Lanzarote – A Trip To Arrecife And The Market – Photos
Visiting one of Lanzarote’s markets is probably on every tourist’s bucket list … and rightly so. While we mainly wanted to see if it would be a good location for one of our videos the hustling and bustling of the busy market also provided lots of opportunities to take photos, discover local craftsmanship and grab some authentic street food.
When it comes to photo and video equipment our dad is usually very well prepared and loves tinkering around with it to find ways of getting the most functionality out of a camera, tripod or lens. Yet, in the progress of one of the video shoots, he realised that he could still use another gadget that would take days to get shipped from an online store though.
So he took the chance and off we went to Arrecife, the capital and biggest town of Lanzarote, to combine the shopping (We were getting tanned and need darker makeup, too … not a problem we’ve thought of in years) with sightseeing and some delicious food, of course, that you won’t get anywhere in England. To our utter amazement dad actually found this tiny but well-stocked camera store where he could get exactly what he needed!

I’m so pleased you all managed to get away for a well-deserved break, with the bonus of sunshine to work on your tans while chilling out and soaking up the beauty and culture of Lanzarote. I will probably never get to visit this lovely country but at least I get to experience its uniqueness through your, as usual, beautiful photos.
Being a motorcycle rider I tend to wear scarves during our relatively mild winters. My favourites are a silk pair, one white and the other red. I see Michaela has great taste in scarves and knows how and what to wear them with. I’d imagine she’d have an excellent collection hanging in her wardrobe, although I’d also imagine they’d make wonderful room decorations!
I’m typing this while listening to ‘Orange’. ‘In It For Love’ is my current favourite song, closely followed by ‘Close To You’. However, my favourites could easily change next time I listen to this album.

I could spend hours in a place like Arrecife and the Market, checking out the local culture, art, and unique shops and eateries. Looked like the weather was warm and gorgeous that day, a real paradise. Love your bright and timeless styles in the pictures.
Aha… The owl knapsack… Now I know where you bought the one one you have already… Used to draw names from sometimes… Lol… Am I correct in this revelation observation or you just happen to have a knapsack Lookalike twin?!… We have lemon stands like the Orange one in your photos for lemonade during outdoor festivals here in ????????… I love all your photos here… Such variety and that’s Frikkin awesome about Rudi happening to come across by chance ????… The wee camera shop with what he needed????????????????✌️????????????????☮️????????????️????️????????????????????❤️
