Kansas City – Live at the Cavern Club

Hey, hey, hey, hey!

We have reached the third to last song of our two sets at the Cavern Club (find the full playlist here).

This Beatles mash-up of two songs by Little Richard and Wilbert Harrison is one of those songs that would make anyone tap their feet. Perfect for the crescendo of the evening.

We loved a big ending for our Cavern nights so we would usually go full Rock ‘n’ Roll towards the end of our set. And getting the crowd involved was a good way to give our vocals chords a bit of a break towards the end of the night … A little help from our friends! 😉

We hope you enjoy the video and say bye, bye, baby! Bye, bye, bye, bye ….

  1. I’ve watched the Kansas City video several times as I really like the excitement it offers and as I listen to the CD I visualize what I see in the video…does that even make sense…I don’t know….but the real purpose of this comment today is…..the video that is playing is I Want To Hold Your Hand instead of Kansas City…..this started maybe a month ago when they were having internet problems…ever since then when attempting to watch Kansas City video it comes up playing I Want To Hold Your Hand video…anybody else having this problem ?

    1. Yes I just noticed within the last month. I too like the energy in the Twins version of Kansas City and I hope it can be returned to the lineup

So I can imagine seeing Mona and Lisa live, I will be jumping out of my skin….LOL.Thank you so much for sharing with us this great number and all I can say is wait till we see Revolution! Again open the windows and doors on this one as well because I think they had to repair the roof at the Cavern Club when they did this song! Also like I have been saying for a long time!! Mona and Lisa can rock with the best of them in my book and look out make sure you have no nick nacks you don’t want broken when you turn this one up!! wo woo…love Kansas City and Lisa was out of her mind doing this one on Guitar!!! 8. The band was on fire that night. It’s so much fun watching the four of you bring these songs together. And these videos are incredible. They have that “best seats in the house” feel. It’s the greatest show I never saw, but I feel like I was there? You chicks rock!

  9. There isn’t a face in that crowd that isn’t smilling. The one guy has almost tears of joy. People have waited a long time for this sound to return and your band does it so well.

  10. Wow the guitars, drums, singing were all so tight and perfect! Love when this one comes on the album, it’s like the excitement volume went past 10 on the dial! You ladies rock and roll with so much heart and soul. It is hard not to tap your feet and rock to the beat of this song. The crowd were rocking along too! No fancy showmanship or glitter required, just solid superb out of this world singing, guitar work and passion that moves the crowd into a frenzy of excitement! Awesome! 🙂

  11. I’ve said once and I’ll say it again…you girls need to put all the Cavern Club videos into concert form and release it on DVD. I bet a lot of people would order that… I know I definitely would!!!
Love ya girls, stay very groovy!!!

  12. Absolutely fantastic!! I could tell that the audience was having a blast. Wish I could have been there. Awesome performance by all of you, but especially you two. And, Lisa, hey, hey, hey!!! you really rocked Kansas! Wow! Loved the performance. You both rocked it, as always.

  13. Well, that still-frame isn’t quite what I expected to see – I guess it serves me right for standing so close to the front!

  14. You two are better than speed to get me jacked up. And kudos to the drummer – the energy you two bring is infectious. I like the crowd getting it to. They’re my age! Peace be.
