looking at those beautiful Lanzarote scenery shots make me think, I need a break from this Canadian winter soon.
