I Feel Fine – Live at the Cavern Club

One of our favourite things about this song are the drums.

Ringo always came up with unique drum parts for Beatles songs that took them to the next level and we think “I Feel Fine” is a perfect example of that. It would be a great tune regardless but his playing just gives it this extra something.

We’ve been playing this song live for yeaaars, ever since we started performing with a band in Austria and it was always a joy to play. Every drummer we’ve ever played with loved it, too 🙂 Of course it had to go on the setlist for our final Cavern Club show!

Enjoy!

  1. This cover is fantastic! I am at a loss for words with you two. To see such young musicians putting all they got into these classics warms the hearts of all. I am glad I joined the club!

  2. Ok, this one made me cry, right from the beginning with Lisa’s guitar sounding SO faithful t the original. You both have such excellent ears for the magical sound of the ’60s Mersey beat. Undisputed masters in my book. I’m still crying!

  3. I feel in love with this song on one of our U Tube video’s from a while back when you had a young lady playing the bass at one of your shows and watching and hearing this version just makes it all the better. You can not beat Mona on the lead vocals on this song, man she belts it out to no end and Lisa is tearing it up on the lead guitar. Wow this is what captures the spirit of 1964 to me. This is the beauty of the Mona Lisa Twins music, they bring back the spirt of what songs were meant to be played and make it their own. I am a bit late here because of work etc but catching up on a Sunday afternoon and wow I am just sitting back waiting for the release of Kansas city and Revolution from the live album, warning….you may want to open the windows and doors when the twins release those video’s , I know they had to replace the ceiling at the Cavern Club and hate to see you all with out roofs or windows….LOL…these ladies can rock like no one else in my book, keep it coming Mona and Lisa and as always stay groovy and yes Happy Anniversary Pa and Michella , god bless you both and thank you for being the grooviest couples ever!!!

  4. As I listen to the Cavern Club CD nearly every night as I travel around the paper route my mind imagines different things with each song and then eventually that video makes it to the MLT Club members and it helps me think of one of the greatest nights I never got to experience…being in Liverpool and experiencing the magic of the MonaLisa Twins in person…….I hope that eventually changes…Touring the States would be fabulous and I would get to as many of your shows as possible….I love what you do ….if you ever want to get that feed back at the beginning of the song like the Beatles did you gotta get the guitar close enough to the microphone to feed back the A note….I recently saw a video of Paul in an interview and he said that’s how they got that sound..it was accidental but they loved it and kept it on the record.❤️????

  5. The title of this song is exactly how I feel listening to it. The energy and enthusiasm you bring to the song is amazing. It’s like a caffeine fix. I get it every time I watch you videos or listen to your CDs. Plus it’s apparent you guys are having a great time up there. It looked like Mona was having a problem with the guitar strap when Lisa started the riff, maybe I’m wrong, but I think Lisa kept it going until Mona was ready. No panic, just two pros. I liked the drummer twirling the stick at the end. Great stuff. Mona and Lisa, you are just such based dolls; I’m glad I joined the Club. Peace be. Oh, and kudos to your folks too.

  6. Holy Moley goosebumps all over… the harmony, guitar, and drums… and I’m watching from the end of Lisa’s guitar… a total trip back to the ’60’s with the boys of Liverpool!!!

  7. We feel fine cause you’re our girls,
We’re so glad, we’re telling all the world
Its true, we tell everyone we see, how incredible you are and how gifted your musical talents are.
This amazing gift you have given the world is beyond anything we could have hoped for.
    We are the Lucky ones.
Best wishes in all you do always

  8. About the time I stumbled upon you guys, I was in the process of rebuilding my song collection of the Beatles and many of the others you have covered. I did not have a huge collection of vinyl but it was a decent selection. Lost all in a move or they ended up with an ex.
Instead, I’ve been buying your versions and for me, they equal or exceed the originals. I am continually amazed by your playing, singing, and just having fun while performing. They always bring a smile to me.

  9. Another fantastic video from The Cavern, and right now I Feel Fine!!! Great by all! I especially liked Charlie’s play on the drums and Lisa’s enthusiasm and interaction with everyone while still focusing on the riff. But, GREAT performance by all. Loved it!!!!

  10. Well now, that’s an #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Welcome to a Friday morning, and wknd ahead…. A perfect rendition, you can truly feel the energies eminating all around, it’s as though I was there in the flesh . 11. My all time favorite Beatles song well done by my favorite ladies! I always thought this was brilliant songwriting and playing and the best 1:59 in rock and roll history. Lisa ‘s Gretch is expertly picked while Mona does a great lead vocal. You girls don’t know how much I look forward to Friday’s now, thank you!

  12. I’m in LOVE with Mona & Lisa!! Because everytime I watch a video or listen to one of their cd’s….I FEEL FINE!!
Another Great cover of a Fab 4 classic!

Love & Hugs to Team MLT!!

  13. Always enjoy hearing a live performance, to see the lucky people in the crowd dancing and singing along. Thank you for sharing ! there is an interview with Ringo on the Conan O’Brian show from Feb. 2, 2012 ,he talks about his distinctive rhythm.

  14. Its 6:21 am here in Denver and I feel fine. Just a superb blend with everyone nailing this song. Perfect lead Mona!! Lisa you play Lead hitting every note!!!!! One of my favorites!!!! Thanks for perking me up and starting a new day!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  15. I’ll say it again – best live band ever! The precision of the rhythm parts with Lisa’s superb leads make this song jump off the screen. Ringo is rightfully respected for his many signature drum patterns – I Want To Hold Your Hand is my favorite drumming example.
But the best part of this song is Mona paying great respect to John’s lead vocal. The twins harmonies are so good because their vocal qualities fuse rather than lie on top of each other. It’s what makes Nowhere Man – both the Beatles and especially Mona and Lisa’s version – so awesome. Love MLT Fridays!!

  16. I’ve been fighting off a migraine ???? for the past few days, but after that gem I can only say “I Feel Fine!” ???? Thank You! ????‍????????️????????‍????????????

  17. I feel fine one of my favourite Beatles songs you two ladies have really done it justice wow wow wow I love it it’s one of my favourite tracks on the live at the Cavern Club Album

  18. TGIF!
You chicks rock! Here is another example of just how tight this band was.
Mona’s voice fits this song very well. And another great use of the guitar GoPro to show Lisa was having a ball.

The production crew did so well with these Cavern videos. They are super kool.

  19. Awesome drumming there by Charlie Skeggs for sure, and with Callum on bass you both had great musicianship support throughout all the songs on the album. Wonderful lead vocals from Mona and that cool lead guitar work by Lisa throughout the song is superb. Love to see you both jam out on the guitars there like that. You both do these great classics with such finesse and style on stage, it’s rock and roll perfection you bring us. It does indeed make me “(I) FEEL FINE”. Your music lights up my world! Love it, thanks! 🙂
